A system for detecting underwater target demands a high operational reliability because of the difficulty of maintenance and repair when the system has a few troubles during long operating period. Therefore, in this paper, we have proposed a signal transport system with a high reliability in an underwater sensor array system composed of magnetic and acoustic sensors. In this system, the nodes for signal transport are connected dually each other with single-hop construction and a magnetic sensor is connected to a couple of neighboring nodes. This enables the output signal to transport from a node to the next node and the next but one node. Also, the signal from a magnetic sensor can be transported to two nodes at the same time. Thus, the system with this construction makes possible to transport sensor data to another node which works normally when a transport node or cable have some faults and will operate normally although it happens some problems in a few signal transport nodes and connection cables.
Sloshing해석을 통한 MPS입자법의 해석 정확도 검증

Recently, as the computational performance has been dramatically improved by using the GPU(Graphics Processing Unit) device, the use of a particle method such as MPS(Moving Particle Simulation) is increasing more and more. In particular, MPS method has many advantages such as fast simulation and mass conservation. But, until now, there are not enough validation models for the MPS method. As a result, in order to validate the accuracy of the MPS method, this study compared the numerical results with experimental results for the rectangular tank sloshing problem. In this validation, we compared the results of fluid surface movement and fluid pressure. For the tested sloshing model, the results of MPS method show good agreement with the classical CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) method.

Flux-gate magnetometer was developed in 1930's, and it has been widely used for the low magnetic field measurements. In this work, we have employed amorphous ribbon 2714A produced by Allied Chem. Co. as sensor core material. To develop low noise, low power consumption, and high reliability flux-gate magnetometer, we have measured ac magnetic properties depending on the annealing conditions. As quenched state amorphous core shows high noise level and ac magnetic properties were changed under the condition of accelerated aging test, but amorphous ribbon, which was annealed under 350℃ during 1 hour, shows low noise level of 0.1 nT in the frequency range of dc~10 ㎐ which was 10 times better than the as quenched amorphous ribbon. Under accelerated aging test, ac magnetic properties such as squareness and coercivity of the annealed samples show higher reliability and approached to a certain limiting value as exponential function. We can see that high reliability and low noise flux-gate magnetometer could be developed, if we consider this ac magnetic properties change in the sensor design.

Human insulin gene is consisted of the polymorphic region with the repeating units, the regulatory sequence, the structural gene including the intervening sequence, and 3''-flanking region. The polymerase chain reaction, which amplifies the target DNA between two specific primers, has been performed for the amplification of human insulin gene and simple one-step cloning of it into Escherichia coli. Out of 1727 nuceotides compared, only 4 sites were variable: 5''-regulatory region(G2101 -> AGG); IVS I(T2401 -> A); Exon II(C2411 deletion); IVS II(A2740 dejection). The variations at the G2101 and T2401 were the same as those found in one American allele. The other two variations were observed only in the specific Korean allele. And, the enzyme digestion patterns among normal, insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, and non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus were the same. On the other hand, PCR method showed the possibility of the quickaccess for the polymorphic region in terms of the restriction fragment length of polymorphism.
