In this study, the performance of isotropic spunbonded geotextiles, which are used in vacuum consolidation, was tested both in the laboratory and in the field. Two kinds of isotropic spunbonded geotextiles were prepared. One was a matrix/binder structure using low-melting polyethylene terephthalate (PET) copolymer (co-PET) fibers for web bonding. The other consisted of sheath/core (co-PET/PET) fibers. Through the index test, it was seen that the performance of the sheath/core structure isotropic spunbonded geotextiles was better for use with vacuum consolidation than the matrix/binder structure isotropic spunbonded geotextiles. However, the drainage performance test, which simulates a construction environment, showed that the sheath/core structure isotropic spunbonded geotextiles were unstable. The matrix/binder isotropic spunbonded geotextiles showed better results for the drainage test and the field test results for the matrix/binder isotropic spunbonded geotextiles showed that they were suitable for use with vacuum consolidation.

In order to minimize settlement of a shallow foundation, a model test is performed using geogrids for reinforcement. The optimal reinforcement is found by varying reinforcement length and changing reinforcement layer. From the test results, it is inferred that 2 layers and 4 times the foundation length is the most effective reinforcement condition obtained using geogrids. As a result of this tendency, 2 layers-4 times and 2 layers-5 times conditions are used to determine the reinforcement effect of two types of geogrids with the same tensile strength and of a single type of geogrid but with two tensile strengths. The reinforcement effect of the welded type is less than that of warp-knitted type. It can be seen that frictional resistance is developed at the soil-geogrid rib interface; therefore, the reinforcement capacity is reduced. It is inefficient to use reinforcement of high tensile strength under conditions of allowable bearing capacity, but it is necessary to choose reinforcement of suitable tensile strength under conditions of ultimate bearing capacity.

In this study, three-dimensional woven geotextiles with special cords were fabricated using different yarns, and then, the effect of pore structure on the water permeability of these geotextiles was evaluated and analyzed. Weft overlapping structure might have resulted in increased water permeability by creating channels for the fluid to flow. When multifilaments are used, the woven geotextiles exhibit poor air and water permeability despite the large AOS (apparent opening size). This phenomenon is attributed to the spreading of multifilaments by compression. In comparison, the split yarn showed the better air and water permeability under identical conditions. For improving the mechanical properties, it is recommended the higher denier split yarn need to be used for the better water permeable property.

In this study, PET spunbonded nonwoven geotextiles were used as filter media of PVD(Prefabricated Vertical Drainboard). 3.5% NaCl solution as an artificial seawater was applied to examine the long-term strength retention and reduction factor was determined from strength retention. Arrhenius models is applied to evaluate sustainable applicability of PET spunbonded nonwoven geotextiles at 25℃ is predicted.
Evaluation of Waste Landfill Applicable Performance of Geomembrane by Accelerated Index Tests

The result of the test is reported and it has been found that number of loading cycle has irregular influence on installation damage. It is known that the service life of a GM depends on the exposure conditions, which in a landfill may involve adverse chemical exposure, elevated operating temperatures, and potentially large physical stresses. New equipment was developed and the installation damaged GM samples were exposed to pH solutions under different stress at elevated temperature for hours. It has been noticed that as the applied stress on GM samples increases, residual tensile strength decreases and they showed higher tolerance to acidic condition than alkali condition.
지역아동센터 아동·청소년 문화예술교육 성과분석 연구 - CJ나눔재단 문화지원사업을 중심으로 -

