GTX(Great Train Express), the wide area express train of a big city center of metropolitan area, is the best new transportation method able to realize 'Low Carbon Green Growth' for solving traffic congestion of the metropolitan area with the connection the metropolitan area into 40-minute life zone by speeding up the standardized velocity, making the route straight and reducing the compensation of land using the space of 40∼50m below the ground. In the transportation sector all over the world, if it turned into the public transportation system focusing on the train at a point of time that low carbon green revolution takes the initiative, national competitiveness would be enhanced by reducing the emission of carbon from cars by 1/6. Accordingly, this study is to look into the efficient operation in accordance with GTX construction superintended by currently Gyeonggi province and to consider the optimum operation plan of GTX that are proper for the actual circumstances of the country by comparatively analyzing overseas cases that took their positions as new transportation by curtailment of transit time through highspeed such as London area, Paris area, and Tokyo area etc that are similar to Korean metropolitan area

Low carbon green growth of railway has been mentioned as an alternative plan due to severe environmental, traffic problems that are caused by overdevelopment of road transportation in Korea, therefore they are constructing new road, improving road and railway throughout the country. But railway station areas have caused traffic congestion and lack of facilities for customer despite of progression, because the development was focused on commercial part and was poorly organized. Also it is said that they need to diversify their business except for railway fare. This report will suggest right way with analyzing domestic and foreign research about development plan in railroad station areas that can enhance a quality of residents’ life and create a new growth base in the railway station areas.
해외 도시철도 O&M 사업의 민간참여 방향제시 및 활성화 방안

국내철도 O&M시장의 성장 및 발전의 일취월장에 따라, 이를 통한 축적된 노하우와 인적자원을 바탕으로 해외철도시장 진출에 지속적인 도전을 하고 있음에도 불구하고 해외철도사업 수주는 현재 전무한 실정이다. 당면과제인 해외철도시장의 활발한 진출을 위하여는 전제조건으로 Value chain, 즉 투자유치, 설계, 시공, 시운전, O&M 등에 대한 Total Package System이 구축되어야 하며, O&M분야에 대한 경쟁력 확보를 위한 체계적 시스템이 반드시 마련되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 도시철도 O&M사업 분석을 통해 해외 O&M 사업의 기본방향을 제시하고, O&M사업의 접근방법으로 핵심가치 및 운영사업 Mechanism, 운영조직구성 및 수행형태, 운영업무별 특성 분석 등을 통해 해외 O&M 사업의 활성화 방안을 제시하여 해외철도 사업 진출의 가능성을 높일 수 있는 기반을 조성하고자 한다. Our domestic railroads O&M market has been dramatically improved and developed. Using our accumulated knowledge and human capital from the experience, we have been trying to break into international market. Even with ongoing effort to accomplish this mission, so far, the result has been close to failed to attract international participants. In order to attract and compete with international market participants, Total Package System for the Value Chain (Investment, design, initial operation, and O&M) must to be established. As a solution to the challenges we faced, this research will analyze the domestic O&M business to set the initial directional guidance to increase the probability to success in international market.
