동해·묵호항의 북방물류중심지 구축 방안에 관한 연구 -기종점(OD)분석을 중심으로-

강원도 내 환동해권 물류중심지의 역할을 수행할 수 있는 동해·묵호항의 활성화를 위해서는 다양한 화물을 처리하는 복합물류항으로의 전환이 필요하며, 이를 위해 본 연구는 타깃 지역 대상으로 컨테이너 OD분석을 통해 유인가능물동량을 분석하였다. 타깃 지역 수출입 업체를 대상으로 설문조사를 통하여 동해·묵호항의 문제점을 파악하고, 포트폴리오 분석을 통해 주요 타깃 품목군을 도출하여 북방물류 중심지 구축을 위한 복합물류항 전환 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 분석결과 동해·묵호항으로 유인 가능한 물동량은 102,428 TEU이며, 포트폴리오 분석결과 비금속과 그 제품, 차량·항공기·선박, 조제 식료품, 펄프·종이 품목은 지속적으로 점유율을 높일 수 있는 전략품목으로 선정하여 관리할 필요가 있다. 또한 설문 조사 결과 Port Sales, 항로 증대, 배후교통망확충 등이 문제점으로 도출되었다. 동해·묵호항 북방물류중심지 구축방안으로 항로개설, 인프라확충, 교통망개선, 마케팅전략으로 구분하여 제시하였다. The development of the Fan East-Sea necessitates the revitalization of the Donghae-Mukho port as a Fan East-Sea logistics hub within Gangwon-do. The Donghae-Mukho port should be developed into a multi-functional port that can handle various kinds of cargo. Therefore, we conducted an origin-destination analysis, portfolio analysis and a questionnaire survey on the target area. We found that the capacity of containers, which the port can hold is 102,428 TEU. The portfolio analysis reveals that items such as non-metals and their products, vehicles/aircrafts/vessels, groceries and pulp/paper should be selected as strategic products, which could facilitate continuous growth in the market shares. Futhermore, the survey results demonstrate port sales, increased usage of the searoute, and expansion of the transportation network as the current issues. We have presented proposals for the establishment of sea-routes, expansion of infrastructure, improvement in traffic services and marketing strategy to develop the Donghae-Mukho port into a northern logistics hub in the region.
