본 논문에서는 바이오인식 시스템에 있어서, 바이오인식 정보와 개인식별 정보가 결합되어 운영되는 상황에서 바이오인식 정보 제공자의 개인정보를 보호 할 수 있는 방안에 대해서 다룬다. 암호를 이용한 개인인증과 같은 단순한 개인인증 방법의 단점으로 지적되어온 타인에 의한 도용 등의 단점을 극복하고자, 개인마다 타고난 신체적ㆍ행동적 특성을 이용하는 바이오인식시스템은 바이오인식 정보자체가 또 다른 개인정보의 하나이며, 더욱이 이들 정보가 개인을 식별할 수 있는 다른 정보들과 결합하여 사용될 경우, 특정개인을 식별할 수 있는 유일식별자로 사용될 수 있는 관계로 이들의 생성, 저장, 전송에 있어서 안정적인 보호 수단이 요구 되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이와 관련된 X9.84 표준을 확장하여 바이오인식 정보와 결합되어 사용되는 개인식별 정보를 포함하여 이들의 저장과 이송에 있어서, 기밀성과 무결성을 보장할 수 있도록 ASN.1으로 표현되는 표준 포맷을 정의하고 이를 구현함으로서 그 유용성을 보였다. This paper describes how to protect the personal information of a biometric reference provider wherein biometric reference and personally identifiable information are bounded in a biometric system. To overcome the shortcomings of the simple personal authentication method using a password, such as identify theft, a biometric system that utilizes physical and behavioral characteristics of each person is usually adopted. In the biometric system, the biometric information itself is personal information, and it can be used as an unique identifier that can identify a particular individual when combining with the other information. As a result, secure protection methods are required for generating, storing, and transmitting biometric information. Considering these issues, this paper proposes a method for ensuring confidentiality and integrity in storing and transferring personally identifiable information that is used in conjunction with biometric information, by extending the related X9.84 standard. This paper also outlines the usefulness of the proposition by defining a standard format represented by ASN.1, and implementing it.
OMC-2010 추출물이 마우스의 비장세포 cytokine 생성에 미치는 영향

Objective : This study was performed to estimate the effects of OMC-2010 extract on cytokine production in mouse spleen cells. Methods : Mouse spleen cells were pre-treated with ethanol and water extract of OMC-2010 for 1 h, then stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS, 1 μg/ml) for 48 h. Then the cells were harvested for real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction to detect cytokines. Results : OMC-2010 ethanol extract significantly inhibited the LPS-induced interleukin (IL)-1beta, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha and IL-5 mRNA expressions, but not shown such changes in IL-6, IL-4, IL-13. OMC-2010 water extract significantly inhibited the LPS-induced TNF-alpha, and IL-5 mRNA expressions, but not shown such changes in IL-1beta, IL-6, IL-4, IL-13. Conclusions : Theses results could suggest that both ethanol and water OMC-2010 extract could inhibit the TNF-alpha and IL-5 mRNA expression.

Mixing between independent fluids is of significant importance in microfluidics applications. However, efficient mixing is hampered by comparatively slow molecular diffusion process at this micro-scale. In the present study, in order to enhance the mixing efficiency, the configuration of obstacles in the Y-channel micromixer is optimized using an approximate optimization technique. Before optimization, mixing characteristics is analyzed by an unstructured grid CFD simulation. The meta model of the mixer configurations is proposed using the analysis method and neural network theory. Sequential Quadratic Programming(SQP) method is applied to the optimization procedure. Through these procedures, the parameters of configuration such as the radii and locations of obstacles are optimized.
한국인 개방성 안구손상 환자에 적용한 수정 안외상점수의 유용성

Purpose: To modify the ocular trauma score (OTS) model by analyzing the clinical characteristics of Korean patients with open globe injury and to determine the availability of the modified OTS in predicting the final visual acuity. <br /> Methods: Among the prognostic factors in the original OTS, endophthalmitis and perforating injury were excluded, and wound location, vitreous hemorrhage, lens damage, and lid laceration were added to the modified OTS based on the data of 242 patients with open globe injury from January 2000 to September 2010. To determine the availability of the modified OTS, 29 patients from September 2010 to December 2011, not included in the previous data, were retrospectively reviewed, and the positive and negative predictive values for assessment of final visual acuity less than 0.02 were calculated by the original and modified OTS.<br /> Results: The modified OTS was applied to the previous data, and the positive predictive value was 75.3% and negative predictive value was 90.8%. By using the original OTS, the positive predictive value was 70.1% and negative predictive value was 89.8%. The values of the modified OTS was higher than those of the original OTS, but it was not statistically significant (p = 0.5956, p = 0.9370). When the modified OTS was applied to the new 29 patients, the positive and negative predictive values were 75.0% and 90.5%, respectively.<br /> Conclusions: The prognostic factors of the original OTS were modified based on the previous data and the positive and negative predictive values of final visual acuity by modified OTS were similar to those by the original OTS. The modified OTS would be useful in analyzing the patients with open globe injuries and could be used as a prognostic model for Korean patients.<br /> J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2013;54(12):1902-1906
