사물인터넷 디바이스의 폐기 처리 정보를 활용한 객체 식별자, 모바일 RFID 및 QR 코드 구현

전 세계적으로 매년 약 5천만 톤의 전기 및 전자 폐기물이 발생하고 있는 상황에서 사물인터넷 디바이스가 2025년 약 750억 개에 달할 것으로 예상하고 있다. 그러나 사물인터넷 디바이스의 폐기 처리에 필요한 식별 기법에 대한 연구는 미미하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 사물인터넷 디바이스의 재활용 가능률과 재생 가능률, 각 부품의 재활용률 및 재생률 등의 EoLT(End-of-Life Treatment) 정보를 포함한 식별자를 제안하며, 객체 식별자, 모바일 RFID 및 QR 코드로 구현한다. 구현된 객체 식별자와 모바일 RFID는 통신 네트워크를 통해 원격 서버와 연동하여 사용될 수 있고, 구현된 QR 코드는 스마트폰 앱을 통해 간단히 사용될 수 있다. In a situation in which around 50 million metric tons of electrical and electronic products is generated globally per year, the total installed base of Internet of Things (IoT) devices is projected to amount to around 75 billion worldwide by 2025. However, there is very little research on identification schemes for end-of-life treatment (EoLT) of IoT devices. To address this issue, this paper proposes new identifiers including EoLT information such as recyclability rate (Rcyc) and recoverability rate (Rcov) of an IoT device, recycling rate (RCR) and recovery rate (RVR) of each part in the IoT device, etc. and implements them by using object identifier (OID), mobile radio frequency identification (RFID) and quick response (QR) code. The implemented OID and mobile RFID can be used with cooperation of a remote server via communication networks and the implemented QR code can be used simply with a smartphone app.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has been conducting side impact crash tests of new passenger vehicles and providing comparative crash worthiness information to the pubic since 2003. There are a lot of factors influencing on the IIHS side test result such as strength of vehicle structure, interior package design parameters, protection zone of side airbag system, and so on. The main purpose of this study is to develop the design guide for obtaining better IIHS side impact crash performance. For this, the statistical investigation was carried out for all crash test results released by IIHS. From this study, it was found that vehicle characteristics and interior package design parameters are important design parameters for IIHS side crash performance.
OFDM 기반의 유비쿼터스 광대역 접속을 위한 단일화 시간영역 채널 추정기

본 논문에서는 OFDM 시스템 기반의 유비쿼터스 무선 광대역 억세스를 위한 단일화된 시간영역 채널추정기(UTD-CE)를 제안하였다. 유비쿼터스 서비스를 위한 소프트웨어 라디오 플랫폼(Software Radio platform)의 요소기술로서, 제안된 UTD-CE는 IEEE802.11x WiFi, IEEE802.16x WiMAX, DMB, MediaFLO, DVB-H 등의 시스템 규격에 따라 다르게 적용되는 파일럿 심볼과 파일럿 부반송파의 할당을 주요가변 파라미터로 사용한다. 파일럿 정보가 주어지면 데이터 부반송파들의 채널 주파수 응답은 UTD-CE에서 위너 필터링과 DFT기반의 인터폴레이션에 의해 유사한 방법으로 예측된다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 파일럿 정보가 변할 때, 제안한 기법이 기존의 시간영역 채널추정기에 비해 성능이 우수함을 알 수 있다. This paper proposes a unified time-domain channel estimator (UTD-CE) for ubiquitous wireless broadband access based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. As a part of a software radio platform for ubiquitous services, the proposed UTD-CE can be exploited with the simply changeable parameters, pilot symbols and pilot subcarriers allocation, which are usually different according to the system specifications such as IEEE802.11x WiFI, IEEE802.16x WiMAX, DMB, Media FLO, DVB-H, etc. Given the pilot information, the channel frequency responses (CFRs) of data subcarriers will be analogously estimated by Wiener filtering and discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-based interpolation in the UTD-CE. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method significantly outperforms the conventional time-domain channel estimator when the pilot information is changed.

본 논문은 사람의 중기 염색체로 이루어진 디지털 이미지에서 Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network(R-CNN) 모델로 염색체 객체를 검출할 때 필요한 경사 하강 최적화기의 성능을 비교한다. Faster R-CNN의 경사 하강 최적화기는 Region Proposal Network(RPN) 모듈과 분류 점수 및 바운딩 박스 예측 블록의 목적 함수를 최소화하기 위해 사용된다. 실험에서는 이러한 네 가지 경사 하강 최적화기의 성능을 비교하였으며 VGG16이 기본 네트워크인 Faster R-CNN 모델은 Adamax 최적화기가 약 52%의 Mean Average Precision(mAP)를 달성하였고 ResNet50이 기본 네트워크인 Faster R-CNN 모델은 Adadelta 최적화기가 약 58%의 mAP를 달성하였다. In this paper, we compares the performance of the gredient descent optimizers of the Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (R-CNN) model for the chromosome object detection in digital images composed of human metaphase chromosomes. In faster R-CNN, the gradient descent optimizer is used to minimize the objective function of the region proposal network (RPN) module and the classification score and bounding box regression blocks. The gradient descent optimizer. Through performance comparisons among these four gradient descent optimizers in our experiments, we found that the Adamax optimizer could achieve the mean average precision (mAP) of about 52% when considering faster R-CNN with a base network, VGG16. In case of faster R-CNN with a base network, ResNet50, the Adadelta optimizer could achieve the mAP of about 58%.

In this paper, an area-efficient architecture of LDPC Decoder is proposed for DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) 2.0 systems. The proposed LDPC Decoder was designed in hardware description language (HDL) and implemented with Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGA. With the proposed architecture, the number of slices for the decoder is 56122 and the number of block RAM is 135.
창의교육 프로그램이 고등학생들의 창의적 문제해결력에 미치는 영향 - ‘나이테’주제를 중심으로 -

This study aimed to develop a tree ring-based creative education program focusing on the elements of "Ecosystem and environment" in the 2015 revised science and education curriculum and find out the effectiveness. To conduct the study, 50 randomly sampled high school students were analyzed for their creative problem-solving ability and their satisfaction with the creative education by applying the creative education program developed in this study. The results of the study are as follows. First, this study showed significant statistical test results (p<.05) from constructs: discovery and analysis of problems, idea generation, execution plan, execution, persuasion and communication, and innovation, in the paired samples t-test by pre-and post-score differences in creative problem-solving tests (p<.05), In other words, the education program centered on the theme of "a tree ring that records the environment" had a positive impact on the creative problem -solving of research participants. The figure of the sub-constructs of the satisfaction test, conducted after the application of the class, was 3.82 to 4.46, and it indicated that the creative education program developed in this study showed a positive response to students. In particular, in response to the class 'differentiation' construct, research participants responded to self-thinking activities without answers, which showed the fact that one could think by oneself and one's ideas could be an answer since there doesn't exist a correct answer has improved the participants' satisfaction of creative education classes.
