        구리촉매를 이용한 글루코스의 열수탄화 및 특성 분석

        Recently, carbonaceous structures have drawn considerable attention owing to their electrochemical, mechanical, and thermal properties. Compared to conventional carbonization processes, hydrothermal carbonization has many merits, such as its relatively low processing temperature (below $400^{\circ}C$) and simple apparatus. In this study, hydrothermal carbonized structures were fabricated using a glucose solution of varying concentrations in the presence of a copper catalyst. The copper catalyst decreased the diameter of the hydrothermal-carbonized sphere. When the glucose concentration was low, the shape of the hydrothermal-carbonized material changed from spherical to planar.

        골형태분석법과 micro-CT를 이용한 골소주 특성에 대한 연구

        Purpose : The research was done to investigate the effectiveness of 2D bony morphometry and microstructure of micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) on the osteoporotic bony change. We performed the bone morphometric analysis of proximal femur in ovariectomized rabbits with BMD and micro-CT examination. Materials and Methods : Twenty-one female (Newzealand, about 16 weeks old, 2.9-3.4kg) rabbits were used. Three rabbits were sacrificed on the day when experiment began (Baseline). The remaining 18 rabbits were divided into two groups. One group was ovariectomized bilaterally (OVX) and the other animals were subjected to sham operation (Sham). Bone specimens were obtained from the right and left femur of sacrificed rabbits. At intervals of 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 months respectively, BMD tests were performed on the proximal femur by using PIXlmus 2 (GE Lunar Co. USA), 2-dimensional bone morphometric analysis by custome computer program and 2D/3D bone structure analysis by micro-CT (Skyscan 1072, Antwerpen, Belgium). Statistical analysis was carried out for the correlation between bone morphometry, micro-CT and BMD Result : BV/TV, Tb.Th, Tb.N of micro-CT parameters showed higher values in sham group than OVX group. N.Nd/Ar.RI, N.NdNd, N.NdTm, N. TmTm, PmB/Ar.RI, 3-D BoxSlope of 2D morphometric parameters showed higher values in Sham group than OVX group. The micro-CT parameters of Tb.Sp, Tb.N were statistically significant correlated with BMD respectively. Several 2D morphometric parameters were statistically significant correlated with BMD respectively. Conclusion : Several parameters of 2D bony morphometry and micro-CT showed effective aspects on the osteoporotic bony change.

      • 色彩環境이 肉鷄의 攝食行動에 미치는 影響

        An experiment was carried out to study the effect of environmental color on the eating behaviour in broiler chicks. A total of ninety broilers with average 350g of initial body weight were randomly assigned in the $3{\times}3$ randomized complete block design with 3 treatments(yellow, blue, red) and 10 birds per replication of various environmental color at walls, feeders and electric bulbs. The results obtained from these experiments are summarised as follows: 1. Feed Intake and average daily gain were significantly(P<0.05) increased by yellow colored environment. 2. Eating time and eating rate were significantly higher in the red colored than the other, indicating that yellow colored environment would maximize body weight gain and feed conversion for broiler chicks.

        Kodak Insight 치과필름의 특성에 관한 연구

        Purpose: To investigate the characteristics of the newly marketed, Insight dental X-ray film. Materials and Methods: Kodak Ultraspeed (DF-58), E-speed, Agfa Dentus M2, and Kodak Insight (IP-21) films were radiographed using a Trophy intra-oral radiographic machine. 10 step exposure times were prepared and each step exposure was monitored using a FH 40G (ESM Eberline Instruments) dosimeter for each of the 4 types of intra-oral film. All films were manually processed and the radiographic densities at 6 sites of each processed film were measured, and the characteristic curves of each of the 4 types intra-oral films were created utilizing these dosimetric data and radiographic densities, based on ISO 5779. The film contrast, speed, and base plus fog density of Insight film were compared with those of the 3 other films examined in this experiment. Results : E-speed film showed greatest average gradients followed by Insight film. E-speed and Ultraspeed film showed great average gradients at low density levels. Insight film showed the fastest speed followed by E-speed, Dentus M2 and Ultraspeed film. Dentus M2 film showed greatest base plus fog density level followed by Insight film. Conclusion : Kodak Insight film showed fastest film speed with comparable film contrast on characteristic curve.

        쥐의 뇌 미토콘드리아 알데히드탈수소효소의 정제와 특성에 관한 연구

        Rat brain mitochondrial aldehyde dehydrogenast isozymes were purified and characterized. There were at last three mitochondrial ALDH isozymes. The soluble ALDH-I was NAD(P)^+ dependent and it has a very low K_m (2.9×10^(-6)M) for succinic semialdehyde but it has a relatively high K_m (10^(-3)M level) for acetaldehyde. However, another soluble ALDH isozyme did not react with succinic semialdehyde. The membrane bound ALDH also has a very low K_m for succinic semialdehyde, however, its reaction rate was slow and its V_(max)/K_m value was only 1/25 that of the soluble ALDH-I. The soluble ALDH-I was significantly inhibited by acetaldehyde. It seemed that ALDH-I might be involved in GABA metabolism related with physiological disturbance caused by over consumption of ethanol.

