우리는 이 논문에서 인간의 성격이 자신의 내재적 특성과 환경과의 다양한 상호작용 즉, 환경에 순응할 것인가 환경을 극복할 것인가를 통해 어떻게 조화를 이루면서 형성되는지 대한 연구를 제시한다. 인격과 성격은 타고나기도 하지만 후천적 영향을 받는다. 우리는 해당 주제의 중요성을 강조하고, 이 핵심 문제를 살펴본다. 흥미롭게 몰입하여 읽을 수 있는 찰스 디킨스의 소설 "올리버 트위스트"를 연구 대상으로 선택한 의의를 살펴본다. 주인공에 중점을 두어 인간 내재적 특성과 주변 환경과의 상호작용을 하면서 성장하는 과정을 강조한다. 흔히 받아들여지는 가정과는 달리, 디킨스의 시각은 선천적 특성을 강조한다. 주인공 올리버를 통해 주변환경보다는 선천적 특성의 중요성을 강조하여 성격 형성에 큰 영향을 줌을 암시하고 있다. 두 원인 요소의 결정적인 영향을 강조하면서, 내재적 특성에 더 큰 비중을 둔다. 우리는 그의 작품을 통해 그의 시각과 주장을 살피고 확인해 보기로 한다. 그의 시각으로 환경이 성격 형성에 미치는 영향을 탐구함으로써, 우리는 선천적 특성과 환경 간의 복잡한 상호작용을 이해하고자 한다. 현대 독자들에게 성격 특성이 어떻게 진화하고 환경적 요인에 의해 형성되는지에 대한 주장을 제공하고, 전반적인 이해를 하는 것이 목표이다. 우리는 핵심적인 장면과 등장인물들을 검토함으로써 디킨스의 주장을 지지하지 않기로 한다. 그러나 어느 것을 지지하는가 라는 질문에 대한 대답은 독자들의 몫으로 둔다. In this papery, we study the diverse dynamics of human personality formation, examining the harmonious interplay between innate traits and the surrounding environment. Our focus is on Charles Dickens' renowned work, "Oliver Twist," where Dickens underscores the critical role of both the environment and innate traits in shaping personalities. We explore Dickens' unique perspective, emphasizing the deep insights gained through his work. The paper outlines the research background, stressing the topic's importance and explaining the necessity of addressing this crucial issue. The significance of choosing "Oliver Twist" as the research subject is highlighted, underscoring its special relevance. The main content thoroughly investigates how innate traits and the environment profoundly influence individual personality formation. Contrary to common assumptions, Dickens' perspective unequivocally highlights the greater importance of innate traits. Our analysis supports this claim, examining key scenes and characters in "Oliver Twist." By exploring his distinctive viewpoint on the environment's impact on personality formation, we enhance understanding of theinteraction between innate traits and the environment. Focused on "Oliver Twist," our goal is to provide contemporary readers with profound insights into how personal characteristics evolve and are shaped by environmental factors, utilizing Dickens' masterpiece as a central reference point.

Who`s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?에 나타난 사회 비판

부조리 작가로 알려진 Edward Albee는 제 2차 세계대전 이후 미국 연극을 주도해 온 기수로 등장하였다. 그는 유럽에서 생성된 부조리 연극의 표현 양식을 빌어 사회 속에 자리 잡고 있는 인간들의 모습과 사회상을 신랄하게 비판함으로써 미국인이 겪는 고뇌와 방황을 작품을 통해 드러내고 있다. 특히 그는 작품에서 현대 물질문명의 부조리한 상황, 그 속에서 느끼는 공포와 단절, 그리고 여기서 파생되어지는 현실 도피적 행동 유형 등을 그려냄으로써 사회가 처한 위기 상황을 고발하고자 했으며, 유럽의 부조리극과는 다르게 단순하게 위기 상황을 인식하는 차원을 넘어 사회적 시각에서의 강한 비판을 통해 보다 긍정적인 방향으로 인간의 한계상황을 극복하고자 하였다. Albee는 Who`s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?라는 작품을 통해 당시 미국 사회에 만연되어 있는 물질 만능 주의, 문란해진 성도덕, 그리고 과학지상주의 등에서 생겨난 문제에 대하여 풍자와 야유적 언어로써 부조리한 상황을 적나라하게 고발하고 있다. 그러나 여기에서 끝맺지 않고 이를 극복하고 해결할 수 있는 방향을 작품 속에 나타내고 있다. Edward Albee, the authorized dramatic pioneer who introduced the European the Theatre of the Absurd to the United States. He has learned a lot of techniques from the European Absurd Dramatists like Ionesco or Beckett and has receive a decisive inspiration from their works. But Albee, differs from the European Absurdists in some significant ways. Albee, who regards the writer as a sort of demonic social critic, not only expresses absurdities of human conditions but also insists that they can be changed and improved through man`s endeavors because they have been originated from man himself. Albee manifests an optimistic vision. In Who`s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, he points out the problems of the modem people who live in the society of materialism, sexual morality, and scientism. Albee presents the figures of the better man and society as well as attacks the impossibility of real communication, human isolation, emasculation, cruelty and false illusion and insists that people can get over the absurd situations for themselves by their own endeavors. In conclusion, Albee shows the possibilities to improve the absurdities of human situations.

미국 TV 드라마를 통한 영어단어의 이해와 학습

Among the various English learning tools, interest for video media is being increased these days. Further than the English learning through pop songs or movies, Britain and American TV dramas draw teachers and students’ attention. Through Andrew Wright’s theory (2009), this paper is focusing on variety of language in the English vocabulary learning by American TV dramas. In other words, this is the learning method by systematic, repetitive practices of thematic and situational vocabulary, including variation of social classes, regions, and ethnic groups. Also, it is to provide English learners with suitable situations in which the proper meaning and connotation of vocabulary could be studied, understanding the facts objectively by using the mass media. This study has picked up 4 different American dramas of different catagories within their subject matters. By the sorts and classes of vocabularies exposed to the learners through those dramas, we would see how American TV dramas affects English vocabulary learning.

