        As importance of toddler education is spread, there is awareness that toddler physical education IS necessary for young children. The goal of this research is to understand the insufficiency of the realistic response to this realization and to suggest a development direction by considering the total toddler physical education present condition. Currently, toddler physical education does not fulfill the educational needs of toddler education, and the limits of toddler physical education are the lack of standard and installation of professional equipment. Additionally, professional education and retraining to foster toddler physical education is nonexistent. Therefore, we suggest the following development directions based on understanding the site and by analyzing related literature. First, the infrastructure of the facilities and financial structures must be shared through the regional community`s cooperation. Second, there must be an effort to introduce a teacher who is exclusively in charge of physical education and to secure time for physical education from the preschool. Third, education planning and management related to toddler education and physical education must be standardized, and there needs to be a policy that can reflect this on-site. On top of this, on-site effort to Improve chronic problems of toddler physical education from leaders, facilities, and classes is needed.

        유치원 체육교육시설의 보유 실태 및 개선방향에 관한 연구

        Physical activity in the childhood is very important due to its role as an stepping-stone of the growth. However, preschools where most children are learning physical activities have very insufficient environment. Most of them have limited area for the physical activities which means children can not have enough space for big movement. Therefore, enforcing the standard on sports facilities in the preschool is needed. This standard should include the space for physical activity and must be practical. By confirming this space, children at least can be ensured for various physical activities.

      • 킨볼게임 변형활동을 통한 유아의 협동 활동 프로그램 개발

        There have been increasing needs regarding physical activities in which every child can happily participate as part of early childhood education curriculum. The purpose of this research is to introduce cooperative physical activities which enable children to develop social abilities and positive self-images Also, this activities will contribute to facilitating a play culture where everyone can freely participate and have exiting experiences. To develop cooperative psychical activities, Kin-ball program was transformed based on children`s physical, social and emotional needs. When the Kin-ball transformed program was implemented, most of the children lively participated in the activities without an alienated child. Mutual understandings between children, cooperative behaviors, and active participations were observed during the Kin-ball activities. This transformed Kin-ball program may contribute to young children`s social and emotional development as well as their physical strength and health.

      • 친사회적 협동게임이 유아의 자아개념 발달에 미치는 영향

        Subjects of this study is 60 4-years-old children (34 boys and 26 girls) in S kindergarten located in Bundang area. Testing instrument developed by Bently and Yeatts (1974), and revised by Yim, Choon-Keum(1995) was used to test children`s self-concept. Data were statistically analyzed by spss 10.0. Conclusions drawn from the results of this study are as follows: First, It caused affirmative effect for the self-concept of young children who has an experience what the intimate prosocial cooperative. There are four factors of the self-concept : recognizable self-conception, the emotional self-conception, the society self-conception, the body self-conception. Second, the gender distinction of a young children who has been experienced prosocial cooperative games affect to young children`s self-conception by statistics. Finally, the result of this study are as follows : if many young children institutes use this game programs are based on prosocial cooperative, we may get the huge effectives that development of self-concept.

        This study was conducted to find out solutions to develop physical education policy and programs in Korea. To achieve this purpose, this study analyzed the status of physical education in Korea and examined the relationship between child`s physical education program participation and cluld`s health and psychological condition. For analyzing, Panel Data on Korean Children(wave 5) collected by KICCE(Korea Institute of Child Care and Education) was used. The result of Hus study appeared that physical education participation had a positive impact on various aspects in child`s psychological and behavioral health especially on lowering ADHA(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).

        This study focused on analysing the status of physical education teacher qualification process in Korea and finding future directions for the development of physical education for early childhood. For this purpose, we analyzed the lists of requirements for physical education teacher certification from major private institutions regarding physical teacher certification. The paper also analyzed the physical education policy in United States both in national level and state level.

      • 여자 육상선수의 경기 전 상태불안과 경기력의 관계

        The purpose of this study is to research into the anxiety level of competition state that Korean female athletes generally feel before a competition. The Inspection method in the study was CSAI-2 developed by Martens and his colleagues in 1983. As a measurement tool of the anxiety level of competition state felt by athletes before a competition, this inspection gauge consists of three subordinate measure-cognitive state of anxiety, physical state of anxiety, state confidence. The independent variables were ability[skill] level(superiority/inferiority), kind of events(short-distance/mid and long-distance race), career(less than 3 years/4-6 years/over 7 years), and on the other hand, the dependent variable was the anxiety factors of competition state in sports, which was carried out by t-test and One-Way ANOVA. The statistic level of hypothesis was established under p<.05. The major results obtained by the analysis of collected data are as follows: With regard to the anxiety level of state in female athletes’ careers, it turned out to be a significant distinction in that an athlete with a career of 4-6 years showed a lower anxiety level of cognitive state than ones with a career of less than 3 years and over 7 years(p<.05).

      • 한국 유아체육의 현황과 발전방향

        In a society based on knowledge, it is primarily dependent on the level of quality of child education to educate students creatively. Although one hundred years has been passed since the education of children in kindergarten began, the policy on child education has not been treated seriously at a national level, but changed according to the administrational opportunism and political interests. Educationally advanced countries already established public educational system of child education, and has been managing human resource through normal child education as early as possible. In spite of that, Korea, is still inferior to educationally advanced nations in many areas of child education including public finance, educational system, educational contents, method and so on. Physical education can reduce the national hygienics and social welfare cost and it has high economical worth because of it`s high efficiency with low cost. Futhermore, vitality of life with each individual`s health and physical fitness is not only the foundation of individual`s potential but also directly related with the soundness of society. Therefor, American and European advanced countries came to regard, physical education and it`s infra structure which provide human resources, health and hygienics of people, as the social overhead capital (SOC) since 1990`s. Especially, even though the area of child physical education has unlimited possibility of development in it`s marketability and industrial aspect it is still paltry for insufficiency of policy, finance, facilities, program, and educators. Today it is needed to produce systematic, professional and future oriented educators. Under these circumstances, there is only a few mid term and long term plans for the development of child physical education, guide books for child physical educators, programs which reflect characteristics of child physical education and child development. literatures about effect and success of child physical education related with family, kindergarten and community, and research about child physical education. As a result, I suggest that much effort should be made to support child physical education at a national level, to lead active participation of citizens by active media campaign and providing various programs, to produce quality physical educators in cooperation of child education and child physical education.
