A modified electrical resistivity survey has been suggested and applied to a leakage detection problem of concrete barrage. We suggest the modified electrical resistivity methods using electrodes floating on the water and apply line current sources instead of conventional point current sources in order to facilitate simple analysis. In addition, the study introduced the following three variations of modified electrode array: Direct potential array, Parallel potential array and Cross potential array. These arrays were tested and investigated through numerical experiment, physical model experiment and geophysical field exploration in order to verify their applicability to the water leakage detection of a concrete barrage. When water leakage occurred, all kind of array operations demonstrated distinct changes of aspects of potential difference in graphs obtained by not only the numerical and physical model experiments but also geophysical field exploration. Therefore, this modified electrode arrays of electrical resistivity survey, which has been adapted to the concrete barrage, has been found to be a useful method to detect water leakage.
연약지반 평가를 위한 MASW탐사와 CPTu 자료의 지구통계학적 복합 분석

In order to delineate the soft ground distribution, an integrated geostatistical analysis was performed using the MASW (Multichannel Analysis of Surface Wave) which has the information of overall region and CPTu (Piezo Cone Penetration Test) which provides the direct information of the measuring point of the ground. MASW results were known to have close relationship with the ground stiffness. This correlation was confirmed through the comparison of MASW data obtained from two survey lines to the laboratory test with extracted soil samples. 3D physical property distribution in the study area was acquired by geostatistical integrated analysis with the data of tip resistance (q<sub>c</sub>) and pore pressure (u) from the CPTu obtained at 6 points within the study area. The integrated analysis was conducted by applying the COSGSIM (Sequential Gaussian Co-Simulation) technology which can carry out the simulation in accordance with the spatial correlation between the MASW results and both tip resistance and pore pressure. Besides the locations of CPTu, borehole investigations were also conducted at two different positions. As a result, the N value of SPT and borehole log could be secured, so these data were used for the analysis of the geotechnical engineering accuracy of the integrated analysis result. For the verification of reliability of the 3D distribution of tip resistance and pore pressure secured through integrated analysis, the geotechnical information gained from the two drilling areas was compared, and the result showed extremely high correlation.

최근 울릉도 하부에서 저속도층 이상체의 존재 가능성이 제기되면서 울릉도 화산체에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 심부 지질구조의 정보를 얻기 위해 지구물리학적 방법 중 하나인 MT탐사를 이용할 수 있다. MT탐사는 물리탐사기법 중 가장 깊은 가탐심도를 가지고 있어, 국외 지진·화산 연구에서 널리 이용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 화산섬 울릉도의 심부 지질구조 분석을 위해 MT탐사를 수행하였다. 나리 분지와 성인봉을 중심으로 울릉도 전역에 측점을 설정하고 2019년과 2020년, 2회에 걸쳐 탐사가 이루어졌다. 관측장비는 AMT 대역과 MT 대역 자료를 동시에 얻을 수 있는 캐나다 Phoenix사의 MTU-5C를 사용하였다. 울릉도 심부구조를 가정한 2차원 포워드모델링을 수행하여 MT 반응을 확인하고, 이 결과를 바탕으로 자료 편집 및 2차원 역산을 수행하였다. 본 연구를 통해 기존 지진파 연구에서 알려진 심부구조와 유사한 전기비저항 분포를 확인하였다. 향후, 추가 자료 취득 및 3차원 역산을 수행하여 보다 정밀한 영상을 얻을 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

To support cross potential array and direct potential array, the array for leakage detection of all kinds of water facilities is proposed and it is named as the D-Lux array. The D-Lux array data are arranged to a coloured matrix and it is called the D-Lux view. Low potential difference of anomalous zone shown in D-Lux view implies the indication of leakage zone. Furthermore, for an intuitive interpretation of D-Lux array, equipotential distribution map is made by using D-Lux and direct potential array data. Equipotential distribution map makes us possible to predict import point, export point and the path of water leakage that we could have not anticipated in D-Lux view and the graphs. The water tank experiment and numerical analysis were carried out as preparatory experiment and the field explorations were conducted at a concrete weir and a fill dam. As a result, effective and specific detection of leakage path was possible for the concrete weir and the fill dam.

In this study, the development and production of electric vehicles and hydrogen vehicles are presented as a method for realizing carbon-neutral. Accordingly, the demand and need for development of underground metal mineral resources such as copper and nickel has increased. The research was carried out using MT survey, which is very useful for deep exploration such as mineral resources and oil exploration because of it’s low cost and explorable depth. In Korea, there are very few cases of MT exploration in terms of mineral development, so the study was conducted based on the MT exploration conducted previously in AusLAMP, Australia. Through comparative analysis of the MT exploration data conducted to identify the ore body in the deep area of the Olympic Dam in Australia, with the data directly calculated in 2D inversion, it was confirmed that it can have a positive effect on the possibility of resource development and carbon neutrality using MT exploration in Korea.
