Microbiogels made from natural polymers are attractive for biomedical applications such as drug delivery and have various manufacturing methods. However, it has drawbacks such as unstable yield and cumbersome separation process. This study presents a simple method to form cosmetic W (microbiogel)/O emulsion that produces microbiogel directly during cosmetic W/O emulsion manufacturing process and then stably produce the W (microbiogel)/O/W multi-emulsion through a continuous room temperature process. We confirmed that a partitioned structure was formed in which other particles exist within the particles dispersed in the outer water phase from microscopic observation of the prepared W/O/W multi-emulsion and the particle size and viscoelasticity of W/O emulsion and W/O/W multi-emulsion increased as the ratio of inner water phase (microbiogel) increased. This manufacturing method can produce high-content microbiogels and is of significant value in research on W/O/W cosmetic formulations that can encapsulate various water-soluble and oil-soluble active ingredients within a partitioned structure.

Microbiogels are biocompatible and biodegradable, so they have various biomedical applications such as drug delivery and their manufacturing methods. However, it has drawbacks such as unstable yield, multi-step procedure, and cumbersome separation process. This study presented a simple one-step method for preparing microbiogel directly during water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion manufacturing process of cosmetics. We controlled the critical gelation temperature (Tgel) of biogel by carrageenan and polyol content and the particle size of microbiogels in emulsions by food emulsifier content. We moniter the release of encapsulated gelatin in microbiogel over Tgel and find the release of the encapsulants can be regulated by controlling the temperature. We find this microbiogel increases the complex modulus (G*) of emulsion. This one-step method is of great value in the study of W/O cosmetic formulations that can encapsulate various active ingredients in microbiogels.

Cyanidin-3-O-(2"-xylosyl)-glucoside (C-3-O-(2"-xylosyl)-G) was analyzed as an active constituent from the fruit of Siberian ginseng (Acanthopanax senticosus)using a HPLC diode array detection-electrospray ionization/mass spectrometry analysis system and the effect of C-3-O-(2''-xylosyl)-G on UVB-induced inflammatory signaling in JB6 P+ cells was investigated. C-3-O-(2"-xylosyl)-G inhibited UVB-induced cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 expression and promoter binding activity in JB6 P+ cells and JB6 P+cells stably transfected with the COX-2 luciferase reporter plasmid. It inhibited both the UVB-induced activator protein-1 (AP-1) and nuclear factor (NF)-κB transactivation in JB6 P+ cells stably transfected with the AP-1 and NF-κB luciferase reporter plasmids. Additionally, C-3-O-(2"-xylosyl)-G significantly suppressed UVB-induced upregulated phosphorylation of c-Jun N terminal kinase,MEK/extracellular signaling kinase, and mitogen activated protein kinase kinase (MAPKK) 3/6 in JB6 P+ cells. These results indicate that C-3-O-(2"-xylosyl)-G may be a promising chemopreventive material that acts by suppressing COX-2expression and AP-1 and NF-κB transactivation and JNK,MAPKK3/6, and MEK/ERK1/2 phosphorylation.

Objectives : From this study, we sight to identify Anti-stress effect of Chenwangbosim-Dan (Tianwangbuxin-Dan) Extract∘Fermented Rice Extract (GABA ː gamma-aminobutyric acid 30%) Complex Methods : In order to measure the degree of functional evaluation of tension relief due to stress, it was evaluated whether the psychological indicators VAS(Visual Analog Scale) and POMS(Profile Of Mood State) were improved. Which is generally used for stress measurement and has a high frequency of clinical use. All clinical trial subjects were required to take the drug once a day at 9 ± 30 min in the morning for 2 weeks. Results : After intake, the group that Chenwangbosim-Dan(Tianwangbuxin-Dan) Extract∘Fermented Rice Extract (GABA ː gamma-aminobutyric acid 30%) Complex had a statistically significant improvement effect compared to before intake due to an improved 30.81% of the VAS scores. The POMS-T score improved 54.13%, the POMS-V score improved 117.5% and the POMS-F score improved 59%, which had a statistically significant effect compared to Placebo group (p<0.001). There is a significant difference between two group, so even considering the placebo effect, the anti stress effect was confirmed in the Chenwangbosim-Dan (Tianwangbuxin-Dan) Extract∘Fermented Rice Extract (GABA ː gamma-aminobutyric acid 30%) Complex intake group. Conclusions : The above results showed that the Chenwangbosim-Dan(Tianwangbuxin-Dan) Extract∘Fermented Rice Extract (GABA ː gamma-aminobutyric acid 30%) Complex had an anti-stress effect. Therefore, it is expected to be developed as a safe and comfortable mental care health functional food that can reduce the risk of drug abuse.