본 연구는 아동·청소년을 대상으로 문화예술교육의 성과를 살펴보기 위한 실증연구이다. 문 화예술은 모든 국민의 권리이며 아동·청소년의 개인적 역량 증가 및 사회문제의 예방을 위해 필수적이다. 그러나 코로나19로 인하여 아동·청소년의 문화향유권이 제한되었고 특히, 저소 득·소규모 지역에 있을수록 피해는 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이에 코로나19 기간 문화예술교육의 제한이 컸을 것으로 예상되는 지역아동센터를 중심으로 문화예술교육 사업을 지속하였으며, 관 련 성과 데이터를 전국 규모로 관리하는 CJ나눔재단의 <사회적 성과(Social Impact) 연구 사업> 자료를 연구에 활용하였다. 연구 대상은 지역아동센터 아동·청소년 398명이며, 문화예술교육 의 형태를 향유형, 학습형, 활동형으로 구분하고, 참여 수준을 평균 이하, 평균, 평균 이상 집단 으로 구분하여 ANOVA 분석을 통해 성과를 살펴보았다. 성과는 문화예술 친숙성, 창의성, 자아 인식, 사회성, 문제행동, 성취감, 진로성숙도로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 활동형이 향유형, 학습형 보다 성과가 높은 것으로 나타났으며 참여 수준이 높을수록 더 많은 성과 지표에서 유의성을 보였다. 이는 적극적이고 주체적인 문화예술교육을 통한 문화향유권 보장이 아동·청소년의 인 적자원을 극대화하고 학습 능력을 제고하여 건강한 성장을 위한 기재로 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다는 것으로 문화예술교육 지원에 있어 능동적·주체적인 기회를 증진하기 위한 사회적 노 력이 지속되어야 할 것이다. This study examines the performance of cultural and artistic activities on children and adolescents in child care centers, emphasizing their importance as a fundamental right and a means of personal and social development. During the COVID-19 pandemic, these activities were significantly restricted, affecting children disproportionately in low-income and smaller communities, particularly those in community child centers. The research categorizes the activities into enjoyment, learning, and participation types and utilizes ANOVA to evaluate the effects based on engagement mode and participation level. The findings reveal that participation-focused activities lead to higher performance benefits, showing a positive correlation between the extent of participation and the enhancement of performance indicators. The results underscore the vital role of cultural and artistic activities in fostering learning abilities, promoting healthy development, and improving the quality of life for young individuals. This study highlights the need for ongoing social support for cultural arts education, demonstrating its critical role in maximizing the potential and well-being of children and adolescents, especially during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
Evaluation of Time-Temperature Dependence of Nonwoven Geotextiles by Salt Water Spray Test

Four types of nonwoven geotextiles to be used in this study were adopted as test materials. A laboratory exposure program was conducted to assess the 10% NaCl solution of nonwoven geotextiles to examine the applicability for the coastal engineering field. Nonwoven geotextiles specimens were cut into machine direction (MD) and cross machine direction (CMD) which were immersed in the 10% NaCl solution. The immersion conditions were 96, 192, 500 hours at 35, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85℃ respectively. Chemical resistance of these nonwoven geotextiles was estimated by the average retention of tensile properties after exposure in the above chemical solutions.

This study aims to develop a scale to capture various components of the family value and apply for comparative study of the family value of East Asian countries. Through literature review and experts consults, 27 preliminary questions of the East Asian family value were developed. A total of 3,000 people of East Asia countries(Korea, China, Japan) aged 20∼59 were responded to the questionnaire. For validating the family scale developed, an explanatory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted. The results were as follows. Two of the 27 questions were deleted because those questions were found to have high correlation with other questions. Through the exploratory factor analysis 5 factors composed of 15 items -post-modern family value, traditional family value, confucian family value, instrumental family value and gender equality family value- were extracted and confirmed the factors with confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis. The results revealed that the family value scale was appropriate for measuring various family values in East Asian countries and would contribute to the development of Asian family theory. However, this scale can not cover all the family values and further studies would be needed to confirm the validity of the family value scale.

Securing the stability of waste landfill is very important of environmental and economic side. In order to secure the stability of waste landfill, slope stabilization is essential. In addition, slope stability is strongly influenced by the contact shear strength of geosynthetics used as barrier wall, so accurate contact shear strength between two interfacial materials can be an important factor for designing with landfills. Therefore, in this study, the friction characteristics on the fixed slope angle were analyzed by considering the actual application environmental condition between geomembrane and geotextile used in waste landfill. The friction characteristics between nonwoven geotextile and smooth type geomembrane increased as the slope angle increased. On the other hand, the frictional characteristics between nonwoven geotextile and textured type geomembrane tended to decrease with slope angle. Also, textured type geomembrane showed about 3 times higher frictional stresses than those of smooth type geomembrane, and textured type geomembrane was more affected by the slope angle.
