융합적인 영어번역 캡스톤 디자인에서 미팅의 중요성

이 논문은 캡스톤 디자인을 활용한 융합적인 영어번역학습에서 미팅의 중요성을 간과하고 있는 영어교육의 문제점을 바로잡음으로써 캡스톤 디자인의 의의를 살리고자 전략적으로 연구되었다. 이를 위해 초기 미팅은 기본적인 지식과 정보를 설명하는 시간을 제외한 나머지 시간은 학생주도형 미팅이 이루어지도록 했고, 과정 중에는 학생들 간에 의견발표, 사안토론, 피드백 등이 이루어지도록 학생주도형 미팅을, 말기에도 학생주도형 미팅을 통해 결과물에 대한 팀원 간에 조정과 확인 등의 시간이 되도록 했다. 영어교육의 효율성을 높이는 데에 학생주도형 미팅이 중요하다는 것을 입증하기 위해 질적 연구를 시행했으며, 인터뷰에서 학생들은 학생주도형 미팅을 통해 영어 학습에 대한 동기부여, 자신감 더 나아가 자기 효능감을 갖게 되었다는 견해를 밝혔다. 따라서 향후 캡스톤 디자인을 활용하는 교수법에서는 학생주도형 미팅을 중시해야 할 것이며, 영어교육 현장에서 캡스톤 디자인이 지속적으로 활용 및 연구되기를 기대한다. This study is strategically researched to regain the signification of capstone design by correcting the errors neglected the importances of meetings in the convergent English translation capstone design. For this, intial-meetings were designed to be students-centered except for explaining some basic knowledge and information. Mid-meetings were completely students-centered for the students to present their ideas, debate the contents and give feedbacks to one another. Final-meetings were also students-centered for the students to adjust and confirm the results. To validate the importance of students-centered meetings, the qualitative study has been done through interviewing students. In the interviews, almost all of them said they had motivation, confidence, and self-efficacy. Finally attempting capstone design in the future, students-centered meetings should be considered important. Hopefully this kind of capstone design will be used and studied continuedly and lively as a useful method in the field of English education.

작품 분석에서 융의 ‘개성화’ 이론의 재고

This paper is to examine a misunderstanding of C. G. Jung’s individuation theory in Saul Bellow’s Dangling Man and Grimms’ fairy tale. Jung’s individuation is not a ‘process’ of our unconsciousness, but ‘elements’ of it, and he analyzed Saul Bellow’s Dangling Man by Jung’s individuation ‘theory’. In fact, Jung’s individuation theory is elements related to unconsciousness, which consists of persona, shadow, anima/animus. As Bellow is a novelist of intellect he becomes aware of the real meaning to pursue social change and development in America in 1940s. He claims in Dangling Man that an individual has to participate in the community and also take social, moral duty and responsibility as a social member. When we know these, through Dangling Man he announces us of awakening people’s conformity which each individual might conform to American society in second World War in 1940s. Consequently individuation process in Lee’s, in fact, is not process, but elements of unconsciousness by Jung’s, although he analyzed Bellow’s work by Jung’s individuation.

In order to improve students’ chances of acquiring targeted jobs that require English, universities should develop a special English program, such as, an “after school program,” either during the academic school year or during vacation. This program will allow students to find better jobs if they participate earnestly. The students can learn and practice practical English such as vocabulary, grammar, writing, and sentence structure related to tests, including, TOEIC. In respect to the students’ level of English, this program will focus on solving questions and explaining the different areas to prepare them for TOEIC. The ultimate goal is for them to become more interested in studying English, which would impact their status for job recruitment, and furthermore are expected to secure great jobs in the future. Hopefully, all universities can adopt this program and be very successful even with having yet uninspired students.

Developing Creativity through English Reading Acquisition : Focusing on Korean EFL College Students

본 연구는 영어읽기수업에서 창의적 사고 전략 교수법을 통해 EFL 학습자들의 창의성 수준과 읽기 능력에 미치는 영향을 조사하는데 목적이 있다. 이 실험에는 영어능력 수준이 낮은 67명의 대학생이 창의성 그룹과 비창의성 그룹으로 나뉘어 참여했고, 질적․양적 연구방법으로 연구되었다. 학습자들의 창의성 수준을 측정하기 위해 Girt Scale 설문도구를 사용하였으며, 독해 능력을 사전, 사후, 그리고 후속 테스트로 조사하였다. 또한 심층 인터뷰를 추가적으로 실시하였다. 본 연구의 실험결과, 창의성 그룹의 학습자들은 후속평가에서 창의성 수준의 유의미한 향상을 보였으며, 단기적·장기적 평가에서도 영어읽기능력의 유의미한 향상을 나타냈다. 이와 같은 실험결과를 바탕으로 영어 학습에서 창의적 학습전략의 필요성을 제시하였다.

Corona-19 in The Journal of Plague YearWritten by Daniel DefoeSeongrok Oh & Sangwook Shim Abstract: This paper is aimed at finding out the factors of Corona-19 in A Journal of Plague Year written by Daniel Defoe in 1722. He was a realist, and his career as a journalist is important for he had learned of reporting techniques. He began the career of novelist in his late fifties and established as the first novelist with his works in English. He replaced the noble sentiments of literature with the common lives of the middle class, and wrote a genuine book of memoirs on a great historical disaster of the Great Plague in 1665. A Journal of the Plague Year is a fictional reconstruction based on true accounts. This work is unique in that accepting it as fiction, every generation has also taken it as history, however, its deeper truth belongs to the creative imagination. As corona 19 still goes on now, we can find out almost the same factors of corona 19 in A Journal of the Plague Year written 350 years ago. Through this study, we realize yet again that we should try not to repeat negative histories. 결정성장형 자기치유 고상캡슐을 혼합한 보수 모르타르의 품질 및 균열 치유 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

본 연구에서는 보수 모르타르와 직접 혼합 가능한 결정성장형 자기치유 고상캡슐을 제조하였으며, 자기치유 고상캡슐이 혼합된 보수 모르타르의 품질 및 균열 치유 성능 특성을 평가하였다. 자기치유 고상캡슐을 혼합한 보수 모르타르의 테이블 플로우 및 공기량 평가 결과 혼합율에 관계없이 테이블 플로우 및 공기량은 큰 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 압축강도는 캡슐 혼합율이 증가할수록 강도가 감소하는 경향이 나타났다. 정수위 투수시험에 따른 균열 치유 특성 평가 결과 초기 투수량이 감소하는 결과가 나타났으며, 시간 경과에 따라 반응 생성물 발생하여 균열이 치유되는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. In this study, self - healing solid capsules of crystal growth type which can be mixed directly with repair mortar were prepared, and the quality and crack healing performance of repair mortar with self - healing solid capsules were evaluated. The table flow and the air flow rate of the repair mortar material mixed with self-healing solid capsules were found to have no significant influence on table flow and air volume regardless of mixing ratio. Compressive strength tended to decrease with increasing capsule mixing ratio. As a result of evaluation of crack healing properties according to constant water head permeability test, initial water permeability decreased, and reaction products were generated over time and cracks were healed.
