This paper presents the structural behavior of fire damaged RC column with polypropylene fiber. When high-strength concrete is exposed to high temperature, spalling is occurred then it leads to decrease the capacity of members. Polypropylene fiber is used to reduce the spalling of the specimens and the distinction in the behavior after fire is observed. For this study, specimens are subjected to the standard ISO 834 fire curve. Main experimental parameters were the ratio of the contained polypropylene fiber, heating time and type of loading. Reduction rate in residual strength and stiffness is observed for the mixing of these parameters.

There are many studies and test results in strengthening of reinforced concrete beams. These studies have suggested their own equation to estimate the strength of strengthened members. In this study, the proposed equations are evaluated to suggest more exact equations which can be applicable to real strengthened RC beams. Especially, in this paper, estimated the flexural capacity of strengthened reinforced concrete beams with carbon fiber sheet. In this study, it is concluded that the strength of CFS is used as 70% of the maximum strength in retrofitting reinforced concrete beams in evaluating flexural capacity on the basis of ultimate strength design method. There is a difference between Roberts equation and Amir equation about peeling stress.

In this study, the analysis result about the thickness of FRP, the change of strengthening length ratio, the kind of FRP and the change of beam size is as follows. The increase of flexural member strength is effective on the increase of ductility. The increase of the FRP strengthening ratio is not effective on the flexural capacity and strength but effective on the ductility. The increase of the FRP strengthening length is effective on the flexural capacity and strength. The carbon fiber sheet on FRP is the most effective on the stiffness and durability. The change of beam size on invariable strengthened ratio and reinforced ratio is a little strengthening effect as increasing beam size. That is, imposing flexural capacity as increasing height/width ratio of beam is more concrete than strengthening material.

이 연구는 오·폐수에 함유된 유기물을 제거하기 위하여 일반 시멘트 콘크리트에 비해 우수한 역학적 성질을 갖는 폴리머를 이용한 현무암 다공질 석재를 개발하고, 이에 대한 물리. 역학적 특성 및 정화성능을 실험적으로 구명한 것이다. 그 결과 다공질 소재이나 강도가 높고 적당한 단위체적중량을 갖기 때문에 설치 후 안정성을 확보할 수 있고, 정화성능은 나일론 여재에 비해 떨어지지 않으므로, 현장 설치 및 시공방법에 대한 연구가 이루어질 경우 실용화가 가능할 것으로 판단된다. The objectives of this study were to develop porous media for sewage treatment facility using basalt and to explore the possibility of replacing wall structures of sewage treatment plants improve the efficiency of sewage treatment. It was shown that the porous media developed by using basalt was not as efficient as existing media. However, it is expected that the polymer porous media can be economically applied to existing waste treatment plants and help improve sewage treatment efficiency.
