We develop a numerical method for solving the radiation hydrodynamic equations in one-dimensional spherical coordinates. The present method is validated through simulations of shock tube, thermal radiative diffusion and point explosion problems. The transient growth of the fireball is investigated by varying explosion yields. The present study clearly captures well-known breakaway phenomena related to the shock separation between pressure waves and thermal shock front. The fireball radius at the breakaway point is roughly increased by the yield to power of 0.4.

Artificial neuromorphic devices are considered the key component in realizing energy-efficient and brain-inspired computing systems. For the artificial neuromorphic devices, various material candidates and device architectures have been reported, including two-dimensional materials, metal-oxide semiconductors, organic semiconductors, and halide perovskite materials. In addition to conventional electrical neuromorphic devices, optoelectronic neuromorphic devices, which operate under a light stimulus, have received significant interest due to their potential advantages such as low power consumption, parallel processing, and high bandwidth. This paper describes a transformerless static synchronous campensator (STATCOM) system based on cascade H-bridge multilevel inverter with star configuration. It is designed not only for the dynamic and continuous compensation of the reactive power but also for the improvement of power quality of existing wind power plant. Especially, when the induction generator of wind turbine is directly connected to the grid, reactive power are occurred by exiting current. so a reactive power compensation system based on the cascade H-bridge multilevel STATCOM is proposed because the output power quality and controllability of reactive power are required by grid code in many different countries. Using various The proposed reactive power control strategy using a STATCOM is compared with the conventional scheme using fixed-size of capacitor bank through various simulation results.

This paper describes the performance characteristics of flow and structure in the post-chamber and nozzle. Using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technique, the stress and compressible flow fields in the downstream of the post chamber and nozzle were numerically calculated. Besides, the stress characteristics at the wall of post-chamber and nozzle were investigated under different thickness (2mm, 5mm and 10mm) of the nozzle wall. The stress pattern demonstrates that the strength of nozzle wall having 10mm is safer than that of 5mm or 2mm according to von Mises stress irrespective to the pressure field

Due to global warming, the need to secure an alternative resource has become more important nationally. Due to the high tidal range of up to 9.7m on the west coast of Korea, numerous tidal current projects are being planned and constructed. The rotor, which initially converts the energy, is a very important component because it affects the efficiency of the entire system, and its performance is determined by various design variables. In this paper, a design guideline of current generating HAT rotor and acceptable field rotor in offshore environment is proposed. To design HAT rotor model, wind mill rotor design principles and turbine theories were applied based on a field HAT rotor experimental data. To verify the compatibility of the rotor design method and to analyze the properties of design factors, 3D CFD model was designed and analysed by ANSYS CFX. The analysis results and findings are summarized in the paper.
