Lane Departure Warning System (LOWS) can prevent unintended lane crossover by using sound or haptical alarm corresponding to a degree of departing from center line. It is necessary to evaluate quantitatively the outputs of vision sensors which are the recognized lane parameters such as departure distance, departure angle, and road curvature. To the objective, DGPS RTK (Differential Global Positioning System Real Time Kinematics), which can provide 2-3㎝ accuracy of vehicle positioning, is used for evaluating the lane parameters obtained via Kalman Filter and the ones calculated by geometric approach for each frame(Top view frame).

ASV systems such as ACC, LDWS, LKAS, and FRMS provide the advantage of convenience and safety to a driver. Some ASV systems have been using radar and/or camera as sensors for their application. We need, thus, verification method to validate their performance and characteristics during the development. In this paper, the validation system is developed and its effectiveness is shown by comparing with a short range radar for stop & go and vision sensor for LDWS.
