이 논문은 소외에 관한 부버, 틸리히, 판넨베르크의 견해를 분석하고 그것이 죄의 문제를 다루는 데 있어서 성서의 자료를 적절하게 활용하는 지 평가할 것이다. 그 평가는 또한 다음과 같은 질문을 하면서 진행된다: “그들의 견해는 경험적으로 입증할 수 있는 것인가? 그들이 하나님의 법을 위반하는 것을 죄로 보는 관점을 희생하면서 그 개념을 지나치게 강조하고 있는가? 그들은 소외를 죄의 보편성과 연결하는 데 성공적인가? 그들의 사상에서 예수 그리스도가 정당하게 인식되고 있는가?” 따라서 이 논문은 소외에 대한 그들의 입장을 성서, 기독론, 경험에 비추어 정밀하게 분석하고 비평하려고 한다. 소외란 용어를 중심으로 전개되는 그 신학자들의 죄론은, 하나님과 인간의 관계에 초점을 맞춘 죄에 대한 논의가 무익하다는 학술적 분위기 속에서, 신학의 시대적 연관성에 공헌하고 있다. 그들의 입장은 성서적 근거를 제시하는 데, 그렇지 않다면 그 입장을 기독교적이라고 할 수 없다. 그들은 예수가 아버지와의 관계 속에서 참으로 그 곤경을 해소했다고 묘사하는 데 있어서 거의 같은 기독론적 견해를 보여준다. 그리고 그들의 경험적 지향성은 죄의 현실의 신비와 보편성을 해설하는 데 도움을 준다. 한편, 그들은 성서가 죄와 그 결과에 대해 무엇을 말하는 지 먼저귀를 기울이지 않고 있다. 세 신학자들은 인간의 경험에서 계시로, 상황에서 성서로 움직이는 경향을 나타내며, 소외에 관한 성서 구절들을 해명하는 것이 아니라 현대 사상가들의 견해를 차용하면서 결론에 이르고 있다. ‘아래로부터의 인간론’에 어떤 이점이 있지만, 인간의 경험이 신학적 교리를 설정하는 데 결정적인 요소가 될 수는 없다. 복음적 신학자들은 경험에 근거하여 변하기 쉬운 관점보다는 무오류한 성서의 계시에 더 관심을 기울여야 할 것이다. This thesis aims to analyze Buber``s, Tillich``s, and Pannenberg``s views of alienation and to evaluate them if they do justice to the biblical materials in dealing with sin. It will also assess their position, asking “Are their views empirically verifiable? Do they overemphasize the concept at the expense of the idea of sin as the violation of God``s law? Are they successful in relating alienation to the universal nature of sin? Is Jesus Christ appropriately understood in their thoughts?” Thus this thesis attempts to scrutinize them in the light of the Bible, Christology, and experience. The three theologian``s views of sin which revolve around the term alienation make contribution to the relevancy of theology, especially in the academic milieu that sees the traditional discourse on sin centered on human relation to God as futile. Their approaches to the subject betray a biblical perspective without which theirs cannot be labeled ‘Christian.’ They hold almost the same Christological view, portraying Jesus as the one who truly overcame the predicament in his relation to the Father. And their empirical stance could help decipher the mystery and universality of sinful reality. On the other hand, they fail to engage themselves first on what the Bible says about sin and its consequences. They tend to move from human situation to revelation, or from the context to the text, and are successful in arriving at their conclusion by hearing what their contemporaries think, not by expositing the related biblical verses. The anthropology from below has certain advantages, but human experience should not be the decisive factor in establishing theological doctrines. Evangelical theologians need to pay attention more to the inerrant Bible than to the mutable points of view based on experience.
