Neuman's model provides a valuable focus on health. The concepts used to describe health(consciousness, movement, time, space) are visionary, and reflect a model that is significant because it is broad in scope and complex. Research using model is limited the model provides fertile ground for the furture development of a knowledge base unique to nursing science.

Data were collected by a self-rating questionnaire including demographic data, a Korean version of Internet addiction, impulsivity and self-efficacy. Result: Impulsivity and self-efficacy according to Internet addition were significantly different (F=22.909, p< .001). There were significant correlations between Internet addiction and impulsivity (r=.280, p<.01), between Internet addiction and selfefficacy(r=-.288, p<.01) and between impulsivity and self-efficacy (r=-.665, p<.01). Conclusion: These results indicate that the more addictive to the Internet the more impulsive and the less self-efficacious. Therefore, further studies are needed to generalize these results and examine the effects of Internet addiction more broadly.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of a group movement exercise program on psychophysiological variables in the institutionalized elderly. Methods: This research adopted the non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Twenty elders were selected as an experimental group, whereas twentytwo elders were as a control group. The group movement program consisted of 35 minutes of dance and three days a week for eight weeks. Resting systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and heart rate were measured in a relaxed sitting position. The range of flexion and extension of joint was measured with a gonimeter. Life satisfaction and self-efficacy were measured by self-report. Data were analyzed through x2-test, t-test and ANCOVA using SPSS/WIN program. Results: The results were as follows: Resting systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and resting heart rate decreased significantly by the group movement training. The range of flexion and extension of the shoulder and hip joints increased significantly. The scores of life satisfaction and self-efficacy increased remarkably by the group movement. Conclusion: The results suggest that group movement training can be an effective intervention to improve psychophysiological variables and the range of motion for the institutionalized elderly.

The present study was carried out among nurses to identify their knowledge and attitudes toward assessment and intervention of patients with pain. This study results expected to provide a basic data of educational program about pain management for nurses. Samples were selected from 238 nurses working at three hospitals in Taegue during the period of August-October, 1994. The questionaires were developed for this study by authors. The results were as follows. 1. The total score was 60.75%. It indicated that nurses had lack of knowledge and attitudes toward assessment and intervention of patients with pain. 2. On the assessment of patients with pain, nurses made correct answers such items as facial expression(97.9%), moaning(94.5%), anxiety and depression (92.2%). However there were low rates of correct answers about pain physiology and theory(28.6%), measuring pain as VAS(4.6%), MPQ(5.9%), INTENSITY(8.4%) and attitudes toward patients with pain. 3. According to rates of correct answer about nursing intervention of pain patients, there was low level of analgesic medication as 33.2%. There were high rates of 89.9%, 94.1% about 'needed family support and participation for pain management'. there was somewhat low about the item : 'it is possible to control pain by patient and their family teaching'(72.7%). And most nurses knew that cognitive behavioral approach, divertion and relaxation were helpful to relief pain. 4. In further analysis, it was shown that mean scores of knowledge and attitudes toward pain management were influenced on whether nurses were educated about it or not. As the above results, it showed that nurses had lack of knowledge base of assessement and intervention of pain patients and misconcepts of pain relief. Therefore it is necessary for nurses to be given an appropriate education about pain management before taking care of patient with pain.
