      • 플라톤의 신체관, 그리고 체육의 현재와 미래

        Discussions on Plato’s body philosophy mentions the necessity of physical education along with cultivation of spirit toward the guardians and the general public in several dialogues including The Republic and Laws. Particularly, the importance of the role of physical education is emphasized since one could cultivate virtue through physical education. Like this, Plato’s physical view gives various implication in modern times. People should make true value of sport activity, and find true pleasure through competition of excellence from Plato’s perspective. Present day sport often exploits the body, given to win-at-all-cost spirit, results in sick body due to excessive emphasis on functional aspect of the body, and makes the athlete not a person but a machine, caused by mammonism and commercialism; Virtuous sportsmanship and pursuit of Plato’s arête became luxury for the sake of victory. Due to this, some athletes forget the spiritual world of human after their retirement. Plato’s physical view provides the opportunity to reflect on things such as healthy life, excellent life, and the value of physical education to modern people. Human body is the fruit of evolution as Subtle Body. Hereupon, no other revolutionized entity in the future could compete with this combined mechanism of human body and reason. No matter how much human civilization develops furthermore, and new philosophical views are created, body, as mentioned in Plato’s philosophy, will continue to exist as main subject of philosophy. That is, as civilization develops more and the quality of human life gets better, men will dream and desire for extension of life-span. Even so, as men are granted finite body, philosophical studies in the future should change the direction from ‘desiring body’ to ‘thinking body’.

        메를로-퐁티의 현상학과 몸철학

        이 연구는 ‘메를로-퐁티의 현상학과 몸철학’을 주제로 하여, ‘스포츠에서 살아있는 몸, 즉 신체’를 바탕으로 선수의 지각(경험)과 행동을 통해 어떻게 세계를 해석할 수 있는가?, 그리고 ‘스포츠에서 몸의 주체성과 지각은 어떻게 나타나는가?’ 또한 ‘선수의 현상학적인 몸이 경험을 통해 세계를 인식할 수 있는가?’를 신체 도식을 통해 이끌어내고자 하였다. 스포츠 선수의 ‘몸’은 지각적으로 ‘체화된 몸’을 통해서 세계는 표현되고, 운동 형식을 통해 ‘육화된 본질’로 나타난다. 즉 스포츠 현장에서 ‘보이는’, ‘보여지는’ 행위는 선수의 몸에 반향을 일으키고 그것들을 체화하여 또 다른 보이는 것으로 표상한다. 그리고 선수는 주체적으로 자기 스스로의 몸을 통해 지각한 세계와 신체에 남겨진 체화된 속성을 토대로 스포츠로 변환시켜 주는 것이다. 결국 메를로-퐁티 철학은 몸을 단순히 도구로 보지 않고 의식과 세계를 매개하는 중심적인 주체로 인식하는데, 이런 관점에서 스포츠는 신체 활동을 넘어서 인간의 존재 방식과 세계와의 상호작용을 드러내는 중요한 영역이 된다. 다시 말해 스포츠에서 살아있는 몸은 신체를 통해 행위자(선수)로서 행위하는 주체이며, 이 몸은 스포츠 현장에서 나타나는 통로이자, 행위하는 주체의 통로이며 서로에게 관계를 맺고 있는 세계이다. 이는 곧 스포츠에서 심오한 존재론적인 깊이를 더함으로써 스포츠의 폭을 한껏 심화시킨다. This study titled “Merleau-Ponty’s Phenomenology and the Philosophy of the Body,” explores how athletes can interpret the world through their perceptions (experiences) and actions based on the living body, i.e., the physical body in sport and how subjectivity and perception of the body manifest in sport. Furthermore, it seeks to elucidate whether an athlete’s phenomenological body can recognize the world through experiences via bodily schema. In sport, an athlete’s body is expressed perceptually through the world as an embodied body and appears as an incarnated essence through the forms of movement. In essence, the acts of seeing and being seen in the sport field resonate within the athlete’s body, embodying these acts and representing them as another visible form. Moreover, the athlete subjectively transforms the world perceived through their own body and the embodied properties left in the body into sport. Ultimately, Merleau-Ponty’s philosophy does not view the body merely as a tool but as a central subject that mediates consciousness and the world. From this perspective, sport transcend physical activity and reveal themselves as a transformative realm that not only displays the mode of human existence and interaction with the world but also has the potential to shape it. In other words, the living body in sport acts as the agent (athlete) through the body, and this body serves as a conduit on the sport field, a pathway for the acting agent, and a world that is not separate but interrelated with each other, fostering a sense of unity and shared experience. This adds a profound ontological depth to sport, significantly deepening the scope of sport.

