The Incas’ myth of origin is generally divided into two versions. One indicates Pacariqtambo as the place of origin and the other, Lake Titicaca. It is practically impossible to know which is correct. But the Lake Titicaca version is less convincing. However, this version has prevailed until today. There was even a version that combines both, but indicating the Lake Titicaca as the place of origin and Pacariqtambo as the place of passage. In Lake Titicaca, Sun Island with a sacred rock, indicated as the place of Incas’ origin. It is said that the Incas paid special attention to the island and built a temple of the sun. However, it seems that these events were conducted to gain political legitimacy after the conquest of that region. Titicaca version could also be a suitable material for a kind of religious reformation carried out by Pachacutec, since the Pacariqtambo version dosen’t mention clearly that the founders of the Inca were sent by the Sun.

By Night in Chile(2000) by Roberto Bolaño is a novel about the person who became an absolute power in the literary field for his service to political power during the period of Pinochet's military dictatorship. Therefore, it usually causes a political reading. However, it is a novel worthy of being addressed in the light of the postdictatorial theory, established by Alberto Moreiras and Idelber Avelar. Above all, Bolaño's approach to the bombardment and the vigil by the helicopter at the moment of the coup shows a clear symptom of melancholy according to Freud, an important inspirator in that theory. While Raú Zurita, a Chilean poet, tries to create a condition of mourning through the flight of life in a performance, Bolaño gives the impression that he immortalizes the flight of death by not getting rid of the trauma of the coup. Although the postdictatorial theory offers solid arguments to interpret By Night in Chile, this novel can not be classified as a postdictatorship novel, because Bolaño's trauma is rooted in the disillusion regarding to the era of revolution of Latin America. Therefore, this article proposes to read it as a postrevolution novel.
