In order to develop a process of hydrogen-reduced steel production to realize a carbon-neutral agenda, a safety study on hydrogen pre-heater is required. For implementing hydrogen embrittlement research on pre-heater, it is essential to know solubility data of materials for hydrogen pre-heater to have hydrogen charging above solubility value. Therefore, it is inevitable to construct the hydrogen solubility data of hydrogen pre-heater materials. In this research, a review of hydrogen solubility data of three materials have been conducted: Hastelloy X, Inconel 690, and SS316L. After the data have been investigated and organized, it has a comparative analysis of experimental data. According to the results, it shows that different data exist under various conditions. Therefore, basic data suitable for this study could not be selected. In conclusion, it is necessary to establish a solubility measurement methodology to build hydrogen solubility data for the hydrogen pre-heater materials.
