        오선화(Son-wha Oh) 어문연구학회 2007 어문연구 Vol.55 No.-

Tish paper argues interrelation between language internal structure of words and the position of negative elements. Yeonbeon dialect"s negative elements have ‘아니’ and ‘못’, we will focus on the special position in the sentence. The central dialect is general that short negative sentence appears in front of the predicate. But Yeonbeon dialect appears inner compound word or shows up between main verb and auxiliary verb. This paper with existent discussion tried to find out between language internal structure and the position of negative elements in Yeonbeon dialect through taking the survey. We divided predicates into words and phrases then describe the interrelation between them and negative elements. According to construction, words can be divided as simplex words, derivative words and compound words, and phrases are limited to combination of main verbs and auxiliary verbs for convenience. Simplex words are original simplex and which are changed from complex word, derived into prefix and suffix. Compound words are subdivided into syntactic compound words and non-syntactic compound words. The combination of main verb and auxiliary verb is subdivided into ‘main verb +auxiliary verb’ construction and ‘main adjective and auxiliary adjective’ construction in this study. In conclusion, negative elements “아니” and “못"" in short negative sentence, appear among syntactic compound words, and among the predicate of ‘main verb+auxiliary verb’ construction which is known as phrase. 1) Negative elements can be used among the original simplex word. The simplex words which are changed from syntactic compound words, they are in front of the predicates which is a simplex word. 2) When the predicate is a derived word, negative elements can be interposed among the derived verbs with “root+suffix(하-)” construction and the derived adjectives which are the syntactic compound words(or phrases). 3) It is simple that negative elements are used among them when predicates are syntactic compound words. 4) When the construction of predicate is ‘main verb + auxiliary verb’, the negative elements can be located among.
