        The Role of Conflict Management for Sustainable Relations - SER Mechanism as a new Paradigm -

        A lot of corporation pay attention to globalize due to development of IT and economic development in developing countries. This is very important issue for global corporation. Especially, International Joint Venture(IJV) is becoming a key mechanism of international growth. But, there are many international joint venture’s conflicts because subsidiaries firm has formed came from different countries. Many researchers have reported high rate failure in international joint ventures; a failure ascribed to the difficulty in resolving conflict problem. Therefore, the conflict resolution of IJV is big problem not only researchers but also managers. So, this study has focused on finding conflict deduction and conflict management. This study has analyzed the existing studies on conflicts as a whole and has explored a tangent point between studies on conflicts and management of international joint ventures. And it has also analyzed the theories of resource-based approach, transaction cost approach(TC), agency cost theory(AC) and social network approach. As a result of this analysis, conflict resolution and avoidance could not be explained. Instead SER-M mechanism approach need to be introduced and finally we founded it is feasible paradigm to analyze conflict resolution management.

        한일 간 소재부품산업의 기술 및 인재교류 확대 방안

        This paper examines the necessity and importance of cooperation expansion of high-class technical human power in Japan-Korea’s the part material industry, and is groping for the concrete plan for it. The results showed that the environment to say and which is turned to cooperation expansion of high-class technical human power coming out is preparing between Japan and Korea. For improvement in advanced manufacturing technique, technical human power of Japan is required for Korea. Moreover, in order for Japan to also create new business, Korean technical human power is required. Therefore, considering the relations of interdependence between Japan and Korea’s the part material industry, this paper is arguing that the plan of the following cooperation expansions should develop. First, should expand more the exchange program of the mutual technical human power in the part material industry promoted now. Second, it is building the reformist network of global technical human power between Japan and Korea. 본 연구는 우리나라 소재부품산업의 경쟁력 강화 및 제조기업의 생산성 향상 및 숙련도 제고를 위한 대일 기술 및 인재교류 확대에 초점을 두고, 그 중요성과 긴요성을 도출하여 구체적인 활성화 방안을 검토하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 특히, 일본의 숙련된 퇴직기술자 유입 및 국내 전문 기술인력의 교류 확대를 위해서는 지속적인 체계적인 인재 DB 구축과 체계화된 시스템 구축․운영이 현실화되어야 하는 과제에 대한 체계적인 대책을 모색하는 데 역점을 두었다. 한국은 고도의 생산기술과 제품의 경쟁력 향상을 위해서는 고숙련 산업 기술인재 육성과 이를 위한 시스템 구축이 필요하며, 일본은 정체기조에 있는 일본식 경영의 장점을 최대한 활용하면서 세계 시장의 고도화와 다양화에 대응하는 새로운 비즈니스 창출을 위해서는 대내외적 글로벌 인재의 육성과 활용 시스템이 요구된다고 하겠다. 이에 한일 양국은 각국이 확보하고 있는 소재부품분야의 기술 및 인재를 서로 도입․활용할 수 있는 네트워크 구축 및 시스템 운영에 초점을 두고 실현 가능성이 높은 세부 실행방안을 도출하는데 역량을 집중해야 한다. 또한 지금까지의 한일 양국간 교류․협력 관련 사업이 일방적인 요청사업 형태로 전개되어 온 점을 감안하여, 상호 이익창출과 동반성장을 이끌어 낼 수 있는 체계적이고 지속적인 “글로벌 네트워크 사업”으로 확대․발전할 수 있는 프로그램이 구축되어야 할 것이다.

