In this study, we have performed optimization of renewable hybrid grids incorporating photovoltaic (PV) modules, wind turbines, diesel generators, and energy storage systems for Hangyeong-myeon in Jeju island in South Korea. A commercial microgrid simulation software has been used in this study. Performance of proposed grids has been evaluated by total net present cost. For sensitivity analyses, diesel price and cost for PV modules are used as sensitivity variables. We have also compared economic feasibility of the optimized system to one of the current electrical grid.
