Purpose: The magnetic resonance(MR) appearance of 23 biopsy-proven meningiomas were retrospectively evaluatedand correlated with histologic pattern;fibroblastic, transitional, syncytial, angioblastic. Materials and Methods:Twenty three patients with biopsy-proven meningiomas were examined with MR imaging over a 3 years period. Imageswere assessed for average T1,T2 intensity score(1-5), degree of edema, calcification, cyst formation or necrosisand dural tail sign. Results: T1-weighted images show only one significant correlation between fibroblastic typeand angioblastic type (p<0.04). Angioblastic type was more hypointense than gray matter(1.83/isointense to gray 3)on T1-weighted image. Syncytial and angioblastic tumors had average T2 intensity scores much higher than those offibroblastic and transitional types. All three cases of angioblastic tumors had shown severe edema. Calcifiedlesions were much more common in transitional and fibroblastic types than in syncytial or angioblastic types.Conclusion: MRI is a helpful diagnostic imaging modality with good correlation between its MR findings andhistologic patterns.

Shakespeare developed his unique style of sonnet and set up his own originality in the themes too. The poet In the Shakespeare's sonnets idealized a special love towards a beautiful young man instead of towards an arrogant woman as was the case in the Petrarchan sonnets. He chose a dark lady as his mistress, who was far from being a conventional beauty of the times. Shakespeare suggests a dark lady as an object of reality which we should face with reason when we fall In love. So the poet in the Sonnets sees the defects of a dark lady even as he is tempted to her strongly. Shakespeare analyzed the ambivalent aspects of carnal love and spiritual love. His attitude of love towards the beautiful young man is humble and unselfish, and the attitude of a poet towards the dark lady is based on guilt and self-accusation. The former love appears as a positive one which has a true sense of spiritual unification yet the latter shows a negative aspect which has an absence of the sense of spiritual oneness. Even though the poet sees the deficiencies of the dark lady, he is inevitably tempted towards her. Through that love Shakespeare shows us the attributes of the human being's love, in which we cannot deny our bodily lust though we know it is temporal and transient. Through his Sonnets Shakespeare makes us face the limitations of love and get disillusioned with love. Shakespeare also suggests that we should pursue spiritual holiness though it is imposs ible to hold only spiritual aspect as a bodily being on this earthly life. Finally he suggests that only through arts, ideal love can achieve immortality, through poems in which lovers can overcome their finite live s . In the long run Shakespeare proves through his Sonnets that the sonnet is s uperior to anything else in preserving love as it is and providing immortality to human beings.