        택배산업의 해외진출 성공요인에 관한 탐색적 연구

        본 연구는 일본택배산업의 해외진출 사례를 파악한 후 한국 택배산업에 주는 시사점을 제시하고자 연구되었다. 이를 위해 일본의 대표적인 택배기업인 야마토운수와 사가와큐빙의 국내외 전략을 탐색적으로 연구하였는데 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일본 최고의 택배운송기업인 야마토 운수와 사가와 큐빙은 끊임없는 서비스품질 개선노력, 다양한 신제품 출시, 차별화를 통하여 일본시장에서 1, 2위를 차지하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 경쟁사의 차별화요인을 그대로 따라하는 전략은 유용하지 않음이 일본의 택배기업에게도 적용됨을 파악하였다. 셋째, 해외진출을 함에 있어 일본기업들은 상상을 초월하는 기간동안 지속적으로 현지조사를 한 후에 해외진출을 하는 것으로 파악되었다. 넷째, 현지 고객들에 대한 철저한 조사를 통해 고객이 원하는 욕구에 바로 대응하는 것이 효과가 있음이 밝혀졌다. 마지막으로, 양적 성장도 중요하지만 질적 성장도 중요시하는 균형적인 성장이 필요함이 밝혀졌다. 본 연구는 물류 및 택배산업이 중요한 산업으로 성장하고 있는 상황에서 국내 기업에게 시사하는 바가 큰 것으로 판단된다. The purpose of this research is to provide significant implications to Korean courier service companies by search Japanese courier service companies Yamato transport and Sagawa Express. The results of study are as follows. First, Japanese courier service companies, Yamato transport and Sagawa Express, always trying hard to offer new and developed service to customer. And they also constantly check rival companies not to be left behind rival companies through launching new service. Second, both companies not to mimic what rival companies did. Third, we knewthat they investigate for a long time to expand overseas. Fourth, we also found that quick response through investigation foreign countries customer is one of the most important thing to global companies. Finally, not only quantitative growth but also qualitative growth is of vital importance for balanced growth. The results of this studied providesmany implications to global companies.

        일본의 지역문화 축제가 지역경제 활성화에 미치는 영향

        This study identified the implications to the festivals in Korea by analyzing on the cases of Nebuta festival of Aomori and Namahage Sedo festival in Akita area which are the typical festivals in Japan regarded as the advanced country of festival is concerned by aiming at the point that the history of festival is too short and ripple effect to the economy of festival is not so big except some festivals since performing the local government system in 1996 and the results of the study are as follows. Firstly, it implies the necessity of periodic survey on the features of the visitors and the consuming behavior inside the district to operate the festival effectively because the festivals are important to the residents and the companies in the district, and makes diversified influences on the district and its economic ripple effect is too big. Secondly, it was revealed that it is effective to improve the image of the district to the visitors of the festival to attract the re-visiting of the tourists to the regional festival. Thirdly, the necessity of holding the festivals with insufficient effect at the same period by establishing the festivals and networks in the adjacent areas rather than to hold the festival independently is implied. Fourth, it was revealed that the provision of independent festival for the tourist can be a strategy for the festival while the festival for the local residents by differentiating the small and traditional festivals in the district should be performed in conventional way. Fifth, it was found that the role of the administration such as the infrastructure maintenance for the festival to be successful is very important. Finally, the effect of ripple effect of the festival was mentioned in this study and it implies that the understanding and the knowledge on the festival by the residents and administrators in the competent local government shall be widened.         고속철도 개통이 지역경제 활성화에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        2004년 경부고속철도 개통에 이어 2015년 3월에 개통한 호남고속철도는 지역경제 활성화에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 사회 및 문화방면에도 많은 영향을 미쳤다. 호남고속철도의 개통은 경부와 호남의 양대 축으로 국토가 균형있는 발전을 할 수 있도록 촉진하였으며, 이를 계기로 KTX네트워크가 대도시뿐만 아니라 중소도시까지 전국 곳곳으로 확장되는 결과를 낳을 것으로 예상된다. 근간에 일부 지자체에서는 목포-제주 KTX의 건설을 요구하고 있는데 이 또한 국토의 균형발전을 원하는 측면에서의 요구로 받아 드릴 수 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 측면에서 2015년 3월에 개통한 호쿠리쿠 신칸센의 사례를 분석하여 일본 서부지역의 경제 활성화 현황을 분석하고자 연구되었다. 1997년 개통된 도쿄 나가노 신칸센구간이 가나자와까지 추가로 228Km가 2015년 3월에 개통되면서 호쿠리쿠 지방의 전통시장을 비롯하여 관광지에 많은 관광객들이 찾고 있으며, 수도권에 본사를 두고 있던 기업들이 호쿠리쿠 지방으로 본사를 이전하면서 지가가 상승하는 등 긍정적 경제효과가 많이 발생하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이러한 사례분석의 결과를 바탕으로 일본 고속철도 개통이 지역경제에 미치는 효과가 한국에 시사하는 이론적, 실무적 시사점을 제시하고자 연구되었다. In these days, the importance of high speed train has rapidly increased in local economy. The purpose of this study is to deduce implication to Korea through analyze Hokuriku Shinkansen which is opened on March 2015. The results of this study as follows. First, this study also find that the opening of high speed train is the main reason for the increase in tourist at local area. By the way, number of local flight passengers at Komatsu airports was decreased after the Hokuriku Shinkansen began operations in 2015. Second, central and local government needs to take systematic measures for entry process of other local companies. But, at the same time local government need new initiatives against spin-off effect of local companies. Third, this study provides important implication that local governments must cooperate central and other government to find an effective economy policy. In conclusion, the opening of high-speed train will bring more balanced local development. So, central and local government should construct high speed train to economic recovery and increase tourists in local areas.

