In these days, carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) has been widely used for retrofitting and/or strengthening structural elements in structure. However, there are not enough test data to predict the long-term performance of the retrofitted structures exposed to weathering. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of freeze-thawing on the shear behavior of reinforced concrete(RC) beams strengthened in shear with carbon fiber sheet and plate. Six small-scale RC beams (100 mm × 100 mm × 400 mm) were strengthened with CFRP in shear, subjected to up to 240 cycles freeze-thawing from -18~4℃, and tested to failure in four-point bending. The test data also indicated that no significant damage to carbon fiber sheet and plate strengthened concrete beams had occurred because of 240 cycles freeze-thawing.
경구노출을 통한 어린이용품 중 중금속류 노출 및 위해성 평가

In this study, we evaluate the levels of 6 heavy metals (barium, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, and nickel) in domestically distributed children`s products. We particularly focus on estimating the risk of oral exposure caused by the sucking behavior of 6-month and older infants. Our research shows that the levels of cadmium and lead in paint-coated toy products, relative accessories, and picture books exceeds domestic safety standards. Concentration of cadmium and lead is highest in the case of paint-coated toy products and accessories. The highest concentrations of cadmium, chromium, copper, and lead are observed in clay toys as the result of transferred amount due to the sucking action. Risk evaluation of direct ingestion of heavy metals shows the possibility of adverse effects caused by cadmium, lead, and nickel in accessories. In case of nondiets, the risk of oral toxicity was evaluated as being hazardous from cadmium and copper in clay toys. On comparing domestic and overseas regulatory standards, it was found that some substances exceeded the recommended standards. Most of these products are unauthorized products and their production must be regulated. This study can be used to reference data for prevention of child health hazards through the assessment of potential hazard level of heavy metals in child products.
수리학적 체류시간 및 암모니아성 질소 농도가 침출수의 생물학적 처리에 미치는 영향

The treatment of leachate from solid wastes landfill is generally difficult because it contains high concentrations of organics, ammonia nitrogen and ionic materials. Experiments were conducted to characterize the leachate generated from Kimpo Landfill Site and to investigate the effects of hydraulic retention time and ammonia nitrogen concentration on the efficiency of the leachate treatment system consisted of anaerobic digestion and extended aeration processes. The leachate was characterized for three months after eighteen months of landfill operations, and CODcr, COD_(mn), BOD, TDS, and NH₄^+ -N were stable with the average values of 3,960㎎/ℓ, 920㎎/ℓ, 3,430㎎/ℓ, 14,230㎎/ℓ, and 1,090㎎/ℓ, respectively. For anaerobic digestion of the leachate, the hydraulic retention time was found to be a critical factor for the operation, and should be maintained longer than 20 days without significant changes in flow rate. The high concentrations of NH₄^+-N and ionic materials in the leachate appeared not to significantly affect the treatment efficiency. However, for the extended aeration process which receives the anaerobic digester effluent, the hydraulic retention time appeared not to affect the organic removal efficiency. Effects of the high concentrations of NH₄^+-N and ionic materials on extended aeration process were negligible over a long term, but a longer adaptation period was required with those compounds.
딥러닝과 유클리드 거리 측정을 이용한 영상 물체별 자동 위치 분석

본 논문에서 우리는 딥러닝 기술과 유클리드 거리 측정 방법을 이용하여 실시간으로 영상 물체 간의 자동 거리를 측정하고 그 관계를 분석하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 기술은 실시간으로 딥러닝 기술과 유클리드 거리 측정 방법을 사용하여 카메라 비디오에서 실시간으로 정지 및 이동하는 물체간의 모든 근접 관계 자동으로 정렬할 수 있다. 또한 얼굴 인식기와 물체간 거리측정기를 통합하여 실시간으로 인식된 사람과 물체와의 가까운 정도를 실시간으로 정렬하고 분석할 수 있다. 이와 같이 인식된 사람과 가까운 물체들간의 위치 관계를 분석함으로써 인식된 사람이 자주 접하는 물체 빈도수, 동선을 분석할 수 있고 분석된 정보는 사람을 추적할 때 주변 통신이 가능한 물체를 자동으로 제어하는 데 응용할 수 있다. 본 논문은 다음과 같이 구성된다. 1장에서는 사람과 주변 물체와의 위치 관계 분석 연구 필요성에 대해 살펴보고 2장에서는 제안한 영상 물체별 자동 위치분석기의 수행 절차와 방법에 대해 알아본다. 3장에서는 2장에서 제안한 영상 물체별 자동 위치 정렬기와 사람 인식기를 통합한 영상 물체별 자동 위치 분석기의 구현 및 실험 결과를 설명한다. 마지막 4장에서는 딥러닝과 유클리드 거리 측정을 이용한 영상 물체별 자동 위치 분석기의 특징과 활용 계획으로 결론 맺고자 한다.
Fabrication and Characterizations of CIGS Powder Evaporated Thin Films

We have fabricated CIGS thin film absorber layers by the evaporation of CIGS powders which were synthesized by solutions with different atomic ratio compositions. We found that the polycrystalline structural properties and optical properties of the deposited CIGS thin films were strongly dependent on the CIGS powder synthesis solution compositions. For three different solution compositions, Cu:In:Ga:Se= 4:3:1:8, 8:3:1:8, 12:3:1,8, the deposited thin film crystalline structures were varied form InSe crystalline structure to CIGS chalcopyrite structures. Our results showed that CIGS powder evaporation is potential for the one step fabrication process for CIGS thin film absorber layer deposition.
국내 하천에서 분리된 그람 음성 Enterobacteriacaea의 항생제 다제내성

Enterobacteriaceae에 속하는 세균들은 보건학적 문제를 발생시키기도 하며 항생제 내성 병원균의 발생으로 인하여 자연환경 중의 항생제 내성균에 분포에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 따라서 배양법을 이용하여 국내 5개의 하천시료로 부터 그람 음성 Enterobacteriaceae의 종 다양성을 조사하였으며 분리된 세균에 대한 다제내성을 항생제디스크 확산법으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 분리된 그람 음성 Enterobacteriaceae 는 Citrobacter, Enterobacter, Escherichia, Klebsiella, Kluyvera, Pantoea, Plesiomonas, Raoultella, Shigella로 동정되었으며 49%가 Enterobacter로서 우점종으로 분석되었다. 또한 이들 세균들의 78.3%가 조사된 13종의 항생제 중에서 7종 이상에 내성을 보였으며 이것은 국내 자연하천환경에 높은 비율의 다제내성균이 서식한다는 것을 제시한다. Enterobacteriaceae is one of the major families responsible for public health threats. Due to the emergence of pathogens with antibiotic resistance, great concern has been raised regarding the prevalence of antibiotic resistant bacteria in natural environments. Therefore, the diversity of Gram negative Enterobacteriaceae was investigated in water samples collected from five streams in Korea using the cultivation method. Profiling of multi-drug resistance was conducted with isolates via disk diffusion assay. The results indicated that the Gram negative Enterobacteriaceae consisted of the following genus; Citrobacter, Enterobacter, Escherichia, Klebsiella, Kluyvera, Pantoea, Plesiomonas, Raoultella, Shigella and Enterobacter. These latter strains represented 49% of identified isolates. In addition, 78.3% of the identified genus exhibited resistance against more than seven out of thirteen tested antibiotics, suggesting a high prevalence of multi-drug resistant bacteria in natural environments.
