        The purposes of this study were to define the level of nurses' morale and the factors which influence the level of nurses' morale. The subject of the survey were 282 nurses working in five university hospitals in Seoul. The Data were surveyed by means of questionnaire from Sep. 4 to 18, 1989. The morale scale gathered with a questionnaire which consists of 31 items, were developed by researcher. The level of morale was measured by likert's 5 points rating scale. For the purpose of analysis of the data were used by mean and frequency, t-test,. ANOVA, the stepwise Multiple regression. The results of the study were as follows. 1) The mean distribution of the level of nurses' morale was 3.14 score. 2) Variables which influenced the level of nurses' morale were the clinical career (F=2.465, df=4/277, P < .05) job position (F=6.228, df=2/279, P < .0 1), Hospital: the place of data collection(F=4.049, df=4/277, P < .01), r_,3tivation of admitted professional nursing (F=3.266, df4/277, P < .05), the nurses intention to stay (F=10.861, df=3/278, P <.001), Degree of satisfaction with nursing. (F=27.872, df=4/277, P < .001) Attitude toward life (F=5.672, df=3/278, P <.001). 3) Through stepwise multiple regression 8 factors were quested for their priority order of influence on morale. Out of 1st 5 factors (Degree of satisfaction with nursing, the education for nursing professional growth, attitude toward life, job position, the place of data collection) which sum up to 38.3 % of explanation for morale, Degree of satisfaction with nursing stood out as its formost explanate at 26 %. Therefore further study is needed to investigate the predictors of the acceptance of nurses' morale.

        수지요법이 폐경증상과 태도에 미치는 효과

        Purpose: This study was to examine the effects of Koryo Hand Therapy on menopausal symptoms and attitude in permenopausal women. Methods: The research design was a nonequivalent controlgroup pretest-posttes. The subjects consisted of 45 women between the ages of 40 and 60 years in the Gyeonggi-do, Korea. There were 23 women in the experimental group and 22 in the control group. In this study, the experimental group received KHT of three times a week, for a total of 8weeks. The instruments for this study were to measure the effects of KHT were the menopausal symptoms scale and attitudes to the menopause(Maoz, Downty, Antonovsky & Wijsenbeek, 1970). The data were analyzed by $X^2$-test and Fisher's Exact Test, Mann-Whitney U-test, Wilcoxon signed rank test procedures, using SPSS/Win PC 13.0. Results: For menopausal symptoms, there were statistically significant differences between experimental group and control group. For menopausal attitudes, there were no statistically significant differences between groups. Conclusions: This result showed that KHT was effective in decreasing menopausal symptoms in perimenopausal women.

        뇌호흡 수련에 관한 교육인류학적 해석 : 교육적 상호작용을 중심으로 Focusing on the Educative Interaction

        이 연구는 교육활동의 의미 기준으로 배우는 사람과 가르치는 사람이 공동의 목표에 도달하기 위해 하나의 유기체처럼 협동하는 총체성과 이를 통해 서로 배우는 기쁨과 가르치는 기쁨을 나누는 공환성을 상정하고, 어떤 기제와 과정을 통하여 교육의 의미가 구체화되는가를 이해·해석하고자 하였다. 연구 소재로 뇌개발프로그램의 일종인 뇌호흡을 선정하고, 규칙적으로 펼쳐지는 뇌호흡 수련으로 연구 범위를 좁혔다. 이 중에서 만 6세부터 17세 사이의 아동과 청소년 집단을 대상으로 하는 뇌호흡 수련을 택하여 해석적 문화기술적 연구를 하였다. 뇌호흡 수련을 통해 수련자가 고유한 상호작용의 방식을 터득하고 체험을 향상한다는 점이 드러났다. 이 연구를 통해 수련자가 교육활동의 주체가 되어 고유한 관계체험과 수련체험을 향상하며, 자신과 세상을 뇌호흡의 관점에서 새롭게 이해하고 해석하는 능력을 얻으며, 뇌호흡 수련 과정은 인간성의 향상 과정이자 교육적 의미를 가지는 과정임을 알게 되었다. The purpose of this qualitative inquiry is to understand the distinctive features of educational activity through the teaching-learning process of brain respiration. This inquiry is based on the theory that the meaning of education is not predetermined by environmental conditions. Instead, education occurs when teachers and learners interact and cooperate as a whole and share in the "joy of teaching" and the "joy of learning." The interpretative ethnographic study was conducted to understand the meaning of the trainer-the trainee interaction and to find out the mechanism and the process which make the interaction more educative. The age of the trainees was restricted from six to seventeen years old. The informants group was separated into an "experts group" and a "beginners group." The unique three features of brain respiration practice were found. These are: ‘Becoming subject’, ‘Direct experience’ and ‘Transformative learning.’

        임부의 기체조 산전프로그램 경험

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the types of experiences of the program of prenatal Qi exercise with pregnant women. The research design was a Q-Methodological Approach. Twenty eight selected Q-statements from 28 subjects were classified into a shape of normal distribution using a 7 point scale. The collected data was analyzed using a QUANL PC program. Three types of experiences of Qi exercise with pregnant women were identified. Type Ⅰis the interaction effect - prenatal care type. Type Ⅱ is the physical aid - health assistant type. Type Ⅲ is the alternative therapy - psychical cure type. This study recommended for nurses to listen and watch the pregnant women types of using Qi exercise and find out how to educate the women about the proper and safe way to take the Qi exercise.         Clinical Nurses' Resilience Skills for Surviving in a Hospital Setting: A Q-methodology Study

        Purpose: Resilience relates to coping with stressful hospital environment. The purpose of this study was to identify the types of resilience skills of clinical nurses for surviving in a hospital setting. Methods: The Q methodology was used as it helps analyze the participants' subjective perspective on each item. Participants were 32 registered nurses who sorted 38 selected Q statements that were then plotted on a normal distribution using a 9-point scale. The subjective perspectives on the resilience of clinical nurses were analyzed using the PC-QUANAL program. Results: This study revealed four types of resilience in clinical nurses, accounting for 65.2% of the variance: Type I: Reality-harmonic type; Type II: Own will type; Type III: Professionalism-oriented type; and Type IV: Relation-oriented type. Conclusion: The present findings suggest the need to develop interventions for improving clinical nurses' resilience according to their types. Following further investigation of nurses' resilience, it may be necessary for organizations to develop several resilience strategies.