        일본기업의 BOP시장 진출전략에 관한 탐색적 연구 -한국기업으로의 시사점을 중심으로-

        본 연구는 미국, 유럽뿐만 아니라 일본이나 중국기업의 BOP시장 진출이 활발한 상황에서 경제적으로 우리나라와 상황이 유사한 일본기업의 BOP시장 진출 성공사례를 살펴본 후 한국기업에게 제공하는 시사점을 파악할 목적으로 연구되었는데 연구결과와 시사점은 다음과 같다. . 첫째, BOP 시장에 진출하기 위해서는 사업의 비용과 불확실성을 낮추어야 한다. 둘째, BOP 시장에 대응할 수 있는 인재를 양성해야 한다. 셋째, BOP 시장에 적합한 제품의 개발이 필요하다. 넷째, BOP 시장진출기업 대한 정부의 적극적인 지원이 필요하다. 마지막으로, 국제 NGO 단체와의 적극적인 연계가 필요하다. 본 연구의 결과는 BOP 시장에 대한 관심이 적고, 관련연구가 많지 않은 상황에서 이러한 시장에 새롭게 진출하려는 기업에게 의미있는 시사점을 제공하고 있다. In the 2000s, Japanese and Chinese companies entered the BOP market, as well as the US and Europe. So, this study investigated the successful cases of Japanese companies which launched the BOP market. Afterwards, we tried to find implications from research results. The results and implications are as follows. . First, in order to enter the BOP market, the cost and uncertainty of the business should be lowered. Second, we must cultivate talented people capable of responding to the BOP market. Third, it is necessary to develop products suitable for BOP market. Fourth, the Korea government should actively support the companies which are intended to enter the BOP market. Finally, active linkages with international NGOs are needed. The results of this study provide meaningful implications for firms that are interested in the BOP market.