        태권도 시범학교의 수업만족도와 수업효과 및 지속여부 분석

        이 연구는 2015학년도 제2학기부터 실시된 태권도 시범학교의 태권도 수업에 대한 학생들의 인식 수준을 평가하는 목적으로 전국 태권도 시범학교 12개 학교 총 2,118명의 자료를 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 태권도 시범학교 태권도 수업에 참여하고 있는 학생들은 수업만족도, 수업효과, 지속여부에 대해 비교적 높은 수준으로 평가하고 있다. 수업 만족도의 하위요 인에서는 지도자가 가장 높았으며, 수업내용, 시설/환경, 흥미의 순으로 나타났다. 수업만족도에 대해 남학생이 여학생 보다 높은 수준으로 평가하며, 하위요인 중 특히 지도자, 시설/환경에서 높게 평가하고 있었다. 또한 학교급에 따른 수업만족도의 차이에서는 고등학생이 중학생에 비해 높게 평가하며, 고등학생은 하위요인 중 지도자, 시설/환경에서 중학생에 비해 높게 평가하고 있었다. 태권도장 경험에 따른 차이에서는 태권도장 유경험 학생이 무경험 학생보다 높게 평가 하며, 하위요인 중 수업내용, 지도자, 흥미에서 유경험 학생이 무경험 학생보다 높게 평가하고 있었다. 수업효과에서는 성별, 학교급에 따른 유의한 차이는 없었으며, 태권도장 경험에 따른 차이에서 태권도장 유경험 학생이 무경험 학생보다 높게 평가하고 있었다. 지속여부에서는 성별, 학교급에 따른 유의한 차이는 없었으며, 태권도장 경험 유무에 따른 차이에서 태권도장 유경험 학생이 무경험 학생보다 높게 평가하고 있었다. This study has obtained the following results based on data analysis on 2,118 students from twelve Taekwondo model schools nationwide to evaluate the cognition level of the students on their experience on Taekwondo classes during the second semester of 2015. Students have rated satisfactory for satisfaction, effect, and sustainability of Taekwondo classes. Instructors were listed as the top reason for low satisfaction rate, along with facility/environment. For class satisfaction, male students gave higher scores compared to female students, and high school students than middle school students. High school students so gave higher scores for instructors and facility/environment compared to middle school students. Previous experience with Taekwondo showed difference also; students with previous experience with Taekwondo gave higher score, especially for items such as class contents, instructor, and interest. There were no significant difference between genders or class difference on the effects and sustainability of Taekwondo class, but once again, students with previous Taekwondo experience gave higher score for this item.

        한국무예 정체성 확립을 위한 기반구축

        This study attempts to reinterpret the meaning of Korean martial arts through the cultural structure of the traditional martial arts, which are defined as traditional martial arts at the present time when the identity of Korean martial arts is shaken. In general, it is a common view to interpret the traditional martial arts as a martial art that has been handed down to the present day with its unique and eternal cultural tradition., In this study, we first agreed that Korean martial arts is an organic culture that changes according to the environment and social customs of the times, and tried to lead a new interpretative discussion with an extended vision and thinking beyond the conventional framework of the traditional structure. Everything in this world changes. Traditional martial arts also change the purpose to be pursued, the rules are changed, and the technique becomes more and more splendid. However, it is clear that the martial art should be grounded as a martial art, and there must be something unique as a martial art, an idea, a tradition, or a martial art. In a way, we do not know that we forget the most important part very casually.

        세계화를 위한 태권도 경기의 발전방향

        Under the improvement direction of Taekwondo competition for globalization, this study is tried to reconsider social current issues raised from Taekwondo competition with the Olympics as the center and find a practical solution to a problem. Particularly, study intended to regain nature of Taekwondo by reminiscing achievement until now which is globalization``s driving force and reflecting on the present and show visually that Taekwondo competition has chivalry. As a result, issues raised from Taekwondo competition are not new appeared problem. They are chronic problems after the adoption of competition as different method and form. Eventually, ``boring game method`` and ``judgement dispute`` as chronic problem are not resolved until now. Therefore, it is considered that finding fundamental alternative is desirable away from repeated overlapped solution. Researcher suggested to find new direction of Taekwondo competition through training of sports ethics. Now, there are many athlete and participator used any means to get win without respect to corruption, fair play and sportsmanship exposed by media. In this era, training of sports ethics is essential. Traninning of sports ethics, although fundamental alternative requires a lot of time compared to existing institutional way, it is certain that sports ethics is surely mandatory course and education for step on right way and more ideal globalization of Taekwondo.
