Candida성 질염에서의 Clotrimazole ( Canesten ) 의 치료효과

1979년 10월부터 1980년 2월까지 가톨릭의과대학 부속 성모병원 산부인과 외래환자 중에서 candida성 질염이 확인된 50명에 대하여 6일간의 Clotrimazole질정 투여로 다음과 같은 성적을 얻었다. 1. 6일간의 치료후 1주째에 시행한 추적검사에서 치료성적은 96.7%이었다. 2. 1주후의 추적검사에서 양성인 3예에서는 재치료를 실시하였으며 이들을 포함한 2주후와 4주후의 추적검사에서는 각각 100%의 치료성적을 보였다. 3. Clotrimazole질정의 부작용이나 과민반응은 발견되지 않았다. 4. 위와 같이 Clotrimazole의 6일간 치료요법은 candida성 질염 치료에 있어서 매우 우수한 것으로 판단된다. Vaginal candidiasis is becoming an increasing tendency in patients who visited to gynecologic department. It is now commoner than gonorrhea and is fast overtaking trichomoniasis and already established as the principle of vaginal discharge. Variable preparations are available for use in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis, but most of them are needed in long term treatment. It is well known to that the shorter and more simple the course of treatment, the more likely the patient is to complete it successfully. The purpose of this paper is to represent the efficiency of 6 days course of Clotrimazole(Canesten ) vaginal tablets in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis. The materials were collected from the patients who visited to gynecologic department, St. Mary`s Hospital, Catholic Medical College, because of leukorrhea, vulva itching, burning and soreness, during the period from October, 1979 to February, 1980. Among them, 50 patients were selected who had mycologic evidence of vaginal candidiasis and then 6 days Clotrimazole(Canesten ) therapy was done. 1. 1 week later after 6 days Clotrimazole therapy the cure rate was 96.7%. 2. 3 failled case in first course were retreated as same method as 1st course then 2 weeks and 4 weeks later after therapy the cure rate were 100%. 3. Side effect or toxicity of the drug was not noticed in all of the study group patients. 4. It was suggested that 6 days Clotrimazole therapy was very effective in the vaginal candidiasis.
