        Repairing the Form From Corrective Feedback: Based on Recasts, Metalinguistic Clues, and Repetition

        This study explored which corrective feedback (didactic recasts, metalinguistic clues, and repetition) enabled students to repair the form more than when they were exposed to the same opportunities to uptake the form. The study was conducted using 48 Korean university students. The students were asked to write down the correct past forms of the irregular verbs during the pre-test, the immediate post-test, and a two-weeks-delayed post-test. Based on the pre-test, the three verbs that students answered incorrectly were selected for different feedback treatments. The results from the analysis with the recasts group showed higher rates of successful repair for the immediate pushed output. For the analysis of the two-weeks-delayed post-test, among linear mixed-effect models, the random intercept model was considered to be the best fitted model. This model illustrated that didactic recasts and metalinguistic clues were significantly efficient, even though the effectiveness was much greater on recasts. These results can be applied to teaching, in that recasts can be effective in enabling students to notice phonological and lexical errors; providing explicit corrective feedback might help improve the students’ accuracy when learning irregular morpho-syntactic items.

        화재 중 원형강관의 탄성좌굴 거동 분석

        Fire resistance of steel structure was very important because it rapidly changed according to temperature. Buckling behavior of steel structure under fire was imperative because it can local buckling failure by reduction of elastic modulus. In this paper, Elastic buckling behavior of circular steel tube under fire was investigated through finite element analysis. Parameters for this analysis were selected diameter-thickness ratio, fire exposure area, and fire scenarios. Elastic buckling strength of circular steel tube was rapidly reduced when it was exposed fire. Local buckling was occurred that this can be lead global failure. When fire resistance design of circular steel tube was performed, buckling behavior must be considered. 강재는 온도에 따라서 급격하게 그 물성치가 변하기 때문에 강구조물의 내화설계가 매우 중요하다. 강구조물의 경우 항복파괴도 중요하지만 화재에 의한 국부 혹은 전체의 탄성계수 감소에 의하여 급격한 좌굴강도의 감소가 발생할 가능성이 크기 때문에 이에 대한 거동 분석이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 화재 시 원형강관의 직경-두께비, 화재 노출 정도 그리고 화재시나리오에 따른 탄성좌굴특성을 유한요소해석 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 화재가 발생하여 원형 강관이 화재에 노출될 경우 원래 탄성좌굴 강도에 비해 급격하게 감소하였다. 이와 같이 강구조물에 화재가 발생할 경우에는 국부적인 화재에도 좌굴파괴에 취약해 지기 때문에 전체계의 붕괴로 이어질 수 있어 내화성능 평가 시 좌굴 거동 분석이 반드시 수행되어야 한다.

        한국어 말하기 연습 도구로서의 챗봇 빌더의 적합성 검증 연구

        The purpose of this study is to verify whether chatbots made with chatbot builders are suitable as a Korean speaking practice tool. Chatbot builders, which can be easily produced as chatbots without separate coding knowledge and can design conversations meaningful for learning, have recently been in the spotlight as a learning tool. In this study, chatbots were created using dialog flows, and conversation patterns with chatbots shared by study participants were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it was found that 35% of all conversations were not successfully completed. Such a conversation failure was found to be due to the inaccuracy of chatbot's recognition of Korean learner pronunciation, error in handling learner utterance intention, and inaccuracy in handling learner error sentences. In this regard, in order for chatbot builder to be used as a Korean language learning tool now, learner's proficiency or academic achievement should be considered for smooth processing of chatbot's learner utterance. In addition, this study is meaningful in that it verified the suitability of chatbot builders as a learning tool not covered in previous studies.

        시나리오를 기반으로 한 초급 한국어 말하기 연습용 챗봇 설계 방안 연구

        The purpose of this study is to develop tools for learners to practice speaking on their own using vocabulary and grammar they have learned after learning Korean. In this study, we proposed a way to develop chatbots for practicing speaking, reflecting the social background and the characteristics of Generation Z in which social media is developing. A chatbot is an easy-to-access digital device that has the advantage of being able to use it whenever and wherever you want. Also, through this tool, we would like to improve the reality of the lack of speaking practice in class. In order for these chatbots to function as speaking practice tools, structured scenarios must be based on which learners can use the vocabulary and grammar they have learned. Scenarios should also be designed through textbook analysis, because what learners have learned must be centered. Also, in order for chatbots to have educational effects, rather than simply a tool to determine whether learners' answers are correct or wrong answers, a dialogue process must be prepared. As the development of artificial intelligence technology accelerates, more diverse chatbots will be developed and more advanced discussions will be possible. Furthermore, scenario design and chatbot dialogue processing measures for intermediate and advanced learners will need to be undertaken in the future.

