        The study on the factors affecting trade growth in modern biotech crops: An evidence from constant market share analysis

        This paper investigates the factors that have increased trade of GM soybean and GM corn between major export and import countries based on their trade performances, from 1996 (the first year the crops were cultivated commercially) to 2009, by conducting constant market share analysis (CMSA). According to the results of CMSA, the commodity composition effects are twisted, showing the negative (1996-2003) and positive (2003-2009) results in GM soybean trade, and vice versa in GM corn trade. However, in total, both increase in the exporting countries' competitiveness and demand expansion in importing countries led to trade growth of GM soybean and GM corn between the countries on a bilateral base except in a few cases. The reasons behind the increase seem to be a combination of the followings: cost-saving farming and productivity enhancement of GM crops led by GM technique, pro-biotech policies by the major exporting countries, social acceptance formed spontaneously within the importing countries and bounded social acceptance led by the international institutional context, Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety.       • 섬유 보수력 측정법을 통한 셀룰로오스 나노섬유의 특성 분석

        셀룰로오스 나노섬유의 나노섬유화 특성을 분석하는 방법은 일반적으로 전자현미경이나 원자 현미경을 통한 직접 관찰을 통해 분석한다. 하지만 이러한 방법을 사용하는 것은 현미경 관찰용 시료를 제작하는데 비용과 시간이 투자되며, 특히 셀룰로오스 나노섬유를 관찰하는데 많은 시간이 소요된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 기존 펄프 제지산업에 사용되는 섬유 보수력 측정법을 사용하여 셀룰로오스 나노섬유의 보수력을 측정하여 나노섬유화 정도를 측정하고자 하였다. 치환도에 따른 셀룰로오스 나노섬유의 보수력 측정 결과 치환도가 증가함에 따라 셀룰로오스 나노섬유의 보수력이 증가가 확인되었다. 셀룰로오스 나노섬유의 나노섬유화를 투과 전자현미경으로 확인한 결과 치환도가 낮을 때, 일부 나노섬유가 명확히 분리되지 않은 섬유가 확인 되었으며, 치환도가 증가함에 따라 나노섬유 분리가 대부분 일어난 것이 확인되었다.

      • 국제 전략적 제휴의 초기조건과 관리특성이 몰입 및 성과에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 국제 전략적 제휴의 생성단계에서 성공적인 제휴를 위한 요건 즉, 초기조건과 함께 제휴의 운영단계에서 파트너간의 제휴의 운영에 관한 관리적 노력이 전략적 제휴에 대한 파트너간의 몰입 및 이에 따른 제휴의 성과에 미치는 영향관계를 공변량구조모형을 이용하여 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 파트너간의 문화적 차이는 제휴에 대한 몰입수준을 낮게 하고 이를 통하여 제휴의 성과에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 조직적 양립성, 제휴의 전략적 중요성, 제휴에서 파트너간 의도의 명확성, 제휴에 대한 자원기여의 공평성, 제휴의 영향력의 변수들이 몰입에 대하여 직접적인 양의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이들 요인은 또한 몰입을 통하여 제휴의 성과에 긍정적으로 작용하였다. 또한 몰입은 제휴의 성과에 직접적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였다. Strategic alliance between firms is becoming an increasingly common way for firms to find and maintain competitive advantage. In many cases, however, the success rate of strategic alliance is lower than expected level. The objective of this paper is to examine the effect of initial condition and operational characteristics on commitment and performance in the international strategic alliances. We investigate the structural relationships among cultural distance, organizational compatability, strategic importance, clearness of intent, balance of contribution for alliance between the partners, power, commitment, performance. 98 international strategic alliance data were collected and analysed empirically. We can find that the cultural distance affect negatively on commitment and performance of alliance. And the increased level of other variables result in higher partner commitment and improve the performance except power.

        과학관 협력네트워크, 어떻게 운영해야 하는가? : Q방법론을 활용하여

        The purpose of this study was to diagnose the perception of the science museum operation and cooperation network of internal stakeholders in the domestic science museum operation, derive typification results, and seek ways to revitalize the cooperation network.For analysis, a subjective study, a qualitative research method, was conducted, and 23 P samples and 21 Q statements related to the perception of the operation of the science museum network were obtained. The secured Q statement was typed using the Qunal program based on the response results of the P sample.As a result of the analysis, four types were derived. <TypeⅠ> emphasized the collection of scientific objects, strengthening preservation functions, and strengthening the competitiveness of the science museum, so it was the 「Unique Function Type」, and <TypeII> emphasized the expansion of the budget of the science museum and networking with related organizations. 「Resource Expansion Type」, <Type Ⅲ> emphasized the development of scientific and cultural content and activation of creative foundation-linked projects, so it was the「Content Business Type」, <TypeⅣ> emphasized strengthening exhibition functions, so it was named 「Program Development Type」.This study used qualitative research methodology, which was a subjective study, so there were limits to generalization. Therefore, future research is expected to expand into generalizable empirical research and explore ways to operate and manage a sustainable cooperative network for science museums.

        옥수수 줄기를 원료로 제조한 소다 펄프의 특성

        Corn stalk is the lignocellulosic biomass, which remain as leftover after harvesting. To use the corn stalk as raw material for paper industry, soda pulping was applied. In chemical compositional analysis, extractive contents of corn stalk (45.1%) was higher than hardwood. With corn stalk pith, soda pulp yield was 25.3% at 10.6 Kappa number, but 39.5% yield with 14.8 Kappa number for corn stalk rind. Higher extractives content in pith is one of the reason for lower pulp yield than rind. Pith pulp fibers had higher fines content than rind pulp. Pith parenchyma cell was removed as fines during pulping or washing process, which caused the lower yield. To use the corn stalks as a raw material for paper making, de-pith process is essential for higher pulp yield and longer pulp length.
