A Primitive Model of An Expert Training Model

The field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is growing, and many firms are investing in expert system, one of Al's subfields. An expert system is defined as a computer program designed to replicate some aspect of the decision making of one or more experts and to be used by nonexperts. The kernel of an expert system is the knowledge base, which consists of the facts and rules that represent the expert's knowledge. Firms need expert systems for training employees to provide competitive advantage. This paper describes the model of an instructional expert training system which interfaces to external programs, such as an ASCII file, a worksheet program, and a database program. A model for such an expert training system, and its protoype have been developed to demonstrate its functionality. A modular knowledge base has been developed and implemented in support of this study. The modularized knowledge base offers the user an easy and quick maintenance of facts and rules, which are frequently required to change in future.
Epidemiology of underactive bladder: Common but underresearched

Detrusor underactivity (DU) or underactive bladder is a common cause of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), but it is still poorly understood and underresearched. Although there has been a proposed definition by International Continence Society in 2002, no widely accepted diagnostic criteria have been established for this entity in clinical practice. Therefore, it has been rare to identify community-based researches on the epidemiology of DU until now. Only certain studies have reported the prevalence of DU in community-dwelling cohorts with significant LUTS using arbitrary urodynamic criteria for DU and these investigations have indicated that DU accounts for 25%–48% and 12%–24% of elderly men and women, respectively. However, these prevalence data based on the urodynamic definition apparently are limited in their extrapolation to the general population. Despite the clinical ambiguity of DU, its clinical effects on quality of life are quite significant, especially in the elderly population. An overall and proper comprehension of epidemiologic studies of DU may be crucial for better insight into DU, relevant decision making, and a more reasonable allocation of health resources. Therefore, researchers should find clues to the solution for the clinical diagnosis of this specific condition of LUTS from contemporary epidemiologic studies and try to develop a possible definition of ‘clinical’ DU from further studies.
A Framework for Inteligent Remote Learning System

Intelligent remote learning system is a system that incorporate communication technology and others : a database engine, an intelligent tutorial system. Learners can study by themselves through the intelligent tutorial system. The existence of a communication, database and artificial intelligence enhance the capability of IRLS. According to Parsaye, an intelligent databases should have the following features : 1) Knowledge discovery. 2) Data integrity and quality control. 3) Hypermedia management. 4) Data presentation and display. 5) Decision support and scenario analysis. 6) Data format management. 7) Intelligent system design tools. I hope that this research of framework for IRLS paves for the future research. As mentioned in the above, the future work will include an intelligent database, self-learning mechanism using neural network.

본 연구는 자동차 부품생산업체의 생산성과 관리수준 향상에 필요한 공정관리시스템을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 효율적인 공정관리시스템을 위하여 MRP기법의 적용을 하였으며, 결과로, 재고율 감소, 생산기간 및 노력 감소, 제품의 납기능력 향상 등의 효과가 발생하였다. 본 논문은 위 MRP를 적용한 공정관리시스템 및 방법에 대하여 기술하였다. In this research, we have developed the process management system for an automobile parts manufacturer to improve its productivity and management. The technique of MRP is used for developing such an efficient process management system, so that the results shows the following effects: decreasement of stocks, work hours and efforts, and improvement of meeting the deadline of production. This paper describes the development of the process management system using MRP and employed methogology.