        신형식 Tri-Loc 소파블록의 구조적 거동 특성 분석

        These days, the design of wave dissipating blocks are not anymore appropriate, because port structures are already damaged by abnormal waves. Having said this, a technology for an improved stability of port structures is made a necessity. Kim and Park (2015) proposed a new wave dissipating block (Tri-Loc block) to counter abnormal wave. The performance of this block for wave dissipation was verified and tested through a hydraulic experiment and showed positive results. This paper then evaluates the structural performance of the blocks by FE Analysis, wherein it applied a free fall test simulation and the simulation includes boundary conditions at the surface from the height of free fall. The analysis showed that the blocks used have weak member connections and a retrofitting method was suggested to improve the structure of the block. 최근 설계파고보다 높은 이상 고파랑이 내습하면서 소파블록을 포함한 항만시설물의 유실 및 파괴가 발생하면서 항만구조물에 대한 안정성 향상 기술이 대두되고 있다. Kim et al(2015)는 신형식 소파블록(Tri-Loc)을 제시하였으며 수리실험을 통하여 우수한 소파성능을 발휘하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 신형 Tri-Loc 소파블록의 유한요소해석을 통하여 구조성능을 분석하였으며, 해석방법으로는 자유낙하시뮬레이션을 적용하였다. 경계조건으로는 자유낙하 시 지면과의 충격조건, 자유낙하높이를 선정하였다. 해석결과 본 블록은 부재의 연결부분이 취약한 것으로 나타났으며, 이 부분을 보강하는 방법들을 제시하여 분석한 결과 응력집중이 감소되는 것으로 나타났다.

        초급 한국어 말하기 연습 도구로서의 챗봇 분석 연구 : 세종학당 AI 선생님을 중심으로

        본 논문은 한국어 교육용으로 개발된 챗봇이 초급 한국어 학습자들의 말하기 연습에 적합한지 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 기 개발된 세종학당AI선생님을 연구 대상으로 삼아 초급 학습자들에게 세종학당AI선생님에 제시 된 초급 대화를 수행하라고 한 후에 챗봇과 학습자 간 대화 양상을 분석하여 챗봇의 경향성을 살펴 본 후 이를 토대로 초급 한국어 말하기 연습 도구로서의 적합성에 대해 가늠해 보았다. 대화 분석 결과, 초급 학습자들과 챗 봇과의 대화 연습이 학습자들에게 언어 습득으로 이어지기에는 챗봇의 발화 처리 및 대화 관리 기능에 다소 부족 한 점들이 많이 나타났으며 초급 학습자들에게 교육용 챗봇으로 기능하려면 좀 더 정교한 시나리오가 설계되어야 함을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 한국어 교육용 챗봇의 현황을 점검하고 개선점을 짚어볼 수 있었다는 데 의의 가 있다. The purpose of this paper is to examine whether chatbots developed for Korean language education are suitable for beginner Korean language learners' speaking practice. Using the previously developed King Sejong Institute AI teacher as a subject of research, we asked beginner learners to conduct the beginner conversation presented to King Sejong Institute AI teacher, and then analyzed the tendency of chatbots and learners to examine their conversation patterns, and based on this, we assessed their suitability as an elementary Korean speaking practice tool. As a result of conversation analysis, there were many shortcomings in the chatbot's speech processing and conversation management function because conversation practice between beginner learners and chatbots led to language acquisition for learners, and it was found that a more static exchange scenario should be designed to function as an educational chatbot for beginner learners. It is significant that this study was able to check the current status of chatbots for Korean language education and point out improvements.

        마이코플라즈마 폐렴에 동반된 범혈구 감소증 1례

        Mycoplasma pneumoniae is the most common pathogen of the respiratory tract among school- aged children and adolescents. It can also cause extrapulmonary manifestation that involves the skin, nervous system, digestive system, and hematopoietic system. A 12-year old girl was admitted to Asan Medical Center Children’s Hospital with M. pneumoniae pneumonia. Her respiratory symptoms and signs improved after the treatment with macrolide antibiotics, and she was discharged. However, pancytopenia developed 16 days after the first admission date. She was readmitted, and treated successfully with intravenous immunoglobulin. We reported her as the first case of pancytopenia asscociated with M. pnuemoniae pneumonia in Korea. Mycoplasma pnuemoniae는 학동기 소아의 호흡기 감염의 가장 흔한 원인이며 다양한 폐외 증상을 일으키는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이중 혈액학적 이상은 드물게 보고되고 있으며 용혈성 빈혈, 혈소판 감소증, 범혈구 감소증이 생길 수 있다. 저자들은 M. pnuemoniae 폐렴으로 입원 한 뒤 16일 뒤에 발생한 범혈구 감소증을 보인 12세 여아를 경험하였기에 이를 보고하는 바이다.

        한국어 교재에서의 맥락 정보 제시 방안 연구 -요청 표현 '-(으)ㄹ래(요)?'를 중심으로-

        The purpose of this study is to shed light on the ways to suggest the context of a ‘request’ expression ‘-(으)ㄹ래(요)?’ in the Korean textbooks through investigating the usage and situation where the Korean native speakers use ‘-(으)ㄹ래(요)?’. There are various ‘request’ expressions in Korean which have similar meaning, but each ‘request’ expressions are dependent on the context. Therefore, the Korean learners need to know the appropriate situational context in question to speak the appropriate ‘request’ expressions in the appropriate situation. First, it is examined how ‘-(으)ㄹ래(요)?’ is suggested in four kinds of Korean textbooks used in the language institutions attached to colleges. Secondly, it is analyzed how Korean native speakers use ‘-(으)ㄹ래(요)?’ as a ‘request’ form, using the corpus of drama scenarios. Going through these processes, this study discovered the situational context where ‘-(으)ㄹ래(요)?’ is used and suggested the way to present ‘-(으)ㄹ래(요)?’ in the Korean textbook. Although the corpus used in this study was not from the real spoken material but drama scenarios and the quantity of corpus was small, this study is meaningful in that the findings of this study provided the extended knowledge of ‘-(으)ㄹ래(요)?’ in the respect of context.
