거문도 해역 대롱수염새우(Solenocera melantho)의 성장과 성 성숙

This paper describes reproduction, population structure, growth and size at sexual maturity of a deep-water mud shrimp (Solenocera melantho) in the adjacent waters of Geomun Island, Korea. The shrimp was caught by a beam trawl from November 1998 to December 1999. Spawning period was estimated by gonadosomatic index to be from August to early November with a peak in October to early November. Female shrimps were 12% matured at 16mm in carapace length, 33% matured at 18mm and 75% matured at 22mm. The size at 50% maturity for female was estimated to be 20.65mm in carapace length. Breeding season was estimated to be from August to early November with a peak in October to early November. The size at 50% inseminated was 19.81mm CL. The fecundity was 87,500-405,200 and related exponentially to carapace length and total weight. This species survived between 25 and 26 months. The maximum carapace length of females and males were 48mm and 34mm respectively. Sex ratio was 51.3%, and the females were preponderant. Growth was estimated by modified von Bertalanffy growth function incorporating seasonal variation in growth in both years females (K=1.019/yr and L∞=51.731mm CL) grew faster, reaching a larger size at a given age than males (K=1.848/yr, and L∞=27.499mm CL). This is indicated by differences in growth performance indices (φ') between females (3.291) and males (3.145).

Acoustic technologies are commonly used to estimate biomass and distribution of fisheries resources in coastal areas and the open ocean. The pelagic species of Engraulis japonica, Scomber japonicus and Sardinops melanosticta spawn migrate to the southern part of the Sea of Korea and capture of these three species comprise 50% of the total abundance in Korean waters. Since 1970, anchovy landings have increased to 0.2 million tons in 1990, 0.27million tons in 2001, and 0.25million tons in 2003. Acoustic surveys were conducted on 24-26, May and 20-21, June 2005 around the Tongyeong, Geojae, and Namhae anchovy fishing ground using a dual beam echosounder (DT-5000, 200kHz Biosonics). Using this approach, information was obtained on the distribution (depth and position) of zooplankton, and adult and juvenile anchovy. We calculated and compared anchovy biomass using simple summation and geostatistic methods to assess the advantages and constraints of the two techniques.
한국 거문도 인근해역의 만새우, Parapenaeopsis tenella의 개체군 동태

우리나라의 서해와 남해 연안에 분포하는 민새우는 서해 북쪽으로는 영광에서 남쪽으로 거제도까지 널리 분포한다. 거문도 인근해역에서 채집된 민새우의 암 · 수 성비는 암컷이 48.6% 로 나타났고, 이 개체군은 7월과 8월에 성숙하고, 년 1 회 신생 가입군이 발생되었다. 교미한 개체는 7월과 8월에 출현하기 시작하였고, 갑각정 13mm 이상의 전 출현 암컷의 50% 이상이 교미한 것으로 나타났고, 성숙도지수는 7-8월에 최고치를 나타내었다. 암컷의 최소 성숙개체는 갑각장 11mm이고, 성 성숙과 교미율에 의한 군성숙도 (CL50) 는 각각 갑각장 12.53mm와 12.28mm로 나타났다. 체장 빈도 자료에 의해 추정된 민새우의 수명은 암컷이 14-15개월로 나타났다. 변형된 von Bertalanffy 성장식에 의해 추정된 성장계수(K)는 암 · 수 각각 1.22/년과 2.00/년이고, 최대 갑각장 (L∞)은 암 · 수 각각 21.99mm와 15.00mm이였으며, 암컷이 수컷보다 성장이 빠르고, 큰 것으로 나타났다. Parapenaeopsis tenella occurs widely on the south and west coasts of Korea. Sex ratio showed seasonal variations, with a mean value of 48.6% for the females. The species produces one cohort a year, with the ovaries ripening from July to August. Insemination took place from July to August, as more than half of the females sampled in the study over 14 mm CL were inseminated. Gonadosomatic index (GSI) reached the maximum between July and August. The smallest mature female was 11 mm CL. Size at 50% sexual maturity (CL50), determined from both mature females and inseminated females, was 12.53 mm and 12.28 mm CL, respectively. The life span of females appeared to be 14-15 months according to size frequency distributions, while that of the male was 13-14 months. Population growth was estimated by the modified von Bertalanffy growth function incorporating seasonal variation in growth. Based on the growth parameters (K = 1.22 yr-1 and L∞ = 21.99 mm CL for females, and K = 2.00 yr-1 and L∞ = 15.00 mm CL for males) growth curves showed that females grew faster and reached a larger size at age than males.
한강 하구 해역에서 개량안강망 및 해선망으로 어획된 수산생물의 계절별 종 조성

Marine organisms were collected by the stow nets and the stow net on boat fisheries from April 2010 to November 2011 in the Han River Estuary and categorized as 126 species, 61 families, and 5 taxa. The species were consisted with 34 in Crustacea, 5 in Cephalopoda, 79 in Pisces, unidentified jellyfishes in Cnidaria, and Finless porpoise in Mammals. The major species were composed of fish and crustaceans in the Han River Estuary. The dominant species in Crustacea were Chinese ditch prawn (Palaemon gravieri), blue crab (Portunus trituberculatus), Ridgetail prawn (Exopalaemon carinicauda), and mantis crab (Oratosquilla oratoria), and those in Pisces were Korean anchovy (Coilia nasus), and Japanese grenadier anchovy (Coilia mystus). The length structures of the six dominant species have more than one mode in the Han River Estuary. It reflects that the species inhibit during a part of and/or whole lifetime in the Han River Estuary where they utilize as spawning and/or nursery grounds. Freshwater fishes were collected from station D where is the closest location to the Han River stream, and their appearances were well matched with the large amount of freshwater discharge due to flood periods. Principal components analysis (PCA) was carried out with species compositions and showed temporal and spatial differences by the variations of species.
영양성분을 고려한 고등어, Scomber japonicus 자원 이용과 관리 방안

This study analyzed annual catch trend during 45 years and monthly catch of the least 10 years (2005∼2014) for chub mackerel caught in the Korean coastal waters. To determine fishing status of chub mackerel, fork length measurements were conducted at least twice every week for 100 individuals randomly selected at the Busan Cooperative Fish Market from January of 2012 to December of 2014; and biological characteristics and proximate composition (moisture, protein, fat, ash) were analyzed by length class (I∼IV) on a monthly basis from January to December of 2014. Monthly catch trend showed low level below 5,000 mt from February to July, whereas high level above 15,000 mt from October to December. For the period between 2012 and 2014, annual average catch proportion of juvenile were relatively high at 68.1%, 53.1% and 53.2% from January to April, before spawning season, while those were low at 21.5%, 20.7% and 29.12% from June to November. As for the change in the proximate composition per 100 g of muscle, protein and ash did not change much by seasons and length class, whereas fat and moisture contents showed large fluctuations and complementary relationship between the two factors. Regardless of length class, monthly average fat content, containing Omega-3, showed the lowest at 7.18 g in April and highest at 19.27 g in December, which exhibited 2.6 times difference from one another. Regardless of fishing seasons, fat content by length class were 19.06 g for the class I and 6.43 g for the class IV, which showed three times difference. Fat contents of the class I were high at 26.97 g and 27.19 g in November and December, while low at 8.37 g and 9.99 g in April and May. Especially, fat contents from January to May were 5.0 g, which was the lowest. Therefore, it is expected that consumer could indirectly contribute fisheries management through their understanding and wise consumption based on fishing status and fluctuation of proximate composition.
