      • 아동이 지각한 어머니의 언어유형이 초등학생의 사회성 발달에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to explore that the relationship between mothers’ language pattern in home and the children’s social development, and to be sure mothers’ language pattern is very important for children’s social development, in order to actualized the purpose of this study, problems of this study were specified as follows: 1) In what shape do mothers’ language pattern and children’s sociality appear? 2) To what does mothers’ language pattern and children’s sociality relate? 3) To what does mothers’ language pattern and mothers’ academic career relate, and mothers’ job or nonjob? 4) To what does mothers’ language pattern according to mothers’ academic career and children’s sociality relate, and mothers’ job or nonjob? Subjects of this study were sampled(216) elementary school children with stratified random in Gawang-Ju metropolis. The instruments of this study were the mothers’ language pattern inventory which mixed the mothers’ language pattern made by Lee Hyen-Joo(1990) and Lee Young Wha(1998), and children’s sociality inventory made Han In-Ja(1998). Data were treated with using Descriptive, F-test and χ²-test of SPSS-PC⁺ Major findings of this study were as follows: 1) The order of mothers’ language pattern which mothers’ use freely language pattern is personal control, order control, status control language pattern and the order of children’s social development cretivity, responsibility, tooperationspirit, spirit of independence. 2) The order of effect on children’s spirit of independence, responsibility, sociality is the first mothers’ personal control, mothers’ order control and mothers’ status control language pattern. 3) There is no difference in mothers’ language patterns among mothers’ academic career and mothers’ having job or not. 4) The mothers’ having higher academic career encourage children for responsibility, planning, self-expression and the mothers’ having job encourage children for spirit of independence, cooperation, sociality, self-requlation and palnning. According to the results of this study, the conclusion of this study is that mothers’ language pattern, especially mothers’ personal language pattern is very important for childrens social development but this researcher assume that children’s social development is influenced with the other variances. So it would be better to study the childrens social development with the multiple dumension.

      • 분야-구체적 배경지식과 글의 결집성이 학습에 미치는 영향

        분야-구체적 배경지식이 읽기를 통한 학습에 미치는 영향력이 글의 결집성(text cohesion)에 의해 조정되는 양상을 검토하였다. "세포분열"에 관한 글의 결집성 높낮이를 조작한 후, 이 글에 대한 분야-구체적 배경지식이 풍부한 집단(생물학 전공)과 빈약한 집단(심리학 전공)의 학습량을 세 가지 문제(글-기반 문제, 추론 문제, 상황모형 문제)로 구성된 검사로 측정하였다. 배경지식이 빈약한 학생들의 배움은 결집성의 영향을 받지 않는데 비해, 배경지식이 풍부한 학생들은 결집성이 낮은 글에서 더 많은 것을 배우는 것으로 드러났다. 배경지식과 결집성 간 상호작용 효과는 글-기반 문제에서는 나타나지 않았고 추론 문제와 상황모형 문제에서만 두드러졌다. This study explored how domain-specific knowledge and text cohesion interactively contribute to learning from biology text. Two groups of college students read one of two biology texts-one of them was high in text-cohesion and the other was low in text-cohesion. One group of the students were rich in domain-specific biology knowledge and the other group was poor in domain- specific knowledge. Participants` learning was assessed with open-ended questions designed to measure different levels of understanding(i.e., text-base, inference generation, situation model). Results indicate that 1) students with poor in domain-specific knowledge were not affected by the levels of text- cohesion, while those with rich domain-specific knowledge learned more from the text with low cohesion; 2) overall learning was positively correlated with participants` domain-specific knowledge, and 3) the interaction effects observed between domain-specific knowledge and text-cohesion increased with the levels of comprehension. The results suggest that active involvement is prerequisite to reading for learning and that one way to induce readers` active involvement is to adjust the cohesion of the information presented in the text.
