This study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of permeation flow change after anti-chemical pre-treatment of microfiltration flat-sheet membrane that made of chlorinated PPS. This research used 0.5 wt. % NaClO for chloric condition, 1.0 wt. % HCl and pH 4 buffer solution for acidic condition, 4.0 wt. % NaOH and pH 10 buffer solution for alkaline condition, and the change of durability is investigated 1, 3, 5, and 10 day after. As a result, the permeation flow in the chemical resistance solutions was increased or decreased according to the anti-chemical characteristics. Especially, the permeation flow between PPS membrane materials was increased or decreased even on the same conditions. From the result, it is noticed that the permeation flow characteristics are more influenced by membrane material and chemical than the chemical resistance solution used. In addition, further study is required to establish the optimal condition for the membrane material.
