The species composition and variation in abundance of fishery resources near Oenarodo, Go-heung Peninsula, Korea, were investigated by gill net, trap net, and longline in May, July, and October 2015 and 2016. During the study period, the total catch included 14 species in the gill net, 11 species in the trap net, and 4 species in the longline. The dominant species were Portunus trituberculatus and Raja pulchrain the gill net, Charybdis japonicaand and Octopus vulgarisin in the trap net, and Muraenesox cinereusin in the longline. The Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) per individual and per weight in the gill net were similar in May and July of 2015 and 2016. In October 2015, the CPUE per individual was 2.1 ind./h and the CPUE per weight was 505 g/h higher than the results in 2016, but there was no significant difference in the total CPUE between 2015 and 2016. In the trap net, the CPUE per weight was similar in both 2015 and 2016, but the CPUE per individual was 2.7 ind./h higher in October 2015 than in October 2016 and the total CPUE was not significantly different from 2015 to 2016. The CPUE per individual and weight in the longline were significantly higher in July and October 2015 than in the same months of 2016, but the total CPUE in 2015 and 2016 did not show a significant difference.

Target strength (TS) information is an important parameter that estimates the detection, distribution, and abundance of Aurelia aurita. In order to investigate the biological TS of jellyfish, some factors such as size (bell diameter), tilt angle, pulsation, and symbion should be known. In the ex situ TS measurements, the tilt angles and pulsation from synchronized swimming behavior of four live A. aurita (bell diameters in the air: 54.2 ~ 94.2 mm) were measured with the acoustic data at 70 kHz. The reduced target strength (RTS) of A. aurita was found to change ranged from 13.4 ~ 16.5 dB according to the incidence angles from -30° to 24°. When the change rate of bell diameter in the water was 0.2, the TS value showed a 7.2 dB change. These results could be utilized as an important data to understand the acoustic characteristic scattering of A. aurita.
수중음향을 이용한 노무라입깃해파리의 행동 및 음향산란특성

The aim of this study is to find out the behavior and acoustic backscattering of the large jellyfish Nemopliema nomurai using hydroacoustics in situ. N. nomurai was distributed at depths ranging from 10~15 m during the day. Regarding the behavior of N. nomurai, there was no significant change in depth, and 3D tortuosity was not high. The vertical direction was ±10° from the horizontal, and moving speed was 0.9~1.5 m s.1.With regard to hydro.acoustical characteristics, the mean TS of N. nomurai ranged from .69.6~.56.0 dB at 38 kHz and .69.4~.54.5 dB at 120 kHz. TS variation (Max TS.Min TS) at 38 and 120 kHz was 0~10.2 dB and 0.2~16.0 dB, respectively. Mean TS and TS variation (Max TS.Min TS) of N. nomurai were higher at 120 kHz than at 38 kHz. The results showed that the use of hydroacoustics was effective in estimating the distribution depth, behavior, and acoustic characteristics of the target.

This study aimed to understand the characteristics and noise levels in large vessel entering, leaving, and anchoring in a port. Air and underwater noise were measured at the stem, middle deck, and stern of a vessel (about 30,000 tons and 60,000 tons, respectively) during anchoring. In addition, variations in noise were observed in the moving range of vessels while entering and leaving in a port. The air and underwater noise levels were found to be higher in the stern than in the stem and middle deck during anchoring. The noise was changed by tugs, engine use, and the moving range of target vessels while entering and leaving in a port.
길이에 따라 감소하는 빈도수 제한조건을 고려한 가중화 그래프 패턴 마이닝 기법

