온라인신문이 전통신문에 미치는 영향에 관한 탐색적 고찰: 뉴스연성화와 속보성을 중심으로

인터넷 테크놀로지의 영향으로 뉴스소비 시장에서 변화가 일어나고 있으며, 온라인신문의 영향력이 점차 커지고 있다. 이 연구는 온라인과 전통신문의 비교고찰을 통해서 온라인 신문의 효과(영향)을 탐구하고자 하였다. 분석결과 몇가지 함의를 발견할 수 있었다. 첫째, 온라인 신문은 저널리즘의 측면에서 긍정과 부정이라는 양면적인 측면이 있다. 긍정적인 측면은 속보성이나, 부정적인 측면은 뉴스기사의 연성화와 기사의 부정확성을 들 수 있다. 둘째, 전통적인 종이 신문은 온라인신문과 동일한 뉴스 콘텐츠를 공유하고 있는데, 전통신문이 온라인 신문의 단점을 따르는 경향을 찾을 수 있었다. 특히 전통신문은 온라인신문의 영향력이 점차 증가하고 있는 상황에서 온라인신문의 연성화 현상을 따르는 경향을 보여주었다. 그레함의 법칙에 따르면, ‘악화가 양화를 구축한다’고 하는데, 신문산업과 뉴스 상황에서도 동일한 현상이 나타나고 있다. 이상과 같이 뉴스 콘텐츠에 대한 비판적인 접근은 온라인신문의 영향을 고찰하는데 유용한 접근이 될 수 있다. With the growing impact of the Internet on the news consumption, the news service of online newspapers is growing by leaps and bounds. In this paper, we tried to examine the effect of online newspapers through a comparative analysis of online and traditional newspapers. The study revealed some significant findings. First, online newspapers have both merits and demerits from the viewpoint of journalism; the latter include the high amount of the news softness and lack of accuracy of online newspapers. Second, traditional newspapers, which shared news sources with their online counterparts, tend to be influenced by the growing presence of online newspapers and to follow the demerits of online newspapers. In this regard, it is important to note the emerging trend of traditional newspapers imitating their online counterparts by including more news softness. Gresham`s law could well apply to the newspaper industry and its consumers. This critical approach helps us to understand the impact of online newspapers.

포털의 뉴스서비스 성격에 관한 고찰

한국과 영국 신문의 해외뉴스의 프레임 비교 연구

본 연구는 한국과 영국의 대표적인 뉴스 미디어인 조선일보와 더 타임즈의 인터넷판 신문인 조선닷컴과 온라인 타임즈가 동일한 해외뉴스를 어떻게 프레임하고 있는지, 그리고 뉴스 프레임의 특성은 무엇인지 탐색하였다. 온라인 타임즈는 조선닷컴과 비교하여 초기화면에서 해외뉴스와 같은 경성뉴스를 주로 취급하면서 언론사의 입장이나 분석적인 내용을 포함한 의견기사를 다루었다. 이러한 현상은 세계적인 엘리트 신문의 기본적인 특성인데, 온라인 타임즈가 종이신문인 더 타임즈의 유전자를 이어받은 것으로 볼 수 있다. 한편, 조선닷컴은 ‘도덕성’ 뉴스 프레임을 통해서 해당 이슈가 한국에 미칠 경제적 영향과 해결의 당위성에 초점을 맞추어져 있다. 반면, 온라인 타임즈는 ‘책임 귀인’ 뉴스프레임을 가장 많이 사용하면서 해당 이슈의 원인을 규명하는데 뉴스의 초점을 맞추었다. 이것은 온라인 타임즈가 자국인 영국의 관점뿐만 아니라 국제 정치질서 속에서 이 문제를 바라보고 의제화하고 있음을 보여준다. This study focused on the comparative frame analysis on online newspapers in which Korean and British online newspapers are expanding over the traditional newspapers in Korea and U. K. We have done a comparative frame analysis in the characteristics according to the foreign news. In this study, we first examine the front-page of Chosun-dotcom and Online The Times. Online The Times published the foreign news, hard news, and feature news in the front-page more than Chosun-dotcom. These are the traits of the international elite newspapers. The Chosun-dotcom, meanwhile, focused on ‘morality’ news frame in reference to the Korean economic effects and solution plan. Whereas Online The Times focused on ‘responsibility attribution’ news frame in accordance with establishment the cause of the foreign issue. This means that the perspective of Online The Times is not U. K. but the world. Again, Online The Time published the issue like the international political issue, and raised on the global agenda.