        학력격차에 대한 학교수준 방과후학교 참여율의 효과 분석 : 초등 교과방과후를 중심으로

        본 연구는 방과후학교 정책 목표 중 하나인 교육복지에 초점을 두고 개인배경에 따른 학력격차를 감소시키는 데 초등학교 교과방과후가 효과가 있는지를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 2010년 국가수준 학업성취도 초등학교 전수자료를 활용하여 먼저 교과방과후 참여 학생 및 학교수준 교과방과후 참여율이 높은 학교의 특성을 분석하고, 학생수준에서의 교과방과후 참여 여부나 학교수준의 교과방과후 참여율이 교과별 성취수준과 어떤 관계에 있는지 분석하고, 마지막으로 학교수준 교과방과후 참여율이 가정배경에 따른 학력격차와 어떤 관계를 가지는지 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 교과방과후에 참여하는 학생의 가정 배경이 대체적으로 열악하였고, 학교수준 교과방과후 참여율이 높은 학교의 이전성취수준이나 학교풍토가 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 교과방과후에 참여하는 학생이 참여하지 않은 학생에 비하여, 한부모가정 학생이 양부모가정 학생과 비교하여, 그리고 사교육에 참여하지 않는 학생이 사교육에 참여하는 학생에 비하여 교과별로 보통수준 이상의 성취를 보일 승산이 더 낮았다. 그러나 학교수준에서는 방과후학교 참여율이 높은 학교의 경우 전반적으로 보통 이상의 성취수준을 보이는 학생이 비율이 높았고, 한부모가정 여부와 사교육여부에 따라 발생하는 학업성취수준 격차가 작은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 방과후학교에 대한 학생들의 수요를 보다 명확히 파악하여 교육프로그램을 제공하는 등 학교수준에서 방과후학교의 내실 있는 운영을 통해 학교수준 방과후학교 참여율을 제고하고, 이를 바탕으로 전반적인 학업성취 수준 향상과 교육복지 차원에 대한 긍정적인 성과를 이끌어내도록 교육정책이 시행될 필요가 있다. This study focused on students' participation in elementary subject-based after-school programs and school-level participation rate, and evaluated the effectiveness of after-school programs on the reduction of achievement gaps by student family backgrounds and private tutoring. Data from the National Assessment of Educational Achievement for all 6th graders in Korea were analyzed for this study. The results show students in subject-based after-school programs, who had lower family backgrounds, had lower chance to achieve proficiency or above levels. Also, students with single parent and students without private tutoring had lower chance to achieve proficient or above levels compared to their counterparts. At the school level, however, students attending the schools with high participation rates of after-school program had higher odds to show proficient or above levels. Finally, the achievement gaps due to family background and private tutoring were smaller in schools with high participation rates of subject-based after-school programs. It is concluded that by insuring substantiality of after-school programs and increasing participation rates, it is possible to raise the overall achievement levels and close the achievement gap across student groups.

        초등교사의 다문화 교수효능감에 대한영향요인 탐색

        The purpose of this study is to explore factors affecting the multicultural teaching efficacy of elementary school teachers using OECD TALIS 2018 elementary data. For this, various variables related to multicultural teaching efficacy were derived through the analysis of prior studies, categorized into characteristics of teachers before employment, job-related experiences, and school characteristics, and the relationship was analyzed through correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The main results are as follows: factors influencing the multicultural teaching efficacy of elementary school teachers were multicultural teacher training, multicultural professional development, and application of multicultural curriculum. In addition, teachers' gender, teaching experience, teaching choice motivation, class atmosphere, and teacher cooperation were also significantly related to the outcome. These results suggest that a curriculum related to multicultural education should be included in teacher training course, and multicultural professional development should be provided to teachers, and multicultural curriculum should be operated at the school level.

        미국이민 한국인의 문화변용 스트레스와 일상생활 스트레스정도에 관한 연구

        Purpose: This study was a descriptive study to assess the relationships between acculturative stress and current perception of stress in Korean immigrants. Methods: The subjects consisted of 154 community-dwelling Korean immigrant living in the USA. Data collection was conducted through the use of questionnaires. The instruments for this study were Acculturative stress (12 items), The Global Assessment of Recent Scale(8 items). The collected data were analysed using SPSS PC 12.0 Programme for Frequency, Percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test and Pearson's correlation coefficient according to the purpose of this study. Results: 1) The average item score for acculturative stress was 17.17. The average item score for current perception of stress was 26.56. 2) Acculturative stress was positively related to current perception of stress (r=.360, p<.01). 3) Acculturative stress was significantly different according to educational level (F=2.709, p=.047), occupation (F=16.202, p=.000), perceived income comfort level (F=26.666, p=.000), and type of residence (F=2.672, p=.050). The Current perception of stress was significantly different according to age (F=7.380, p=.000), marital status (F=5.354, p=.006), perceived income comfort level (F=12.738, p=.000), and type of residence(F=4.207, p=.007). Conclusion: Theses findings help to clarify relationships between acculturative stress and current perception of stress in Korean immigrants. Therefore, the result of study provide clues for the quality of life of Korean immigrants.
