발달장애인 처우론으로서의 사회적 유용성에 대한 비판적 고찰 : 영화 “힘을 내요 미스터 리”에 나타난 보훈 코드를 중심으로

본 연구는 영화 “힘을 내요 미스터 리”에 드러난 의미 대사 내용분석을 통해 발달장애인 처우론으로서의 사회적 유용성에 대한 비판적 고찰을 하는 데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 이 영화는 2003년 대구 지하철 참사에서 활약했던 가상의 소방관 이야기를 다루고 있는데, 사고 후유증으로 발달장애를 갖게 된 주인공 부녀에 대한 긍정적·사회적 관심의 실체가 과연 어디에서 비롯된 것인지 보훈 코드를 중심으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 분석 결과, 등장인물의 대사 분석을 통해 7개 하위범주와 3개 범주를 도출하였다. 먼저 첫 번째 범주 여느 발달장애인에 대해 마찬가지의 인식 의 하위범주에는 보살핌 필요 대상 , 바보스러움 , 동정어린 시선의 자각 , 두 번째 범주 여느 부모와 마찬가지인 父情의 표출 의 하위범주에는 애틋한 부정 , 보호본능의 발현 , 트라우마의 극복 , 세 번째 범주 전 국민의 지지 의 하위범주에는 헌신에 대한 감사 로 제시되었다. 이로부터 발달장애인을 비롯한 우리 사회의 다양한 소수자들에 대한 사회적 지지의 근거가 사회적 유용성이라는 구태의연한 논리로부터 벗어날 필요성과 더불어 궁극적으로 인권 내지 인간존중이라는 기본이념의 중요성에 관해 제언하였다. This study analyzed the meaning lines shown in the movie CHEER UP, MR. LEE to critical study on the social usefulness as a theory of treatment for the developmental disabled. The film tells the story of a fictional firefighter who played in the 2003 Daegu subway disaster, and focuses on The Veterans Code to see where the real interest in the development-impaired person came from. The study classifies view of developed-impaired person into three categories and seven subcategories by analysis of actor’s dialogue. First, the subcategories of the first category, the same perception of people with developmental disabilities, include objects in need of care , stupidity , awareness of compassionate gaze . Second, the subcategories of the second category, expression of the paternal love as any other parent include “father’s love”, “stirring up protective instinct”, “overcoming trauma”. Third, the subcategory of last category, “all citizen’s support” includes “grateful for dedications”. Out of this, the analysis suggests that we need to break away from the old logic that the basis of social support for various minorities in our society, including those with developmental disabilities, is social utility, and importance of basic ideology as human rights or respecting human.