지자체의 TV 드라마 제작지원에 따른 행정홍보 효과에 관한 사례연구

정보화시대가 본격적으로 펼쳐지면서 정보전달의 주요매체인 매스미디어의 위상이 더욱 높아지고 있다. 지방자치단체에서도 매스미디어 행정홍보에 많은 관심을 기우리고 있는 가운데, 드라마를 활용한 지자체홍보 전략 또한 새로운 홍보 방법의 하나로 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 청주시의 SBS 드라마스페셜 『카인과 아벨』 지원사례를 중심으로 지자체의 드라마 제작 지원이 어떤 방식으로 이루어지고 있으며, 어떤 효과가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 그리고 시청자들이 드라마 시청을 통해 지자체를 어떻게 인식하고 있으며, 이것이 과연 지역 관광과 연결될 수 있는지를 설문조사 분석하였다. 또한 드라마 제작 지원의 직 간접적인 효과를 분석하였다. 일본 한류 팬의 방문과 언론보도를 통한 직접 적인 지역홍보 효과와 설문조사에서 나타난 잠재적인 관광객의 경제적인 효과를 산출하였다. 아울러 지자체의 드라마 제작지원의 효과를 최대화할 수 있는 방안도 간략하게 언급하였다. In the information society, mass media still exercise its influence over many people, and the local-government interest in administration publicity through the media. The results from the current study reveal following as TV drama production support which won popular acclaim and high ratings effect viewers, and then its drama has effectiveness of the administration publicity. When Cheongju city managed a meeting for the announcement of TV drama, Japanese tourists visited to Cheongju city and made a trip there. Following to this drama, the city expect potential tourists from other provinces people, foreigners as well. Finally, we estimate that the effectiveness of TV drama production support is high from the view of the administration publicity.

인터넷 포털미디어의 저널리즘 특성에 관한 고찰: <네이버 뉴스>와 <야후 미디어>의 속보성, 상호작용성, 관련기사 서비스를 중심으로

본 연구에서는 포털 저널리즘의 특성을 고찰함으로써 포털미디어의 문제점과 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 인터넷 커뮤니케이션 기술을 바탕으로한 포털미디어는 전통적인 미디어와 비교하여 ``속보성``, ``상호작용성``, ``관련기사`` 서비스 등의 특성 혹은 장점을 갖고 있다. 분석결과에 따르면, 첫째 포털미디어가 저널리즘의 역할 및 기능을 강화하기 위해선 연성뉴스보다는 경성뉴스인 정치·경제분야 뉴스에서 속보성을 더욱 강화해 나갈 필요가 있다. 둘째, 포털미디어의 상호작용성은 저널리즘의 역할 및 기능을 활성화시킬 수 있는 중요한 기제가 될 수 있음에도 불구하고 현재 포털미디어의 뉴스 생산구조에서 이를 실현하기엔 한계가 있어 보인다. 마지막으로 관련기사 서비스와 관련하여, 포털미디어의 관련기사 서비스는 연성뉴스인 연예분야 뉴스에 집중하고 있는 상황을 지양해야 하며, 아울러 경성뉴스인 정치분야 뉴스에 있어서 공정성을 담보한 관련뉴스 서비스를 지향해야 한다. This study is a research for the characteristic of the Portal Journalism of the Portal Media in connection with breaking news, interaction, and relative news. The Portal Media, as a distributive media, have the characteristic or the strength of the breaking news, interaction, and relative news in comparison with the traditional media. We got three research questions for this study. First, we researched the breaking news of the Portal. As the result of this research, the Portal Media need to reinforce the breaking news in hard news. Secondly, we researched the characteristic of the interaction, in particular "reply". In spite of the strength in the interaction, the Portal Media did not make effective use of the interaction. Thirdly, we are interested in the use of the relative news, which can carry out the deep report without the control of time and spaces. The Portal Media need to reinforce the relative news in the hard news(including fairness) for the purpose of development of Portal Journalism.

