Corrosion characteristics of aluminum clad and bare materials applicable to EGR cooler were investigated. Corrosion test was conducted in condensate environment (pH 1.5~2.2, 80℃) for total 10 phases and was consisted of immersion test and circulation test. The analysis was carried out by measuring the microstructure and the maximum corrosion depth using optical microscope. In the immersion test, the corrosion ratio was about 16% for the brazed cladding material and about 30% for the bare material. In the cyclic test, there was a difference in the amount of erosion at the inlet, the center, and the outlet.
