In this paper, an ECU-in-the-loop simulation system is constructed in order to design semi-active suspension controller and verify the performance of that. This system consists of a real-time vehicle simulation model based on multi-body dynamic formulation, in arm type suspension unit model, real-time simulation hardware where the simulation model is downloaded, and prototype ECU hardware and software which adopt the skyhook control algorithm to improve the vehicle motion especially in driving. Real-time hardware-in-the-loop simulation results show the control functions in ECU has a proper performance.<br/>

Daewoo fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle simulator is developed for the performance prediction and development of the vehicle control strategies. This simulator including the fuel cell model, battery model and drivetrain model enables to simulate the vehicle performance such as fuel consumption. Using simulator, we introduce and compare two control strategies to manage the fuel cell system, battery and drivetrain: one controls the fuel cell system's ON/OFF and the other controls the fuel cell system's ON/OFF and power output.

This paper describes the real time simulation environment in order to develop and verify the power control algorithm for a hybrid fuel cell vehicle. All power systems involving VCU(vehicle control unit) are applied as a real hardware. On the other hand, the driver model and the longitudinal vehicle dynamics model are applied as a software. The driving load of vehicle obtained from the longitudinal dynamics is implemented by dynamometer.<br/> For carrying out Hardware-in-the-loop simulation test, the standard driving cycle applies FUDS(Federal Urban Driving Schedule) cycle and the power control algorithm of fuel cell system applies thermostat type and power follower type. From that, the fuel economy of both 10kw fuel cell and 25kw fuel cell is compared.

This paper discusses the dynamic parameter analysis of In-arm type hydro-pneumatic Suspension Unit (lSU) and simulation of dynamic behavior of the tracked vehicle to which the ISU will be applied. The dynamic characteristics of the ISU were found through the multi body dynamic analysis of the composing parts. The nonlinear properties of the high pressure nitrogen spring and fluid damper were considered in the analysis. On the basis of the dynamic parameters of the ISU, 2 dimensional model of the tracked vehicle system was developed and its dynamic behaviors were simulated. The multi-body dynamic analysis of the vehicle systems was also performed by DADS and the results show good agreement to those of the 2 dimensional model analysis.
