This paper presents the modeling and analysis of a power system on hybrid forklift. The modeling of hybrid is useful to predict the performance of the forklift and to determine the specifications of components such as engine, motors and batteries when the forklift is in the early stage of development. The hybrid configuration and characteristics are demonstrated to explain the modeling techniques. The model is validated by the test data of engine forklifts in the VDI cycle. The power system is analyzed in terms of the required power in case that forklift is driving or working. The fuel efficiency is also simulated, and the effect of hybridization on forklift is demonstrated.
