        안면비대칭 3차원 CT 분석

        Purpose : This study aimed to identify the range of normal facial asymmetry using three-dimensional CT and to develop a simple method of diagnosis of facial asymmetry. Materials and Methods : Twenty eight adults with normal occlusion (16 males and 12 females; mean age 24 years and 1 month) were selected whose faces were assessed to be symmetric by an orthodontist. Three-dimensional reconstructions were obtained utilizing spiral CT scans and an oral and maxillofacial radiologist evaluated nineteen anatomic landmarks in three-dimensional coordinates. Facial asymmetry index of each landmark was caluculated. Results : The range of normal facial asymmetry of each landmark was identified using mean and standard deviation of facial asymmetry index. Conclusions : The range of normal facial asymmetry identified in this study may be used as a diagnostic standard for facial asymmetry analysis.

        인공치아 매식술 계획에 있어서 상이한 단층두께의 나선형 단층사진의 비교

        Purpose: To know whether there would be a difference among spiral tomograms of different slice thicknesses in the measurement of distances which are used for dental implant planning. Materials and Methods: 10 dry mandibules and 40 metal balls were used to take total 120 Scanorailll tomograms with the slice thickness of 2 mm, 4 mm and 8 mm. 3 oral radiologists interpreted each tomogram to measure the distances from the mandibular canal to the alveoalr crest and buccal. lingual and inferior borders of mandible. 3 observers recorded grades of 0, 1 or 2 to evaluate the perceptibility of alveolar crest and the superior border of mandibular canal. ANOVA with repeated measure. Chi-square tests and intrac!ass correlation coefficient(R₂, α) were used For statistical analysis. Results: There was not a statistically significant difference among spiral tomograms with different slice thicknesses in the measurement of the distances and in the perceptibility of alveolar crest and mandibular canal(p>0.05). All of them showed a good relationship in the reliability analysis. The perceptibility of alveolar crest and mandibular canal was almost similar and an excellent relationship was seen on all of them. Conclusions: There would be no significant difference. no matter which spiral tomogram of any slice thickness may be used in dental implant planning. considering the thickness of dental implant fixture.

        치과용 X-선 관구의 조정시간

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to introduce a method of obtaining the oscillation graphs of the dental x-ray tube heads relative to time using an accelerometer. Materials and Methods: An Accelerometer, Piezotron type 8704B25 (Kistler Instrument Co., Amherst, NY, USA) was utilized to measure the horizontal oscillation of the x-ray tube head immediately after positioning the tube head for an intraoral radiograph. The signal from the sensor was transferred to a dynamic signal analyzer, which displayed the magnitude of the acceleration on the Y-axis and time lapse on the X -axis. The horizontal oscillation of the tube head was measured relative to time, and the settling time was also determined on the basis of the acceleration graphs for 6 wall type, 5 floor-fixed type, and 4 mobile type dental x-ray machines. Results : The oscillation graphs showed that tube head movement decreased rapidly over time. The settling time varied with x-ray machine types. Wall-type x-ray machines had a settling time of up to 6 seconds, 5 seconds for fixed floor-types, and 1 I seconds for the mobile-types. Conclusion: Using an accelerometer, we obtained the oscillation graphs of the dental x-ray tube head relative to time. The oscillation graph with time can guide the operator to decide upon the optimum exposure moment after x-ray tube head positioning for better radiographic resolution.

        기저세포모반증후군을 동반하지 않은 다발성 악골낭 두 증례

        We present two cases of multiple jaw cysts not associated with basal cell nevus syndrome. Case 1: a nine year-old boy visited CNU Hospital for orthodontic treatment and his radiographs showed cystic lesions surrounding the crowns of teeth #13 and #17 respectively, which were diagnosed as dentigerous cysts. Subsequently, two more cysts were found on his follow-up radiographs in 12 and 15 months. The two cysts were determined to be odontogenic keratocysts. The boy had no skeletal abnormalities and no skin lesions associated with basal cell nevus syndrome. Case 2: a fifty-eight year old man had three impacted third molars with pericoronal radiolucencies, which were diagnosed as dentigerous cysts. He had no additional abnormalities associated with basal cell nevus syndrome. Multiple jaw cysts can occur at any age, and periodic radiographic surveillance may be needed for any cases of impacted tooth.

