In this paper, we propose a calculation method for fuzzy control based on quantized α-cut decompoSItion<br/> of fuzzy sets, This method is easy to be implemented in analog hardware. The effect of quantization levels on defuzzified fuzzy inference result is investigated. A few quantization levels are sufficient for fuzzy control. The hardware implementation of this calculation method and the defuzzification by gravity center method by PWM are also presented.

There are two kinds of ground fault diagonosis system(GFD), which are for AC and DC power line. The ground fault current of a DC power line is, first, analyzed for a description of a GFD system for DC power line and then the construction method of the GFD system, which could be processed and analyzed a ground fault current, are explained. Main functions of the system are that the detected ground fault current could be converted to the line insulation resistance by a program and saved in the system memory continuously. Finally a DC power line insulation safety could be decide by a change of the saved insulation resistance for a given time. This system can detect the ground fault resistance to 100KΩ

As jumpers for overhead transmission lines increase in size, it is necessary to take into the characteristics of jumper swaying space in order to determine jumper reinforcements adequately. From the theory of a structure made of beams, formulas for the sideway swaying of overhead transmission lines due to wind are modeled. And also natural frequency of the vibrated jumper is estimated to check the system resonance. The theoretical results can be led good suggestions to improve the economy and reliability of jumper structure.

Local heating transportation pipe has sensor and return lines to detect water-leakage. There are impulse and resistance comparison measurement types for a water-leakage detection. The impulse type shows large detection error within a measurement range. Since the resistance comparison type can find a comparative accurate single water-leakage point in the measurement range of heating pipe, it has been used to detect water-leakages these days. However if the multi water-leakages are happened in the measurement range of transportation pipe, the resistance comparison type shows a detection error point by the parallel resistance between a detection sensor line and ground. But the detection error will be minimized by the divided transportation pipe loops. In this research, it suggests the design of remote controlled detection system which can divide a large pipe loop and a possible single water-leakage measurement process in each divided loops.
