In this study, the variation of the flow field in Hydro-reactive engine combustor was numerically studied through 2-dimensional axisymmetric model with aluminum and heated water vapor. For calculating all velocity fields, compressible Navier-Stokes equation was used with Pre-conditioning. AUSM+up(p) method was used to exactly calculate mass flow in the control volume. As using SST model that is a turbulent model, the result had high accuracy for free stream and the flow near the wall. The effects of the temperature, variation of the flow field and distribution of chemical products on inject angle of heated water vapor were studied.

The corrosion of steel reinforcing bar(re-bar) has been the major cause of the reinforced concrete deterioration. FRP(Fiber-reinforced polymer) reinforcing bar has emerged as one of the most promising and affordable solutions to the corrosion problems of steel reinforcement in structural concrete. In this study, long-term durability performance of FRP re-bar were evaluated. The mechanical and durability properties of two type of CFRP- and GFRP re-bar were investigated; the FRP re-bars were subjected to alkaline solution, acid solution, salt solution and deionized water. The mechanical and durability properties were investigated by performing tensile and short beam tests. Experimental results confirmed the desirable resistance of FRP re-bar to aggressive chemical environment.

This study researched the structure of the source of an ion milling machine used to fabricate a scanning electron microscope (SEM) sample. An ion source is used to mill out samples of over 1 mm dimension using a broad ion beam to generate plasma between the anode and cathode using a permanent magnet. To mill the sample in the vacuum chamber, the ion source should be greater than 6 kV for a positive ion current over 200 μA. To discover the optimum operating conditions for the ion miller, the diameter of the extractor, anode shape, and strength of the permanent magnet were varied in the experiments. A silicon wafer was used as the sample. The sputter yield was measured on the milled surface, which was analyzed using the SEM. The wafer was milled by injecting 1 sccm of argon gas into the 0.5 mTorr vacuum chamber.

Neurofibromatosis, first described by von Recklinghausen in 1882, is a dominantly inherited mesodermal and ectodermal dysplasia with a broad spectrum of clinical findings. Most clinicians know that von Recklinghausens neurofibromatosis denotes more than the dermatologic curiosity of cafe-au-lait spots. In this disease, neurofibroma can be found everywhere in the body, but gastrointestinal neurofibroma associated with von Recklinghausens disease is infrequently reported. Patients with this disease may experienee gastrointestinal hemorrhage, small bowel obstruction, malignant degeneration of neurofibromas. Recently, the authors experienced a case of simultaneously developed gastric neurofibroma and leiomyoma in a patient with von Recklinghausens disease and associated literatures were reviewed.

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma is the major subset of soft tissue sarcomas which occurs most commonly in the extremities and trunk, but rarely in the visceral organs. This report documents a case of malignant fibrous histiocyoma arising in the omentum in 36 year-old female whose chief complaints were growing non-tender masses. After surgical resection, there are no evidences of recurrencee or metastasis during 4 months follow up period. Electron microscopic study of the tumor showed irregular, spindle-shaped histiocyte with large indented nuclei and prominent nucleoli. The cytoplaem was abundant with microfilament and distended mitochondria. There was no evidence of myofibril in the tumor.

Cords have commonly been used as reinforcing materials in rubber composites. To improve cord/rubber interfacial adhesion, the cords are usually coated with an adhesive (typically based on Resorcinol-Formaldehyde-Latex(RFL)). These cord/rubber composites have been used in many sectors such as the tire, hose and belt industries. Interfacial adhesion between cord and rubber is an important determinant of the durability of the composite system. In this study, newly developed polyketone cord was coated by dipping in various RFL-based adhesive primers and then bonded to natural rubber by a compression molding method. The resin/latex ratio in the RFL adhesive primer was varied in order to achieve the optimal mixing ratio. Polyketone cord was treated with primers at various heating temperatures and dipping times. To measure the adhesion strength between the polyketone cord and the natural rubber, and the fatigue resistance of the composite system, the H-test and the tension-compression test were performed. The surface of the polyketone cord treated with primer was examined by attenuated total reflectance (ATR) spectroscopy and other instrumental techniques.

일반적인 고체추진제의 산화제인 ammonium perchlorate (AP)는 염산과 같은 독성 가스와 대기오염을 발생시켜 환경적 문제를 야기한다. 산화제 중 N-guanylurea dinitramide (GuDN)는 높은 성능과 압력 지수를 가지고 있으며, 가스발생기 추진제에서 연소하는 동안 친환경적인 연기를 배출하는 성질을 가지고 있기 때문에 환경 친화적으로 효과적인 후보 물질이다. 본 논문에서는 가스발생기 추진제로서 추진제 특성 및 연소특성에 대하여 연구하였다. Ammonium perchlorate (AP) as an solid propellants oxidizer could create a poisonous gas and atmospheric pollutions, such as HCl. Among the several oxidizers, N-guanylurea dinitramide (GuDN) is an effective candidate substance for eco-friendly oxidizer, which has high performance, pressure exponent, and eco-friendly smog during combustion for solid propellant of gas generator. In this paper, the characteristics as a gas generator propellant and combustion characteristics were studied.
도로 하부 통과 배관의 주행 하중 속도에 따른 진동 특성

지진 및 외부 진동에 의하여 구조물에 발생하게 되는 진동량은 진동 속도와 피해규모가 비례하는 관계에 있음을 고려하여 일반적으로 진동속도로 나타내어진다. 본 연구에서는 진동 속도 기반의 구조물 진동 기준을 검토하고, 이를 고려하여 도로 하부 매설 가스 강관의 안정성 평가를 수행하였다. 가스공사 주사용 배관인 762 mm API 5L Gr. X65 강관을 해석 대상 배관으로 선정하였으며 도로설계기준에 의하여 지반 매설 조건 및 DB-24 하중을 다양한 속도에 대한 시간 함수로 고려하여 재하하였다. 진동속도는 차량 진행 속도 80 km/h까지 증가하다가 이후 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 차량 진행 속도 80 km/h에서 0.034cm/s의 진동 속도를 보임으로서 진동 기준 대비 매우 작은 값임을 확인하였다. 또한 감쇄법칙을 적용하여 진행파의 속도를 분석한 결과, 차량 진행 속도 80 km/h에서 가장 작은 속도를 나타내었다. Vibration velocity induced by earthquakes or external vibration sources is one of the integrity assessment indexes, and is also a representative value used to describe the amount of vibration because it is based on a proportional relationship with the damage scale. In this study, the vibration velocity criterion for structures is first examined. Then, based on the velocity criterion, an integrity assessment is performed. Burial condition is set up based on the “Highway and Local Road Design Criteria” with API 5L Gr. X65 pipeline (D = 762 mm). The FE model considers DB-24 vehicle load as a time function with a varying velocity in the range of 20~160 km/h. Maximum vibration velocity occurs at v = 80 km/h and decreases after v = 80 km/h. The maximum vibration velocity of buried pipeline by DB-24 loads is about 0.034 츠/s. The velocity that occurs is in the range of allowable values for each vibration velocity criterion. The wave propagation velocity was identified based on attenuation law and the minimum value appears at vehicle velocity 80 km/h that has maximum vibration velocity.
