유니버설디자인 관점에서의 무인 키오스크 디자인 적용 현황 연구 : 프랜차이즈 브랜드 매장 키오스크의 UI 직관성 및 활용 편의성을 중심으로

The introduction of kiosks is rapidly expanding due to various social and economic reasons such as the rise of the minimum wage and COVID-19. In particular, franchise cafes, convenience stores, and fast food restaurants have the highest rate of kiosk introduction compared to other industries. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the application status of universal design elements of kiosks introduced to these stores and derive measures to apply unmanned kiosks using the concept of universal design in the future. The research method was to collect data through on-site visits to the research target site and analyze cases based on an analysis framework that reconstructed the Universal Design 7 principles and PPP evaluation standards. The results of this study are as follows. First of all, easy-in-use and intuition are mostly high, but flexibility to support consumers with physical limitations such as language choice and vision and hearing was significantly low. In addition, all kiosks are fixed and have no convenience factor functions such as height adjustment, so there was a limit to smooth use depending on users such as wheelchairs. Therefore, height adjustment, voice and braille services should be provided. In addition, when configuring the Kiosk Screen UI, not only font and size, but also color composition, brightness, and contrast planning should be considered.
