한국 중소기업의 국제전략제휴 성과 결정요인에 관한 연구

강태구 ( Kang Tae Gu ),백형엽 ( Baeg Hyeong Yeob ) 한국국제통상학회 2003 국제통상연구 Vol.8 No.1

This study, unlike previous ones, identified the factors which would affect performance in international strategic alliances in small and medium-sized Korean firms systematically and empirically by structuring the two-stage model, which was divided into the pre-alliance stage and the post-alliance stage. As a result of multiple regressions, `trust` which is a variable related to the characteristics of partners, and `local government`s policy` were found as the major determinants of performance in the pre-alliance stage. `Information sharing` which is a variable related to communication behavior, was found as the major determinant of performance in the post-alliance stage. It was also found that the determinants of performance in international strategic alliances in small and medium-sized Korean firms differed according to the performance variables(ROI/Satisfaction) between the pre-alliance stage and the post-alliance stage. These findings strongly support that companies, when trying to improve their performance of international strategic alliance, should approach their alliance strategy differently according to the performance variables.

        국제전략제휴의 성과 결정요인

        강태구(Kang Tae Gu),백형엽(Baeg Hyeong Yeob) 한국경영학회 2003 經營學硏究 Vol.32 No.3

This study, unlike previous ones, identified the factors which affect performance in international strategic alliances in Korean firms systematically and empirically, by structuring the research model of process approach divided into three stages, the pre-alliance stage, the post-alliance stage, and the sustainable partnership building stage. As results of multiple regression, partner`s commitment and contribution, variables related to the characteristics of partner, were found as the major determinants of performance in international strategic alliances in the pre-alliance stage. And participation which is a variable related to the communication behavior, was found as the major determinant of performance in the post-alliance stage. Finally local government`s supporting policy was found as the major determinant of performance in the sustainable partnership building stage. Also, the determinants of performance in international strategic alliances in Korean firms and the relative influence of variables were found to differ according to the performance variables in the stages of development in alliance. These findings show that companies should approach their alliance strategy according to the performance variables when they try to improve the performance of international strategic alliance.