대규모의 데이터베이스로부터 숨겨진 유용한 패턴 정보를 찾기 위해 빈발 패턴 마이닝이 제안된 이래로, 다양한 종류의 접근 방법들과 어플리케이션들이 연구되어 왔다. 특히, 빈발 그래프 패턴 마이닝은 계속해서 복잡해져 가는 최근의 데이터들을 효과적으로 다루기 위해 제안되었고, 이와 관련한 다양한 효율적인 알고리즘들이 연구되어 왔다. 그래프 데이터베이스로부터 얻을 수 있는 그래프 패턴들은 이를 구성하는 요소들에 따라 다른 중요도를 가지며 길이에 따라 다른 특성을 갖는다. 하지만, 전통적인 빈발 그래프 패턴 마이닝 접근 방법들은 이러한 문제들을 고려할 수 없다는 한계점을 지닌다. 즉, 기존의 방법들은 마이닝 과정에서 추출되는 그래프 패턴들의 길이에 상관없이 오직 하나의 최소 지지도 임계값만을 고려하고 이들의 가중치 요소들을 사용하지 않기 때문에, 실제적으로 쓸모없는 그래프 패턴들이 상당량 생성될 수 있다. 작은 수의 정점과 간선을 갖는 작은 그래프 패턴들은 이들에 대한 가중화 지지도 값이 상대적으로 높을 때 흥미로운 특성을 갖는 경향이 있는 반면, 많은 정점과 간선을 갖는 큰 그래프 패턴들은 비록 가중화 지지도 값이 상대적으로 낮을지라도 흥미로운 특성을 가질 수 있다. 이러한 이유로, 본 논문에서는 길이에 따라 감소하는 지지도 제한조건을 고려한 가중치 기반의 빈발 그래프 패턴 마이닝 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제공되는 총체적인 실험 결과들은 제안되는 방법이 기존의 최신 그래프 마이닝 알고리즘과 비교하여 패턴 생성, 수행시간, 그리고 메모리 사용량 측면에서 더욱 뛰어난 성능을 보장함을 보인다. Since frequent pattern mining was proposed in order to search for hidden, useful pattern information from large-scale databases, various types of mining approaches and applications have been researched. Especially, frequent graph pattern mining was suggested to effectively deal with recent data that have been complicated continually, and a variety of efficient graph mining algorithms have been studied. Graph patterns obtained from graph databases have their own importance and characteristics different from one another according to the elements composing them and their lengths. However, traditional frequent graph pattern mining approaches have the limitations that do not consider such problems. That is, the existing methods consider only one minimum support threshold regardless of the lengths of graph patterns extracted from their mining operations and do not use any of the patterns` weight factors; therefore, a large number of actually useless graph patterns may be generated. Small graph patterns with a few vertices and edges tend to be interesting when their weighted supports are relatively high, while large ones with many elements can be useful even if their weighted supports are relatively low. For this reason, we propose a weight-based frequent graph pattern mining algorithm considering length-decreasing support constraints. Comprehensive experimental results provided in this paper show that the proposed method guarantees more outstanding performance compared to a state-of-the-art graph mining algorithm in terms of pattern generation, runtime, and memory usage.

Using nets and acoustic frequencies of 38 and 120 kHz, we estimated the density distribution of the moon jellyfish, Aurelia coerulea, in the Yeongsan Estuary, where a large bloom was detected. Aurelia aurita captured in nets had bell diameters of 3.2–22.0 cm and wet weights of 2.0–265.0 g, and the relationship between wet weight (W) and bell diameter (BD) was W = 0.1284BD2.5263 (R2 = 0.92). We examined the target strength (TS) difference (120–38 kHz) using a theoretical acoustic scatter model and found that the TS difference ranged from -1.5 to 2.2 dB when the bell diameter was the smallest during underwater pulsation, and from -1.4 to 1.7 dB when the bell diameter was the largest. Based on frequency differences, we found that the mean nautical area scattering coefficient (NASC) of A. coerulea for transects was in the range of 16.4 to 167.0 m2/nm2. In nets near the Yeongsan River Barrier and to its south, jellyfish were caught at a high density of 5.5 ind./m2. The mean density of A. coerulea measured using acoustic methods and nets was 0.16 ind./m2 and 2.02 ind./m3, respectively.
