Erythropoietin is hematopoietic agent that principally influences erythropoiesis. In this research, we investigated the drug use through chart reviewing of Korea University Medical Center Anam Hospital's patients and used "Erythropoietin drug use evaluation criteria" of American Society Hospital Pharmacy. The results are as follows, 59 cases (100%) of testees met with the criteria for the justification of use. As to critical indication, 52.5% of patients with hypertention begin with the situation of modest blood pressure. Initial dosage of erythropoietin was proved to be appropriate for 74.6% of patients. The main complication is blood pressure increasing which was found in 29 testees (49.2%), 15 patients (51.7%) of them reduced erythropoietin dosage or discontinued until blood pressure was controlled. As to outcome measures, testees whose hematocrit went back to 30-33% was only 3 cases (6.1%), and 31 testees (52.5%) increased their red blood cell or hemoglobin so that they decreased need for transfusions. In this research, we could conclude that, in order to supply erythropoietin enough to keep hematocrit at 30-33%, the economic supports to patients with chronic renal failure by Korean government should be enlarged.

자폐스펙트럼장애 영유아의 의사소통 촉진을 위한 부모주도 중재 앱 개발 및 사용성 평가

본 연구는 자폐스렉트럼장애 영유아의 의사소통 촉진을 위하여 부모 및 양육자가 가정에서 아동을 지원할 수 있는 부모주도 중재 프로그램을 앱으로 개발하여, 앱의 사용성을 용의성과 교육적 가치(적합성), 흥미성, 그리고 상호작용성의 측면에서 확인하였다. 자폐스펙트럼장애 영유아의 의사소통 촉진을 위하여, 언어발달 특성과 촉진 방법에 대한 정보 제공, 그리고 아동의 의사소통을 기록하는 형식으로 앱 콘텐츠를 구성하였다. 개발된 콘텐츠는 5인의 전문가에게 타당도를 검증 받았으며, 타당도 내용을 반영하여 수정한 뒤 앱으로 개발하였다. 앱의 사용성 평가를 위해 언어치료사 10명과 자폐 영유아의 보호자 8명이 연구에 참여하였고, 5점 척도의 평가 설문지를 통해 사용성을 평가하였다. 사용성 평가 결과, 전반적으로 그렇다(평균 4.2점)라고 평가하였고, 사용의 용이성에서 상대적으로 높이 평가 받았으며(언어치료사 평균 4.44±0.63 ; 보호자 평균 4.5±0.67), 흥미성에서 상대적으로 낮게 평가 받았다(언어치료사 평균 3.74±0.68 ; 보호자 평균 3.78±0.69). 평가 결과를 바탕으로 앱의 개선점과 시사점, 그리고 앱을 활용하여 진행할 후속 연구에 대하여 논의하였다.

This study is to develop a parent implemented intervention program application for communication facilitation of young children with autism spectrum disorder, and to evaluate the usability of the application. The application is consisted of two subcategories: one is for the information on characteristics of communication development of typically developing children and ASD children and of facilitation methods for communication development. The other category is for recordings of children’s communication in real life in the form of a daily-note. The developed content was tested for validity by 5 experts, and the content was modified to reflect the results and then developed as an app. To evaluate the usability of the app, 10 speech-language therapists and 8 parents of young autistic children participated in the study, and usability was evaluated the usability on a five-point scale. As a result of the usability testing, it was rated as generally yes (mean 4.2), relatively high in terms of ease of use (4.44±0.63 for speech language therapists; 4.5±0.67 for caregivers), and relatively low in interest. (3.74±0.68 for speech-language therapists; 3.78±0.697 for caregivers). Finally, suggestions for the improvements of the app, practical implications, and future research were discussed.