        해외자회사의 경쟁우위에 관한 탐색적 연구: 휠라코리아와 데상트 코리아를 중심으로

        The purpose of this study is to propose a strategy to overcome the difficulties derived from overseas advancement by raising the competitiveness of overseas subsidiaries in the situation of many companies entering overseas and establishing overseas subsidiaries. . To accomplish this goal, we analyzed the case of FILA Korea and DESCENTE Korea which are active in the domestic market among companies that are relatively successful in the global market. The results and implications are as follows. First, successful overseas subsidiaries has a strong CEOs' leadership and management skills. Second, strong overseas subsidiaries usually pursuing localization continuously. Finaly, looking at the characteristics of the two companies, which are strong overseas subsidiaries, they differ from the parent company in that their core competencies are not merely competitive in the local market, unlike ordinary subsidiaries. These results provide meaningful implications for companies seeking to establish or operate overseas subsidiaries. 본 연구는 많은 기업들이 해외진출을 하고 있고 동시에 해외자회사를 설립하는 상황에서 해외자회사의 경쟁력을 제고하고 해외진출에서 파생되는 어려움을 극복하는데 주안점을 두고 이를 극복할 수 있는 전략을 제시할 목적으로 연구되었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 글로벌 시장에서 비교적 성공적인 기업활동을 전개하고 있는 기업 중 국내시장에서 활동하고 있는 휠라코리아와 데상트코리아의 사례를 분석 하였는데 그 결과와 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성공한 해외 자회사는 강력한 CEO의 리더십과 경영관리 능력을 보유하고 있었다. 둘째, 강력한 해외자회사는 철저한 현지화를 추구하고 있었다. 마지막으로 강력한 해외자회사인 두 기업의 독특한 특징은 보통의 해외 자회사와는 달리 단순히 현지시장에서의 경쟁력을 확보한 수준을 넘어 본사와는 차별화된 핵심역량을 보유하고 있다는 점이다. 위와 같은 결과는 해외자회사를 설립하고자 하거나 이미 운영하고 있는 기업들에게 의미있는 시사점을 제공하고 있다.

        의료서비스산업의 해외진출 지원 및 전략에 관한 연구 * - 일본의 사례를 중심으로 -

        본 연구에서는 일본 의료서비스 산업의 국제화 현황과 그에 대한 일본정부의 지원책 및 과제 등에 대한 고찰을 하여 해외진출을 추구하고자 하는 한국의 의료기업들에게 의미있는 시사점을 제공하고자 연구되었는데 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 의료산업의 원활한 해외진출을 위해서는 ‘국제화 경험이 있는 업체와 경험 없는 업체와의 연계’ 시스템이 필요 하다. 둘째, 의료사업의 해외진출을 고려할 경우 해당 사업자는 정부의 움직임에 민감하게 대응하며 전략수립과 실행방 안을 계획해야 할 것이며, 또한 향후 진출하고자 하는 상대국 정부와 관련한 한국 정부의 전폭적인 지원과 의료사업자의 요구를 파악하는 것이 필요하다. 셋째, 의료의 해외진출에 있어서 자금부족을 극복하고 리스크를 감소시키기 위해서 다국적 컨소시엄을 형성하여 사업을 추진하는 것도 하나의 전략 옵션으로 생각할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 해외에 진출하고자 하는 업체가 본래 가지고 있는 자본, 기술 등의 경영자원과 인재, 노하우 등을 어디까지 해외로 이전할 것인지 여부도 장기적인 관점에서 고려할 필요가 있다. 마지막으로, 한국의 경우 미국, 독일, 일본 등의 다른 국가와는 다른 한국만의 구체적이고 차별화된 경쟁전략을 구축할 필요가 있다. The purpose of this study is provide useful information to Korea medical institutions which want to overseas expansion. The results of study as follows; First, it need strong lingking system between medical institution which has a global experiences and medical institutions which does not has a global experiences. Second, medical institutions which want to overseas expansion always search for government policy, and must responds to it. Besides, medical institutions must find needs of partner countries and support of Korean government. Third, medical institutions consider joint venture to overcome shortage of funds and to decrease risk. Fourth, medical institutions has to take into consideration that extent of transfer about technology, fund, know-how and human resources from a long-term point of view. Finally, Korean medical institution must build differentiated competitive edge in the global market compare to USA, Germany and Japan.