COVID-19 환경에서 대학 교양영어 수업의 디자인과 운용 연구

본 연구는 코로나바이러스 감염증으로 인한 국내 H대학의 비대면 수업에 대한 수업운용과 설계에 관한 사례 연구이다. 연구의 대상이 되는 수업은 말하기와 듣기를 중심으로 하는 단계별 학습을 하는 교양영어 교과목이다. COVID-19 초기에 대학의 개강이 연기 되었을 때는 영어 학습공백을 줄이고자 구글폼을 이용해 과제를 제시하였으며, 온라인 개강 이후에는 동영상을 활용한 수업을 진행하였다. 그 이후 지속되는 COVID-19 상황으로 인해 교수자와 학습자의 소통이 원활하게 일어나도록 하는 온라인 플랫폼을 활용한 실시간 쌍방향 수업을 실시하였다. COVID-19 이후에도 온라인 플랫폼을 활용한 학습환경은 사라지지 않을 것이다. 따라서 뉴노멀 시대의 효과적 교수학습법은 모든 환경을 활용한 블랜디드 러닝이 될 것이다. This is a case study on class design and operation for non-face-to-face classes at H university in Korea due to COVID-19 pandemic. The focus of this study are college English classes that provide step-by-step learning focused on speaking and listening. In the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the beginning of the semester was delayed, the learning tasks were presented using Google Forms to reduce the learning gap, and after the start of the semester online, classes were conducted using real-time video conferencing system. Since then, due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, real-time interactive classes using online platforms have been conducted to facilitate communication between instructors and learners. Even after COVID-19, this learning environment using online platforms will not disappear. Therefore, effective teaching and learning methods in the new normal era will have to include blended-learning across all environments.

자크 라캉 무의식이론의 관점에서 본 현대 에로티시즘 패션의 미적 정체성 연구 -주이상스와 응시론을 중심으로-

The purpose of this study is to determine the aesthetic identity of modern eroticism fashion in which the energy of desire is maximized through the ‘jouissance’ and ‘gaze’ of the unconscious theory of Jacques Lacan. The research method derived aesthetic identity after examining jouissance and gaze deeply related to eroticism in Lacan's theory of the unconscious by analyzing data of domestic and foreign monographs and prior research. Case analysis was limited to 2000 S/S to 2022 F/W. Based on prior research, it was analyzed mainly on clothing with eroticism characteristics of ‘exposure, close contact, see-through, the conversion of underclothes into outer garments’. Results of the study are as follows. First, eroticism, which can be linked to Lacan's type of ‘jouissance’ with multiple meanings as the generating point of eroticism, has manifested itself in voyeuristic eroticism, fatale eroticism, masochistic eroticism, surplus eroticism, and sacred eroticism. Second, as eyes of unconscious desire, visual expression characteristics of ‘gaze’ appeared as anamorphosis, trompe l'oeil, and depaysement. The identity of eroticism derived from Lacan's jouissance and the perspective of the desire gaze was divided into voyeuristic desire to gaze, fatal desire to gaze, masochistic desire to gaze, surplus desire to gaze, and sacred desire to gaze. Results of this study will expand theoretical horizons of eroticist fashion with a new interpretation of eroticism by combining Lacan's desire as a repressed and alienated subject within the human unconscious with the art that expands it.

교양과목에서 융 ⋅ 복합 교과목을 개발하고 , 이를 학습자 중심의 블랜디드러닝 방법을 수용해 학생 역량을 강화할 수 있는 수업으로 발전시켜 실제 수업에서 적용하는 일련의 과정과 수업의 노하우 (know-how) 를 서술함으로써 수업 개발에 도움을 주고자 이 연구를 진행하였다 . 이 연구는 필자가 설계한 다양한 학습활동의 과정과 이러한 학습활동이 학습자에게 미치는 영향을 기술하였다 . 융 ㆍ 복합 교과목으로 확정한 수업의 방향성과 블랜디드러닝을 도입한 발표수업의 과정에서 학습기대효과에 대한 내용을 담고 있으며 , 이는 실제 수업에서 적용된 사례이다 . 융 ㆍ 복합 교과목을 교양교육과정에서 진행하고 현시대에 맞는 트렌디한 주제로 학생들의 학습 흥미를 유발하도록 개발한 과목에 블랜디드러닝을 적용하여 학습시간을 학습자가 유연하고 자율적으로 쓸 수 있도록 하였다 . 이는 학습자의 수업에 대한 욕구와 프로젝트 수행 시간을 늘려주는 결과를 낳았다 . 이러한 학습자중심 수업 개발에 있어 가장 필요한 것은 행정적 ㆍ 제도적으로 개발자에게 권한을 최대한 부여하는 것이며 , 그 필요성을 제언하고자 한다 . This study was conducted to help develop classes by developing convergence subjects in liberal arts subjects and developing them into classes that can strengthen student competency by accepting learner-centered blended learning methods. This study describes the process of various learning activities designed by the author and the effects of these learning activities on learners. It contains the direction of the class that has been confirmed as a convergence subject and the expected learning effect in the course of the presentation class that introduces blended learning, which is a case applied in the actual class. Blended learning was applied to subjects developed to induce students’ learning interests with trendy topics suitable for the current era, which were conducted in the liberal arts curriculum, so that learners could use learning time flexibly and autonomously. This resulted in increasing learners’ desire for class and project execution time. The most necessary thing for the development of such learner-centered classes is to grant maximum authority to developers administratively and systematically, and the necessity is to be suggested.
