All efforts are underway to reduce energy consumption globally. Despite these effort, the educational field are showing the tendency of increasing their energy consumption every each year. For that reason, this thesis is going to scrutinize an economic feasibility of university heating systems through the LCC. For the economic analysis of education facilities, we has chosen several representative conditions. First, we has chosen D-university in Busan as a model building. Second, for the practical comparison, three types of heat source system has be selected which was the Absorption Chiller System, the Electric Engine Driven Heat Pump and the Gas Engine Driven Heat Pump. LCC analysis was performed in terms of initial investment, operating and maintenance costs. The initial investment cost was favorable to EHP. Gas Engine Driven Heat Pump was advantageous in terms of operating costs. Maintenance costs were advantageous for Electric Engine Driven Heat Pump. In the overall LCC results, Electric Engine Driven Heat Pump is economically viable in educational facilities.