        워터스, 파노라마 방사선사진과 Scanora$\textregistered$ 방사선사진의 상악동 점막비후 진단 결과의 비교

        The purpose of this study was to compare the diagnostic performance of Waters' and panoramic view; maxillary sinus posteroanterior and lateral scanography of Scanora/sup (R)/ for mucosal thickening of maxillary sinus as well as to identify the utility of Scanora/sup (R)/ for the detection of maxillary sinus disease. The assessment was done at 66 maxillary sinuses in 45 patients and the results were as follows ; 1. Estimation of presence or absence of mucosal thickening. The sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive value of maxillary sinus posteroanterior and lateral scanography were 0.865, 0.860, 0.921, and 0.805 respectively and slightly higher than those of Waters' and panoramic views, which were 0.832, 0.835, 0.903, and 0.728 respectively. However, paired t-test showed no significant differences in the diagnostic performance of the two pairs of imaging modalities. 2. Estimation of the types of mucosal thickening. The diagnostic accuracy for type I, II, III was 75.3% on Waters' and panoramic view; 77.9% on maxillary sinus posteroanterior and lateral scanography. It was higher on the latter ,but showed no significant differences from that on the former. 3. Reliability of interpretation. In itraobserver and interobserver agreement, both overall rates of agreement and kappa-value were slightly higher on maxillary sinus posteroanterior and lateral scanography than on Waters' and panoramic views. There was no significant differences between the two pairs of imaging modalities. These results suggested that scanogram is a useful diagnostic radiography as well as Waters' and panoramic views for detection of maxillary sinusitis.

        CBCT를 이용한 3차원 안면비대칭분석

        Accurate analysis of facial asymmetry prior to any orthognathic or orthodontic treatment plan is essential in ensuring good treatment result. Dental CBCT (Cone-beam Computed Tomography) provides as actual three-dimensional measurements of distance and angle without any radiographic magnification as medical CT provides, while its field of view is limited to the oral and maxillofacial area. CBCT is a useful tool for the diagnosis of facial asymmetry. The coordinates of facial landmarks are obtained from the 3D reconstruction software which enables the establishment of perpendicular planes and the identification of the landmarks. Then, the bilateral discrepancies of the landmarks are obtained as spherical polar coordinates which can show the amount of asymmetry and its direction. A method of 3D analysis of facial asymmetry using CBCT is introduced in this report.

        대학생의 양성평등의식에 영향을 미치는 요인

        This study seeks to identify factors influencing the gender equality consciousness of university students and provide data to increase gender equality consciousness for university students based on the results. The subjects of university students in D and G city at the time, data collection was from April 1, 2016 to April 14, 189 questionnaires were used in the final analysis. The collected data using SPSS/WIN 20.0 program percentages, means and standard deviations, t-test, ANOVA, post verification was analyzed by scheffes test, correlation between variables affect the Pearsons correlation coefficient, gender equality consciousness used a multiple regression analysis. In results of the study, gender equality consciousness appeared as 3.23±0.48 points. Gender equality consciousness were a negative correlation with gender role stereotypes(r=-.711, p<.001) and a positive correlation with self-esteem correlation(r=.186, p=.011) and showed a negative correlation with control (r=-383, p<.001). Factors affecting gender equality in research subjects appeared to be gender role stereotypes and control, explanatory power was found to be 50.1%. Through this research requires the fellow study to determine the various factors affecting the gender equality consciousness of university students, it is necessary to improve the gender equality consciousness..