        쥐의 뇌 미토콘드리아에서 알데히드탈수소효소(ALDH)를 추출, 정제하고 특성을 조사 하였다. 쥐의 뇌 미토콘드리아에는 적어도 3가지 isozyme이 존재한다. 가용성 ALDH-I은 $NAD(P)^+$ 의존성이며 succinic semialdehyde에 대한 $K_m(2.9{\times}10^{-6}M)$은 낮지만 acetaldehyde에 대한 $K_m$($10^{-3}M$ 수준)은 비교적 높다. 그러나 또 하나의 가용성 ALDH는 succinic semialdehyde와 반응하지 않았다. 막결합 ALDH도 succinic semialdehyde에 대한 $K_m$이 낮지만 반응속도가 느리고 그의 $V_{max}/K_m$는 가용성 ALDH-I의 1/25에 불과하였다. 또한 ALDH-I은 acetaldehyde에 의해 상당히 억제된다. 이와 같은 결과로 보아 ALDH-I는 GABA 대사에 관여하며 과음으로 인한 생리장해와 연관된다고 생각된다.       • 給餌器具의 色彩變化에 따른 産卵用 育成鷄의 行動形態에 미치는 影響

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of colors of feed-trough on the eating behaviour of pullets. A total of 64 12wks old pullets were assigned to a $4{\times}4$ Latin square design with 4 treatments(control, blue, yellow, red colored feed-troughs). The results of the study are summarized as follows: 1. Average daily gain and eed intake of the pullets were significantly(P<0.05) decreased with red color feed-troughs. 2. Feed conversion ratio appeared to be improved in the yellow color group compared to the others. 3. Total time spent for eating were not significantly different, among treatments.

        혼합 생균제가 열 스트레스에 노출된 산란계의 생산성, 계란품질, 면역반응 및 맹장 미생물에 미치는 효과

        This study was conducted to investigate the effects of probiotic mixture on fecal ammonia, caecal microorganism, immune response, egg quality and production in layer under heat stress (HS).A total of four hundred 50 week olds Hy-Line Brown layers were randomly divided into four groups of 100 heads each: C (control, room temperature 25℃), HS (heat stress 33℃), PM (HS plus probiotic mixture 500, 750 mg/kg of diets). Egg production, egg quality, spleen weight, blood IgG and lymphocyte concentrations were increased in the PM group compared to the HS group, while mortality, the heterophil:lymphocyte (H:L) ratio, and corticosterone levelswere significantly decreased. Lactobacillus was increased in the PM group compared to the HS group, but E. coli, coliform bacteria and aerobic bacteria were significantly reduced. Fecal ammonia production was significantly increased in the HS group compared to the PM group. In conclusion, the results of this study that these mixed probiotics can reduce the heat damage of the summer laying hens and can be an effective nutritional strategy to reduce odor generation from feces, and to improve egg quality and laying production through immune response and caecal microbial balance. 본 연구는 열 스트레스 (heat stress, HS)에 노출된 산란계에서 혼합 생균제의 급여가 생산 성, 계란품질, 면역반응, 맹장 미생물 및 분 암모니아에 미치는 효과를 조사하였다. 총 400마리의 50주령 Hy-Line brown 산란계를 무작위로 각각 100마리씩 4 그룹, C (대조군, 실온 25℃), HS (열 스트레스 33℃), HSP (HS 플러스 혼합 생균제 500, 750 mg/kg)로 배치하였다. 산란계의 생산성, 계란품질, 비장 무게, 혈액 IgG 및 lymphocyte 농도는 HSP 그룹에서 HS 그룹과 비교했을 때 증가하였고, 코르티 코스테론, heterophil과 lymphocyte의 비율 (H:L) 및 폐사율은 유의하게 낮았다. Lactobacillus는 HSP 그룹에서 HS 그룹과 비교했을 때 증가하였으나 Escherichiacoli (E. coli), coliform bacteria 및 aerobic bacteria는 유의하게 낮았다. 분에서 암모니아 발생은 HS 그룹이 HSP 그룹에 비해서 유의하게 증가하 였다. 결론적으로, 이러한 혼합 생균제가 여름철 산란계의 더위 피해를 방해주고 면역반응, 맹장 미생물 균형을 경유하여 생산성, 계란품질 및 계분으로부터 악취 발생을 줄이는 데 효율적인 영양전략이 될 수있음을 나타낸다.
