This study examines the shape of time and its meaning found in the war gasa of <Namjeongga>, based on the phenomenology of time consciousness raised by Edmund Husserl. The difference between the literary and physical time of "Namjeongga" is that the author Yang Sa-jun experienced a very intense experience of the battlefield of Yeongamseong Fortress during the Eulmyo Japanese Invasion, which led to a difference in memory density. The density of memory is embodied in an epic form within the work through the compression and extension of the narrative. The memories reproduced in <Namjeongga> can be divided into peace and war. In the work, the memories of peace and war are arranged in a mixed way. Through this, the writer reveals the sense of theme that one should never settle down in the current victory but strive for the continuation of peace. The meaning of time in <Namjeongga> lies in the point that memories about the war are reproduced literarily and memories about the war and peace contrast to create the sense of the theme. Yang Sa-jun highlighted the sense of the theme by talking about the memories of the war by contrasting the memories of the two topics, war and peace, intensely. Moreover, it can be said to be valuable because he did not just converge personally but spread it to the community by sharing the memories of the war through the work. 본고는 에드문트 후설이 제기한 내적 시간의식의 현상학을 바탕으로 전란가사 <남정가>에 나타난 시간 형상과 그 의미에 대해 살핀 논문이다. <남정가>가 가지는 문학적 시간과 물리적 시간과의 차이는 작자 양사준이 그가 참전했던 을묘왜변 중 일어난 영암성 전투의 전장에 대해 매우 강렬한 경험을 겪었으며, 이로 인해 기억의 밀도에 차이가 생겼기 때문이다. 기억의 밀도는 서술의 압축과 확장을 통해 작품 내에서 서사적 형태로 구현되었다. <남정가>에 재현된 기억은 평화와 전란으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 작품에는 평화의 기억과 전란의 기억이 교차로 배치되어 있다. 이를 통해 작자는 현재의 승리에 안주하기보다는 평화의 지속에 힘써야 한다는 주제의식을 드러낸다. <남정가>의 시간이 지니는 의미는 전란에 대한 기억을 문학적으로 재현해냈다는 것과 전란과 평화에 대한 기억이 서로 대비되며 주제의식을 만들어낸다는 데에 있다. 양사준은 전란에 대한 기억을 전란과 평화라는 두 가지 주제를 통해 강렬히 대비시켜 주제의식을 강조하였다. 또한 이를 개인 안에서 수렴하지 않고 작품을 통해 전란에 대한 기억을 공유하면서 공동체로 확산시켰다는 데에 가치를 지닌다고 할 수 있다.