        중소기업 해외진출지원에 관한 연구 일본과 독일의 지원정책사례를 중심으로

        Purpose - This research analyzes overseas expansion support systems for small- and medium-sized enterprises in Germany and Japan. Germany and Japan have developed overseas expansion support policies for such enterprises. The study then explores the implications for Korea and its local governments. Research design, data, and methodology - We did a comparative analysis of Japan and Germany and their support for overseas expansion of small and medium companies. Data were mainly collected from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (Japan) and the Germany Trade and Invest (Germany) agency through statistics and literature surveys, and analysis studies. Results - First, human resources cultivation and funding support policies, which both Germany and Japan use as part of small- and medium-sized enterprise policies, should be modified to Korean circumstances and to reflect its own small- and medium- sized enterprise support needs. Second, both the German policies that support overseas expansion of small- and medium- sized enterprises and those of Japan's include the philosophy and methods that put an emphasis on these enterprises, despite the fact that there are big differences in the overseas policies in these two countries. Third, German and Japanese governments are embracing the idea that small- and medium- sized enterprises are key to their national economies and implementing policies based on the ratio occupied by these en-terprises in the domestic consumption or GDP. In other words, Germany and Japan consider small- and medium-sized enterprises as central to their nation's industry, and assess them as economic industry that should definitely exist for the continued survival of big businesses, and not just as merely supplemental to big business. Fourth, whereas Germany emphasizes support to product exhibition in its overseas expansion support policies, Japan is providing integrated support containing foreign direct investment to small- and medium-sized enterprises. Fifth, there are differences in the overseas expansion support in Germany and Japan in terms of their support to big business. Whereas Germany considers support to big business unnecessary, Japan is implementing active support policies to areas corresponding to big business. Korea will have to benchmark the policies of Germany and Japan, and decide whether or not to give full support to small- and medium-sized enterprises, while excluding areas supporting big business. Conclusions - Based on this analysis of German and Japanese overseas expansion support policies, we need to choose the policies that will engender a solid outcome and derive modified policies for the circumstances of Korea. Additionally, we can use the comparison of the overseas support policies of Japan and Germany to choose small- and medium- sized enterprise overseas expansion support policies for Korea. However, we cannot provide specific overseas support policies by industry. This point will be referenced as a limitation of this study. In future research, we expect that some researchers will take an empirical approach to exploring Korean overseas expansion support through collecting cases of overseas support policies and interviewing policy authorities.

        제조업의 국제화가 국내고용에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 일본제조업 사례를 중심으로

        Purpose - This study aims to seek various plans to maintain the advancement of the overseas and domestic employment scenario through a case analysis of the Japanese industry, which maintains domestic employment while promoting the overseas advancement of companies despite having a similar industrial structure as Korea. The study further intends to derive insightful implications for Japanese manufacturing companies and government policies. Research design, data, and methodology - We selected four companies from the Japanese manufacturing industry. Being companies that were successful in increasing the domestic employment scenario while advancing in overseas markets. We utilized several secondary data sources including Japanese newspapers and report literature. Results - Previous studies have shown a negative relationship between Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) or offshoring and domestic employment. However, our results showed this relationship with respect to the Japanese manufacturing industry as follows: 1. FDI for developing overseas markets does not decrease domestic production. If Japanese companies change their strategy from exports to overseas production, there will be a consequent decrease in domestic employment of Multinational Enterprises (MNEs). However, the local production that plans the sales expansion of a foreign market does not substitute domestic production. 2. Several case studies illustrate that, as the production of final goods is expanded in foreign countries, there is a corresponding increase in the export of intermediary goods from Japan. In this case, if the production process of Japanese companies is promoted in foreign markets, the amount of exported material and parts from Japan will consequently increase. 3. It is difficult to consider that the establishment of subsidiary companies in foreign countries by manufacturing companies for wholesale, retail, and services decreases domestic employment. This is because the international development of these industries needs expatriates, expatriate training organizations, and research and development (R&D) activities. 4. When there is overseas demand, the growth of local management activities is expected to increase the work of the overseas business department in the head office in Japan, if competitiveness can be secured for better localization and management speed. 5. The conversion of the domestic manufacturing industry into high value- added production is necessary. The relocation of domestic production to foreign markets decreases domestic employment. To prevent this, the upgradation of domestic production bases, including high value-added production, and R&D capability need to be strengthened. Technology-based companies must develop new technology, patents, processes, and so forth, which require extensive human resources for R&D. Conclusions - Domestic medium-sized companies that are capable of consistently supplying high value-added products should be actively encouraged to deploy into and develop overseas markets. Further, this paper considers the necessity of a guidance policy that provides suggestions for overseas deployment, by the initiation of the government, to companies that cannot do so due to the lack of foreign experience or decisions by the CEO, despite having the relevant capability and technologies to supply high value-added products.
