디지털 무역 규범의 최근 동향과 개인정보보호법에 관한 시사점에 대한 연구

Purpose– This study looks at recent trends in the establishment of the rules of the WTO multilateral agreements and regional trade agreements to promote digital trade, In particular investigate the status of countries’ regulations regarding the protection of personal information containing sensitive information. Design/methodology/approach–The study first looked at the digital trade rules of multilateral organizations and regional trade agreements, and then takes a deep look into the regulations on privacy protection related to digital trade in the United States, Europe, and Korea. Findings–First, as WTO multilateral agreements fail to be negotiated, regional trade agreements are actively establishing regulations for digital trade. Second, EU General Data Protection Regulation has the most forward-looking regulation and is expected to impact world standards with regulations on free data movement while ehacing privacy levels. Third, In relation to the Personal Protection Act, Korea is striving to protect personal information through the revesion of the Data 3 Act, while at the same time activating digital transatios by moving data freely. Research implications or Originality– In digital trade, the activation of data is important, but personal information must be protected from the risks that may arise. To this end, multilateral trade rules and changes in the United States should be monitored, and continuous discussions with experts in various fields will be necessary for timely response.
Mega-FTA 아래 무역기술장벽(TBT) 현황과 우리나라 대응 방안에 대한 고찰

Since the launch of the GATT/WTO, tariff barriers have been lowered due to the flow of free trade, but non-tariff measures have increased relatively. Non-tariff measures act as a factor that makes Korea’s exports difficult, of which Technical Barrier to Trade (TBT) account for a large part. This study aims to examine trends in TBT, WTO TBT regulations, and Mega-FTA’s TBT regulations, and how Koreas countermeasures against TBT are being implemented. Among non-tariff measures, TBT refers to the application of discriminatory technical regulations, standards, and conformity evaluations to imported goods, acting as an unnecessary obstacle to inter-country trade. Under the WTO TBT regulations, each country requires WTO member countries to be notified if the enactment or amendment of technical regulations, standards, and suitability evaluation procedures has a significant impact on trade, and the number of notifications is increasing every year. In addition, Specific Trades Concerns (STCs) that discuss whether they negatively affect exports are similarly increasing. Korea has established the ‘TBT Central Secretariat’ and is responding by operating the ‘TBT General Support Center’. However, the Mega-FTA regulations based on the WTO TBT regulations present stronger regulations for TBT. Following RCEP, it is time for Korea, which is considering joining the CPTPP, to make active efforts to meet the intensified Mega-FTA regulations while responding to increasing technology regulations.
금강수계의 실시간자동측정 자료를 이용한 수질환경인자 간의 상관관계 분석

In this study, correlations between seasons and parameters in the Geum River, South Korea, were examined using the hourly measurement data of water quality parameters by a real-time, automatic water-quality monitoring station. Correlations between measures of water quality provided by this station exhibited the same trends as those acquired by manual measurements; in both cases, water temperature showed high correlations with DO and pH. Inflow-pollution-source items (TOC, TP) showed positive correlations with, and were much influenced by, water temperature and precipitation. These two parameters had negative correlations with TN, which acts as a growth-limiting factor for algae. Linear regression analysis revealed that water temperature could be used to explain variations in DO (86.0%), pH (77.4%), TOC (51.7%), TN (39.6%), and TP (34.5%), at most. DO and TOC could explain variations in pH (90.8%) and TP (34.5%), respectively. The daily cycles of change in water temperature, DO, and pH showed trends similar to that of air temperature. Generally, they were highest from 13:00 to 16:00 hours, and lowest from 05:00 to 07:00 hours. The daily differences (largest in summer and smallest in winter) were most apparent in Bonghwangcheon, which is a tributary of the Geum River.
간경변증 환자에서 고암모니아혈증과 Helicobacter pylori의 연관성

Background/Aims: We examined the correlation between hyperammonemia and gastric Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection in patients with liver cirrhosis. Methods: We studied 31 patients with liver cirrhosis and 34 normal controls. However, the cirrhotic group did not include patients who had a bleeding tendency or hepatic encephalopathy. We performed gastroscopy, obtained gastric juice (3-4 mL) and antral biopsy specimens, and examined the ammonia levels of blood and gastric juice in each group. Results: In the cirrhotic group, there was no difference in blood ammonia levels between the H. pylori- positive (HP+) and negative (HP-) groups. However, the ammonia levels of gastric juice in the HP+ group showed a tendency to be higher than those in the HP- group (p=0.0773). Child-Pugh scores in the HP+ group were significantly lower than those in the HPQ group (p= 0.0309). By multiple regression analysis, factors affecting the ammonia levels of blood were determined. They were age (coefficient 1.2462, p=0.0256) in the control group (r2=0.2821), and ammonia levels of gastric juice (coefficient 0.007417, p=0.0322) in the cirrhotic group (r2=0.3127). On the other hand, Child- Pugh scores (coefficient 12.508122, p=0.0883) indicated a slight correlation with the blood ammonia levels in the cirrhotic group. Conclusions: It seems that gastric H. pylori infection is associated with hyperammonia in patients with liver cirrhosis.

A glomus tumor is a benign neoplasm arising from the neuromyoarterial glomus body, a specialized arteriovenous communication. It functions as a temperature regulator, predominantly in the skin. The glomus tumor occurs rarely in the stomach. The common presenting symptoms are upper gastrointestinal bleeding, epigastric discomfort, nausea, and vomiting. This benign tumor is seen as an intramural mass and is most frequently located in the gastric antrum. Because of its highly cellular nature, the frozen section is often misinterpreted as malignant, and an unduly extensive resection is sometimes performed. A 57-year-old woman was recently admitted due to hematemesis and melena for one day. A gastrofibroscopy was performed and a 3 4 cm sized submucosal mass with central ulceration was found on the anterior wall of the antrum. Fresh blood clots were noted on the ulcer base. Due to recurrent bleeding, a hemigastrectomy was performed. Pathologic findings, including immunoreactivity to α-smooth muscle actin and vimntin, was consistent with a glomus tumor of the stomach.
