This paper proposes a repeat-back jamming signal detection scheme that utilizes a combined pseudo random noise signal that is effective for processing a global positioning system (GPS) repeat-back jamming signal with the early minus late phase scheme to alleviate any existing multipath signal detection. The proposed scheme uses the combined pseudo random noise signal to treat repeat-back jamming signals like similar multipath signals and can effectively detect a repeat-back jamming signal by applying the early minus late phase scheme to a combined pseudo random noise signal. Through a Monte-Carlo simulation, the detection probability of the proposed scheme is better than the one of the conventional scheme under low jamming to signal power ratio.

Interference and jamming are becoming increasing concern to a radar system nowdays. AESA(Active Electronically Steered Array) antennas and adaptive beamforming(ABF), in which antenna beam patterns can be modified to reject the interference, offer a potential solution to overcome the problems encountered. In this paper, we've developed a planar active phased array radar system, in which ABF, target detection and tracking algorithm operate in real-time. For the high output power and the low noise figure of the antenna, we've designed the S-band TRMs based on GaN HEMT. For real-time processing, we've used wavelenth division multiplexing technique on fiber optic communication which enables rapid data communication between the antenna and the signal processor. Also, we've implemented the HW and SW architecture of Real-time Signal Processor(RSP) for adaptive beamforming that uses SMI(Sample Matrix Inversion) technique based on MVDR(Minimum Variance Distortionless Response). The performance of this radar system has been verified by near-field and far-field tests.

A repeat-back jamming signal is an intentionally re-broadcasted GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) interference. In this paper, a novel repeat-back jamming detection scheme is proposed. The proposed scheme uses a combined pseudo random noise signal (C-PRN) and is available for a generic GNSS receiver with a single antenna. The C-PRN signal is made by combining several received pseudo random noise signals that had been transmitted from the visible GNSS satellites. Through a Monte-Carlo simulation, the detection probability of a repeat-back jamming signal detected with the proposed scheme is presented.

In this paper, we derive the CRLB (Cramer-Rao Lower Bound) of effective carrier-to-noise power ratio (C/N?) estimation for a GPS (Global Positioning System) L1 C/A (Coarse/Acquisition) signal under band-limited white noise jamming environments. The quality of a received GPS signal is commonly described in terms of its C/N?, implying that the noise is white and thus can be described by scalar noise density. However, if some intentional interference is received to a victim GPS receiver, then the C/N? is no longer the efficacious performance indicator. The correct and straightforward measurement to analyze the receiving situation is the effective C/N?. In this paper, we consider a band-limited white noise jamming whose bandwidth is 2MHz and is the same as one of the first null-to-null bandwidth of the GPS L1 C/A signal.

This paper proposes a novel code-tracking scheme to track the fine code synchronization for BOC (pn,n)-modulated global navigation satellite system signals in a repeat-back jamming environment. The correlation function of BOC (pn,n)-modulated signals has several peaks. The correlation function in the advanced offset region remains almost unchanged due to the repeat-back signals being received later than a line-of-sight signal in the same multipath signal receiving case. Additionally, the combined pseudo-random noise signal can be treated as repeat-back jamming signals, like multipath signals. In this paper, we propose a novel code-tracking scheme utilizing the advantages of using a combined pseudo-random noise signal in the advanced offset region and verify its performance through simulation.

In this paper, we present signal processing procedure and carry out performance analysis of FMCW(Frequency Modulation Continuous Wave) radar for Autonomous Unmanned Vehicle(AUV). In order to detect range profile and velocity of the unknown target, we must implement two step FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) procedure. And the DBF(Digital Beam Forming) algorithm has to be performed to obtain the angle information of the unknown target. To verify the performance of manufactured autonomous unmanned ground vehicle FMCW radar, we use the data of the real corner reflecter target.

This paper proposes a repeat-back jamming signal detection scheme using a correlation ratio test metric of a combined pseudo-random noise signal for global navigation satellite systems. The correlation ratio test metric allows for the monitoring of possible distortions in the signal correlation. The proposed scheme is a modified version of the correlation ratio test metric to detect a repeat-back jamming signal in a multipath environment. Through a Monte-Carlo simulation, it is confirmed that the proposed scheme detects almost the whole case, which is received a repeat-back jamming signal under the 6 dB jamming to signal power ratio.

In this paper, an effective repeat-back jamming (RBJ) mitigation scheme known assuccessive repeat-back jamming cancellation (SRC) is proposed for the utilization of the successive interference cancellation (SIC) algorithm which is used to mitigate the near-far effect and the multiple-access interference for code division multiple-access communication systems. The proposed scheme uses a combined pseudo-random noise (C-PRN) signal from the estimated major parameters of RBJ signals. To evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme, the root mean squared (RMS) code tracking errors are shown according to the standard deviation of the parameter estimation errors of an RBJ signal, and using the well-known major parameters estimation schemes with a C-PRN signal through Monte-Carlo simulation.

In this paper, a novel scheme with which to mitigate a repeat-back jamming effect is proposed for the GPS L1 coarse/acquisition signal. The proposed scheme estimates the code tracking bias caused by repeat-back jamming signals using a Combined Pseudo-random noise signal. It then mitigates the repeat-back jamming effect by subtracting the estimated code timing on a normal correlation channel from the estimated value. Through a Monte-Carlo simulation, the proposed scheme can diminish the running average of code tracking bias to less than 10% of the bias using the conventional scheme.

The carrier-to-noise power ratio is a key parameter for determining the reliability of PVT (Position, Velocity, and Time) solutions which are obtained by a GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver. It is also used for locking a tracking loop, deciding the re-acquisition process, and processing advanced navigation in the receiver subsystem. The representative carrier-to-noise power ratio estimation schemes are the narrowband-wideband power ratio method (NW), the MM (Moment Method), and Beaulieu’s method (BL). The NW scheme is the most classical one for commercial GNSS receivers. It is often used as an authoritative benchmark for assessing carrier-to-noise power estimation schemes. The MM scheme is the least biased solution among them, and the BL scheme is a simpler scheme than the MM scheme. This paper focuses on the less biased estimation with low complexity when the residual phase noise remains, then proposes a novel carrier-to-noise power ratio estimation scheme with low complexity for GNSS receivers. The asymptotic bias of the proposed scheme is derived and compared with others, and the simulation results demonstrate that the complexity of the proposed scheme is lowest among them, while the estimation performance of the proposed scheme is similar to those of the BL and MM schemes in normal and high gained reception environments.