인터넷 미디어의 유형과 뉴스 속성에 따른 뉴스 프레임 분석 -지역 이슈인 ``동남권 신공항``과 ``광주 인화학교`` 사례

본 연구에서는 지역 이슈를 생산 및 확산함으로써 전국적인 이슈 혹은 여론형성을 이끌어내는 인터넷 미디어를 연구하고자 프레임 분석틀을 적용하였다. 분석결과에서 나타난 뉴스 프레임의 사용은 미디어의 유형과 뉴스 속성이 복합적으로 작용한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 전체 뉴스의 절반가량을 게재한 블로그는 ``갈등`` 뉴스 프레이밍을 가진 연성뉴스를 생산 및 확산하고 있었다. 연구결과에 따르면, 공적 인터넷 미디어와 사적 인터넷 미디어가 상호작용하는 뉴스 생태계에서 개인적으로 재구성이 가능한 블로그는 인터넷 뉴스 생산양상(뉴스 프레이밍)에 많은 영항을 미침으로써 여론 형성과정에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 개인적 차원에서 이슈가 변질될 수 있는 블로그와 같은 인터넷 개인 미디어가 인터넷 뉴스 생태계를 주도할 때 온라인 저널리즘을 왜곡시킬 수 있다는 측면도 생각해 볼 수 있다. This study explores the system of news production on the Internet Media with special reference to the news framing regarding to Southeast New Airport and Inhwa School as local issues. The results from the current study reveal the following: The use of news frame suggest it may be a combination of the media`s pattern and news properties. In particular, the Blog, which carried out the half of news, edited the softness news and ``conflict`` news frame. The blogers have reconstructed the news based on their perspectives, so the Blog have a more immediate and vital influence in the processing of public opinion. In sum, the current study demonstrates that the Blog can distort the online-journalism according as Internet personal Media like the Blog take the lead in the system of news production on the Internet Media.

인터넷 미디어의 뉴스서비스에 관한 비교 연구: 포털사이트와 신문사닷컴의 관련뉴스, 하이퍼링크, 댓글을 중심으로

본 연구에서는 신문사닷컴과 포털사이트의 뉴스 서비스를 비교 고찰하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 첫째 관련뉴스는 비메인으로 분류된 뉴스에서보다 메인으로 분류된 뉴스에서 더 높게 나타났다. 메인뉴스에서 더 많은 관련뉴스를 제공하고 있는 것은 포털사이트나 신문사닷컴 모두 동일하였다. 신문사닷컴은 포털사이트에 비하여 관련뉴스 서비스를 적게 다루고 있는데, 신문사닷컴은 온라인 저널리즘의 특성을 확대시키기 위해 관련뉴스 서비스를 더욱 활성화할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 포털사이트와 신문사닷컴 모두 뉴스의 중요도가 높은 메인뉴스에서 하이퍼링크를 활성화시킴으로써 수용자들에게 메인뉴스를 심층적으로 보도하는 역할을 했다. 다만, 포털사이트에서는 비메인뉴스임에도 불구하고 하이퍼링크가 활성화된 경우가 있었는데, 포털사이트가 갖고 있는 뉴스의 연성화 추세와도 연관된 것으로 여겨진다. 셋째, 댓글은 대부분 비메인뉴스보다 메인뉴스에서 더 높게 나타났다. 그리고 포털사이트와 신문사닷컴 간 댓글의 수를 비교해보면 포털사이트 뉴스의 댓글 수가 신문사닷컴 뉴스의 댓글 수보다 훨씬 높게 나타났다. 따라서 동일한 내용의 뉴스라 하더라도 뉴스를 이용한 이용자들 간 또는 뉴스 생산자와 소비자 간 상호작용은 신문사닷컴에서보다 포털사이트에서 더욱 활발하게 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있다. We need to examine Related News, Hyperlink, and Reply in the Internet Media. It is helpful to do this to gain an understanding of the scheme in online journalism`s advance. As the result of the research, Related News is frequently carried on main news rather than non-main news. The entire of the Press dot Coms and the Portal Sites are frequently carried on main news. However, Related News is low on the Press dot Coms rather than the Portal Sites. It means that the Press dot Coms need to actively play up Related News for the function of online journalism. Secondly, we researched in Hyperlink, then the entire of the Press dot Coms and the Portal Sites played up it on main news rather than non-main news. So, these Internet Medias carried out the deep report to receivers through Hyperlink. In spit of non-main news, the Portal Sites occasionally played up Hyperlink on non-main news. It means that the news service of the Portal Sites related to the tendency of Soft News. Thirdly, we are interested in the use of Reply, which can communication between receivers and the Internet media. As a result of the research, the Portal Sites frequently played up Reply rather than the Press dot Coms. So, the Press dot Coms need to be quickening up Reply in news service for the purpose of development of online journalism.

