This research aims to demystify oral peer feedback in the context of EFL pair debate assessment. The current study has three research questions. In which aspect do students focus on in giving the peer feedback? Does the difference of oral proficiency level between pair members lead to the different manner of feedback? How do students perceive peer feedback and peer assessment? After forty-four university students carried out the workshop for the oral debate, they participated in English debate and peer-feedback session and submitted the survey. Researchers analyzed the transcribed oral feedback and conducted t-test in order to confirm whether there is a significant difference between higher and lower level of students in terms of the quantity of six types of feedback (meaning-level, linguistic-focused, para-linguistic, summative, attitude-related, strategy-related feedback). The finding suggests that regardless of proficiency level, students tends to give more meaning-level feedback(content- and organization-focused feedback) than language-related feedback. In addition, higher level of students do not show remarkable difference from the lower level of students in the quantity of every type of feedback. Finally, students viewed peer feedback as a useful means in enhancing the quality of English debate.

This paper discusses the exclusive relationship between a mother and a son and the son’s mother fixation. Harold Pinter’s A Night Out seemingly appears to be a story of a widowed mother who is possessive of her impotent son trying to escape from her influence. The conflict between the mother and the son could be seen as the Pinter’s typical power game between male and female characters. Therefore, many critics focus on whether the power has moved to the son or not. However, I argue that we should go further into the background of the text. What lies underneath this mother-son relationship is negative effect of the male-dominated system which systematically locates women in the domestic sphere while men work for society and capitalist production. This perpetually generates sexual and familial division of labor and justifies women’s mothering and absence of the fathers at home. In this sense, the mother and the son turn out to be victims of the patriarchy and their exclusive relationship is the consequence of this women’s mothering causing the preoedipal mother-son relationship and the son’s difficulty to be separated from her to become an independent man. To support the idea that the play is not about the power but the gender problem, Nancy Chodorow’s concept will be used.
긴급전환형 임시음압격리병실의 기밀도에 따른 최소 급배기 유량차 평가

Purpose: During the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been many cases of converting regular hospital wards into temporary negative pressure isolation wards. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the minimum airflow differences that satisfies the pressure difference criteria(-2.5 Pa) according to airtightness of switching type wards, in preparation for utilization of aging regular wards as negative pressure isolation wards. Methods: Visual inspection and field measurements were conducted using blower door to evaluate airtightness of 5 hospital wards. CONTAM simulation was used to assess the airflow differences when pressure difference between the corridor and wards met the criteria at various levels of airtightness. Results: The ACH50 of evaluated wards ranged from 19.3 to 50.1 h-1 with an average of 37.0 h-1, indicating more than four times leakier than other building types. The minimum airflow differences increased as the airtightness of the wards decreased and the size of the wards increased. Implications: When operating rapidly converted negative pressure isolation wards, understanding airtightness is crucial for determining the minimum airflow differences to maintain the pressure differences. The analysis of this study suggests that improving the airtightness of aging rooms is essential and the minimum airflow differences should be suggested considering both the airtightness and size of rooms.
강박신경증 아들의 ‘가족 로맨스’ — 해롤드 핀터의 『가족의 목소리들』을 중심으로

This paper aims to explore Harold Pinter’s Family Voices in Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic aspect. The characters are only three Voices which seem to be a son’s, a mother’s and a father’s. They speak but it seems they can’t hear each other. To understand its supernatural and illogical situation, we will consider the voices are being heard in the son’s mind who are in the middle of ‘Family Romance’. ‘Family Romances’ are fantasies which children (or the neurotics) dream of when they feel disappointed with their parents because of their personal flaws or strong sense of rivalry with the parent of the opposite sex. Through this fantasy, children can be separated from their parents. Here, the son who suffers from obsessive-compulsive neurosis because of his strong oedipus complex also fantasizes ‘family romance’. Since his romance gets influenced by his sense of guilt which is distinguishing characteristic of obsessive-compulsive neurosis, he fails to be separated from his parents. When his romance comes to an end, it turns out that he still unconsciously desires attachment relationship with his mother and his father’s death. To conclude, the play is dealing with the mother-son’s dual relationship and patricide desire of the obsessive-compulsive neurosis son and his fail of the separation from his mother.

The purpose of this paper is to read Harold Pinter’s The Room from the Lacanian perspective. Since Jacques Lacan focuses on one’s unconscious and desire, his psychoanalysis studies how a subject perceives oneself in social reality through the relations with the symbolic, and tries to follow the repressed unconscious in that symbolic. He also insists that a subject should never ‘give ground relative to one’s desire,’ and this is the ethics of desire which he emphasizes. In this paper, I will look over Rose's identity which is unconsciously formed by sexual difference in patriarchal system and her unconscious with its relations with 'the room'. Here, I suggest the room itself represents the symbolic which activates by patriarchal system. From this point of view, the room turns out to be domestic sphere and Rose represents women who ‘are imprisoned’ in it while her husband Bert(men) holds social sphere and enjoys his social life. We will see the social and emotional repression of the women by the symbolic order and the fundamental lack caused by the repression. I will try to follow the movement of her unconscious and desire and analyze how Pinter leads her to the ethics of desire.