SNS 뉴스 서비스의 특성에 관한 연구: 카카오톡 뉴스 콘텐츠

본 논문은 디지털미디어의 영향이 확대되는 가운데, SNS 카카오톡 플랫폼의 뉴스 서비스에 주목하였다. SNS 카카오톡은 AI 뉴스알고리즘을 활용한 ‘편집’을 통해서 뉴스 이용자들에게 제공됨으로써 초기화면에 어떠한 뉴스를 업로드 하느냐에 따라 뉴스 이용자의 의제 형성에 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 논문의 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, SNS 카카오톡 플랫폼 뉴스서비스에서 경성뉴스의 연성화는 문제이다. 둘째, SNS 카카오톡 플랫폼의 뉴스 서비스에서 상위 5% 뉴스원은 뉴스통신사 3개, 경제전문 인터넷신문 1개, 전통적인 보수 신문 미디어 3개이다. 100% 타급뉴스에 의존하는 SNS 카카오톡 플랫폼의 뉴스 서비스는 보수언론의 뉴스 프레임을 확대 재생산하고 있음을 나타내며, 뉴스 프레임의 획일화 문제를 낳을 수 있다. 셋째, 뉴스의 연성화 정도가 강할수록 댓글이 많은데, 본 연구결과는 댓글 수와 뉴스의 연성화와 관계있음을 실증적으로 보여준다. 뉴스 생태계가 뉴스 이용자와의 역동적인 상호작용으로 이루어지고 있는 상황에서, 뉴스 이용자의 욕구가 반영된 댓글이 뉴스 서비스에 영향을 미치고 있음을 나타낸다. 따라서 온라인 저널리즘의 회복을 위한 법·제도적 방안이 시급하게 마련되어야 한다. This study focused on the news service of the SNS KakaoTalk platform while the influence of digital media has expanded. As SNS KakaoTalk is unilaterally provided to news users through ‘editing’ using AI news algorithm, it can significantly affect the agenda formation of news users depending on what news is uploaded to the initial screen. The research results of this study are as follows. First, the softening of hard news in the SNS KakaoTalk platform news service is a problem. Second, the top 5% news sources in the news service of the SNS KakaoTalk platform are three news agencies, one economy-specialized internet newspaper, and three traditional conservative newspapers. The news service of the SNS KakaoTalk platform, which is 100% dependent on other news sources, indicates that the news frame of the conservative media is expanded and reproduced, and it may lead to of lack of diversity in the news frame. Third, the stronger the degree of news softening, the more comments. The results of this study empirically show a relationship between the number of comments and the news softening. Considering that the news ecosystem consists of dynamic interaction with news users, it indicates that the comments reflecting the needs of news users affect the news service. Therefore, legal and institutional measures must be urgently prepared for the recovery of online journalism.

인터넷신문 프론트페이지의 특성 비교고찰: <조선닷컴>과 <한겨레>

이 연구는 인터넷신문 프론트 페이지의 특성을 고찰하고자 했는데, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 인터넷신문의 뉴스콘텐츠는 시의성과 상호작용성을 갖는 ``유동성 뉴스``의 특성을 갖고 있으며, 프론트 페이지에서 경성뉴스가 많이 나타났다. 하지만, 인터넷신문에 따라서 경성뉴스가 연성화 현상을 나타냄으로써 프론트 페이지의 연성화 현상을 낳을 수 있다. 또한 인터넷신문 뉴스콘텐츠가 갖고 있는 시의성은 공정성과 정확성을 오히려 해칠 수 있으며, 상호작용성은 뉴스 이용자의 이해와 욕구를 더욱 반영함으로써 뉴스의 상업화와 연성화 현상을 부추길 수 있다는 문제점이 있다. 종이신문의 뉴스 기사를 바탕으로 한 인터넷신문의 뉴스 콘텐츠는 인터넷 환경에서 씨앗뉴스로서 다른 인터넷미디어의 뉴스원이 될 수 있다. 따라서 인터넷신문 뉴스 콘텐츠가 어떠한 특성을 갖고 있는지는 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 이에 인터넷신문 뉴스 콘텐츠에 대한 비판적인 접근은 의미 있는 작업이다. This research is a comparative study on the characteristic of online newspapers` front-page in connection with cosun.com and hani.co.kr. As the result of this research, we need to take a critical view of the characteristic of the internet news contents. The news contents have the characteristic of liquid news, which hold ``immediacy`` and ``interactivity`` from the journalism`s view point. Immediacy and interactivity have merits in journalism, but they can also damage ``accuracy`` and ``de-commercialization`` of the journalism. And the hard news has come up a good deal on the front-page of the news websites. However, the hard news, in particular, political news, exhibits most of the characteristics of ``softness news``. The softness news of the political news produces adverse effect on the journalism. Internet news contents as ``seed news`` get to be aroused criticism, and we need to discuss social responsibility of online newspapers.
